Bertha Jeanes, 89, of Memphis, retired from Firestone after 30 years, died Monday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Coleman Family Chapel in Corinth, Miss., with burial in Lone Oak Baptist Church cemetery. She was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeanes, the widow of Dave Jeanes, leaves two sons, A.P. Crum and Odell Crum, both of Memphis; a sister, Vera Rogers of Corinth, and three grandchildren.

Marcie Ann Jester, 78, of Memphis, retired secretary for First Unity Church after 30 years, died Monday at Quince Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Unity Church, where she was a member, with burial in Forest Hill cemetery Midtown. Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown has charge. Mrs. Jester, the widow of Horace L. Jester, leaves a stepdaughter, Patty Billingsley of Oklahoma City; a caregiver, Lloyd E. Jordan of Memphis, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sam Eddie Jordan, 78, of Memphis, retired from E.I. DuPont Co., died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at Cane Creek Baptist Church on Elvis Presley, where he was a deacon board, trustee board and choir member and Sunday school superintendent, with burial at 10 a.m. Monday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Jordan, the husband of Alene Shotwell Jordan, also leaves six daughters, Ernestine Banks, Irma J. Porter, Evangeline McGowan, Venessa Jordan and Elaine Samuels, all of Memphis, and Jacqueline Jordan Richardson of Milwaukee; four sons, Samuel Jordan, Horace P. Jordan, Kenneth Jordan and Marcus Jordan, all of Memphis; a sister, Pearline Maxwell Jordan of Chicago; two brothers, Charles Lee Jordan of Crystal Springs, Miss., and Willie Jordan of Jackson, Miss., 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
