Covington -- James Braden, 78, retired banker, died Saturday at his home. Services were Monday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home had charge. He was a member of Dunham Lodge 150 and a graduate of Louisiana State University. Mr. Braden, the husband of Marion Braden, also leaves a daughter, Nina Lee Braden, and a son, Wade Braden, both of Knoxville; two sisters, Peggy Caldwell of Ripley and Mary Ann Sellers of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Gene Braden of Memphis, and two grandchildren.

Michie -- Ellis Harvey Moss, 76, retired supervisor for Hagy Foods, died Sunday at McNairy Regional Hospital. Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer has charge. Mr. Moss, the husband of Wilma Moss, also leaves a daughter, Sharon Shadburn of Corinth, Miss.; two sons, Eric Moss of Michie and Harvey Moss of Corinth; a sister, Ressie Millyard of Pinson, Ala.; a brother, Elbert Moss of Pulaski, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Middleton -- Emogene S. Collier, 77, former production worker at Kilgore, died Monday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar with burial in New Hope cemetery. She was a World War II Women's Army Corps veteran, member of New Hope Church of Christ and attended Middleton Church of Christ. Mrs. Collier, the widow of L.T. Collier, leaves a daughter, Jeannie Collier Coughlin of Jackson, and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Middleton -- William Mayo Sain, 89, former Middleton mayor, Middleton alderman and compressor operator for Tennessee Gas & Transmissions for 38 years, died Monday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Middleton First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Hebron cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar has charge. He was a member of Middleton Mason and Shriner's Lodge, member of County Tax Equalization Board, beer board, Porter's Creek Watershed and Hardeman County Civil Service boards. Mr. Sain, the husband of Addie Sain, also leaves a daughter, Carolyn Christly of Hernando, Miss.; a son, Bill Sain of Middleton; three sisters, Juanita Richardson of Adamsville, Sue Scott of Middleton and Gloria Roberts of Olive Branch, Miss., three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Milledgeville -- Everett L. Jarrett, 90, Pfizer trucking employee, died Sunday at Tri-County Convalescent Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home Adamsville Chapel with burial in Lebanon cemetery in Saltillo. Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer has charge. He was a member of Moose Lodge in East St. Louis, Ill. Mr. Jarrett, the widower of AnnMae Jarrett and L.V. Jarrett, leaves two sons, James Neal Jarrett of Troy, Ill., and Jerry L. Jarrett of Woodstock, Ga.; a sister, Agnas Jarrett, six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Newbern -- Shelia McGuire Dalton, 50, homemaker, died Sunday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with burial in Fairview cemetery. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Mrs. Dalton, the widow of Charles A. Dalton, leaves two sons, Joshua J. Canada and Lucas H. Canada, both of Newbern; her parents, J.R. and Sue Holt McGuire of Dyersburg, and two brothers, Kenneth McGuire of Newbern and Michael McGuire of Ripley.

Somerville -- Jimmie Lou Raborn Soltow, 81, formerly of Bartlett, former registered nurse for US Veterans Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and retired registered nurse, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home with burial in Fayette County Memorial Park. She was an Air Force veteran and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville. Mrs. Soltow, the wife of John R. Soltow for 51 years, also leaves a daughter, Barbara F. Morris of Oakland; a son, John Alan Soltow of Lusby, Md., and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Amos, the wife of Alvin Amos, also leaves a daughter, Sherry Wesley; five sons, Eddie Patterson, James Cooper, Haywood Cooper, Jackie D. Patterson and Ricky A. Cooper; her mother, Ethel Mae Patterson, and two sisters, Minnie Ree Devine and Pauline Fleming, all of Memphis; four brothers, Haywood Patterson Jr., Ferry Lee Patterson and Robert Lee Patterson, all of Memphis, and Eddie Lee Patterson of Wisconsin; her grandmother, Hattie Mae Franklin of Memphis, 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine, he was a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, and Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Austin, the husband of Elizabeth W. Austin, also leaves two daughters, Catherine Austin Richardson and Elizabeth Lane Austin, both of Memphis; three sisters, Hazel Austin Pratt of Florida, and Betty Jo Austin Goodwin and Jewel Austin Boelsterli, both of Georgia; three brothers, Milton Austin and Harry Austin, both of Georgia, and Billy S. Austin of Florida, and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Capleville United Methodist Church.

Georgia J. Melsheimer Bartosch, 86, formerly of St. Louis, homemaker, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Balmoral Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with inurnment in Colum Barim cemetery in St. Louis. Her body was donated to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Anatomy Department for research. Mrs. Bartosch, the wife of Henry Bartosch for 57 years, also leaves three daughters, Teddie Ann Brotherton of Brownsboro, Ala., Heidi Lynn Bartosch of Memphis and Tracee S. Bartosch of Senatobia, Miss.; two sons, Henry Bartosch III of Memphis and Robyn D. Bartosch of St. Louis; two sisters; a brother, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Baddour Memorial Center in Senatobia, Madonna Learning Center or Methodist Alliance Hospice.
