Somerville -- Kayleen Allen Ring, 46, former beautician, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home with burial in Fayette County Memorial Park. She was a Baptist. She leaves two sons, Dan Allen Maturen and Robert J. Maturen, and a sister, Priscilla Miller, all of Oakland; a brother, Steve Allen of Heber Springs, Ark., and eight grandchildren.

Trimble -- Harvey Gerald Moore, 66, retired lumberjack, died Thursday at his home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cool Springs cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern has charge. Mr. Moore, the widower of Mary Moore, leaves two sons, David Moore of Trimble and Randy Moore of Nebo; four sisters, Maxine Marbrey of Dyersburg, Patsy Pope of Ridgely, and Pearl Bossung and Alma Timmons, both of St. Louis; a brother, Edward Moore of Trimble, and two granddaughters.

Flenoid Calvin Aldridge, 79, of Memphis, retired dietitian for Memphis Veterans Medical Center, died there Wednesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Longview Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was a member, with burial in National cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Aldridge, the widower of Ruby Aldridge, leaves a daughter, Carol White of Redding, Calif.; two sons, Carl Jerome Aldridge and Reuben Aldridge, and a sister, Mallie Tompkins, all of Memphis; a brother, Sherman Aldridge of Los Angeles, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A.W. Armstead, 76, of Memphis, retired security officer, died Friday at his home. Services will be at noon Friday at First Baptist Church First Street, where he was a member, with burial in New Park cemetery. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. Mr. Armstead, the husband of Earline Armstead, also leaves a daughter, Shelia Armstead of Memphis; six sons, J.W. Armstead of Milwaukee, Fred Armstead of Memphis, and Claude Armstead, Calvin Armstead, Byron Armstead and Leonard Hill, all of Batesville, Miss.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Adams of Memphis; two stepsons, Sidney Isom of Seattle and Tyrone Smith of Memphis, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tommie Gossett Carter, 79, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, marketing for caster distributor, former director of Hamilton County (Tenn.) Republican Party, and former program director for WFFA in Helena, Ark., NBC in New York City and WFLI in Chattanooga, died March 27 in Signal Mountain. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park. Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel has charge. She was a graduate of Central High School, attended University of Alabama, was state president of Tennessee Jaycettes and a life member of Chattanooga Jaycettes. She leaves a daughter, Gayle Carter Simpkins of Signal Mountain; two sons, Blair W. Carter of Signal Mountain and William T. Carter of Hixson, Tenn., eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Beecher Dobbs, 101, of Memphis, retired owner of J&B; Grocery Store, died Wednesday at Wesley Highland Manor. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Warren United Methodist Church, where she was a member for 70 years, with burial in Elmwood. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a volunteer and president of Memphis City Beautiful Commission. Mrs. Dobbs, the widow of Joseph H. Dobbs, leaves a niece who took care of her, Mabel Horton of Columbia, Md.

Amanda Edwards, 95, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood cemetery in Clarksville, Tenn. Family Funeral Care has charge. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Edwards, the widow of J.T. Edwards, leaves a daughter, Harriette McClendon of Memphis; a son, Jay Edwards of Oklahoma City, seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to American Heart Association or St. Stephen United Methodist Church.

James Hammond III, 84, of Indian River Shores, Fla., and Memphis, retired owner of Memphis Aero, died Friday at his home in Indian River Shores. He attended McCallie Prep School in Chattanooga, Rhodes College and University of the South and was a member of the Johns Island Club and Memphis Country Club. Mr. Hammond, the husband of Mary Rembert Hammond, also leaves two daughters, Katharine Rembert Hammond and Nina Hammond Tayloe, and a son, James Thomas Hammond IV, all of Memphis, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
