Melvin M. Mueller, 68, of Memphis, retired pressman for The Commercial Appeal, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at noon Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park South Woods. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Mr. Mueller, the husband of Harriet Mueller for 45 years, also leaves a daughter, Jacquelyn Mueller Butler of Memphis; three sons, Steven Randal Mueller of Memphis, Neal Robert Mueller of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kenneth Mueller of St. Louis; three sisters, Wilma Schilling, Bernice Dangos and Eleanor Binder, and a brother, Clarence Mueller, all of St. Louis, a grandchild, four stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or West Clinic.

Mrs. Nelson, the widow of Melvin Nelson, leaves five daughters, Mary Gordon of Lawrenceville, Ga., Jemelle Craig of Virginia Beach, Va., Sharlene Lack of Kennett, Mo., Marla Langford of Carrollton, Ga., and Lisa Garner of Memphis; a son, Shannon Pherigo of Horn Lake; a sister, Barbara Beebe of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, George Beebe Jr. of Palatka, Fla., Robert Beebe of Las Vegas and Paul Beebe of Jacksonville, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Alzheimer's Day Services of Memphis or the Alzheimer's Association.

Mr. Scott, the husband of Miriam T. Scott for 35 years, also leaves two sons, Robert Ewing Scott Jr. of Memphis and Charles R. 'Randy' Scott of Collierville, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
