Charles Earl Morgan, 64, of Memphis, retired from the Air Force, died Sunday at Saint Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Roller Family Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Morgan, the husband of Yvonne Morgan, also leaves two daughters, Rachel Bomar of Milton, Del., and Susan Hudson of Virginia; a son, Charles Morgan of Bartlett; a brother, John Morgan of Little Rock, and seven grandchildren.

Jack Allen Morton, 79, of Memphis, retired steeplejack, died Sunday at his home. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where he was a communicant, with burial in Memorial Park. Family Funeral Care has charge. Mr. Morton, the widower of Billie Jean Shoemake Morton, leaves five daughters, Paula Morton Lutts of Batesville, Miss., Edna Shaffer of Dodge City, Kan., Patricia Davis of Bakersfield, Calif., and Nancy Tidwell and Vivian Carter, both of Memphis; three sons, Kenneth Lee White of Houston, Marvin Morton of Batesville and Robert Darrell Morton of Memphis; two sisters, Sammy Louise Crist of Jonesboro and Rebecca Bilderain of Lamar, Miss., 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Ernestine Picquet, 82, of Chicago, formerly of Memphis, died April 5 at Roseland Community Hospital in Chicago. Services will be at noon Saturday at A.A. Rayner & Sons Funeral Home in Chicago with burial in Lincoln cemetery there. Mrs. Picquet, the widow of Walter Picquet, leaves two sisters, Clairie King and Mableleen Blakney, both of Memphis, and three brothers, James E. Mabry of Boulder, Colo., and Charles Mabry and Otha Mabry, both of Memphis.

James W. 'Jimbo' Prudent Jr., 82, of Memphis, retired from the Postal Service and owner of Manhattan Liquor store, died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at noon Friday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on Looney, where he was a member of the trustee board, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Prudent, the husband of Elizabeth Prudent, also leaves three daughters, Janice Woods of Southfield, Mich., and Elizabeth Davis and Helen Smith, both of Nashville; a son, James Edward Prudent, and his mother, Willie L. Prudent, both of Memphis, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Ruff, the wife of Obie Ruff, also leaves a daughter, Ida Perry of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Jean Oneal of Chicago; two sisters, Louise Watson and Flavie Watson, both of Senatobia, Miss.; four brothers, Walter Watson of Memphis, and Ollie Watson, Winford Watson and Lucious Watson, all of Senatobia, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jimmy 'Pops' Tutor, 69, of Memphis, police officer, died Monday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Baldwin Funeral Home in Pontotoc, Miss., with burial in West Heights cemetery there. He was a Korean War Army veteran and member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
