Julius C. Warmath, 66, of Memphis, retired diesel mechanic for Illinois Central Railroad, died Saturday in Lonoke, Ark. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill cemetery Midtown. Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown has charge. He was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. He leaves two daughters, Diane W. Ramsey of West Memphis and Lisa W. Ramsey of Atlanta; three sons, Julius C. Warmath of Lonoke, Mark Alan Warmath of Dacula, Ga., and Michael T. Warmath of Clearwater, Fla., 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.

Melvin C. Wright, 56, of Memphis, died Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a Baptist. Mr. Wright, the husband of Joyce Wright, also leaves two daughters, Mia Wright and Nigel Wright; a son, Mario Wright, and a sister, Gwendolyn Conklin, all of Memphis, and seven grandchildren.

Covington -- Mary Emma Adams Boyd, 54, dietary aide for Crestview Middle School, died April 12 at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mason with burial in King's Hill cemetery in Brighton. Currie's Funeral Home in Henning has charge. She leaves a daughter, Sandra Smith of Memphis; two sons, Anthony Boyd and Tim Boyd Jr., both of Covington; two sisters, Clem Hill of Covington and Connie Adams Joyner of Pontiac, Mich.; three brothers, Thomas Adams, Warren Adams and William Adams, all of Covington, and six grandchildren.

Hornsby -- James Earnest West, 58, maintenance worker for Spectrum Corp., died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar with burial in Hatchie cemetery. He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran. Mr. West, the husband of Linda West, also leaves three daughters, Lavonia Clay of Hornsby, and Shannon West and Wendy Shipman, both of Selmer; three sons, Todd Kiestler and Chris West, both of Bethel Springs, and Jimmy West of Selmer; his mother, Susie Eads West of Bethel Springs; two sisters, Linda Cox of Bethel Springs and Sherry Dorris of Hornsby; six brothers, Kenneth West of Hornsby, Earl West of Adamsville, Joe West of Gonzales, La., Billy West and Denny West, both of Bethel Springs, and Robert West of Morton, Ill., and 12 grandchildren. Morris Chapel -- Virginia Christine Pickard, 69, retired corrections officer, real estate broker, cake decorator and florist, died April 12 at her home. Services were Monday at Shackelford Funeral Home with burial in Matlock cemetery in Hardin County. She was a member of Love and Truth Church in Adamsville, Order of the Eastern Star and the local rescue squad, a scout leader and a volunteer for the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association and the local fire department and school. Mrs. Pickard, the widow of Joseph Earl Aycock and the wife of John Earl Pickard, also leaves a daughter, Linda F. White of Savannah; three sons, Larry M. Workman of Bartlett, Mathew C. Workman of Muskegon, Mich., and David C. Workman of Morris Chapel; a sister, Rebecca S. Dobson of Memphis, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Ripley -- Harvey E. Thurmond, 54, of Melrose Park, Ill., formerly of Ripley, retired Marine Corps veteran after 26 years and railroad groundskeeper, died Thursday at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Garner Funeral Home with burial in Thurmond cemetery. Mr. Thurmond, the husband of Debora Thurmond of Franklin Park, Ill., for 5 years, also leaves a stepdaughter, Debbie Charles, and two stepsons, Lee Rempala and Adam Charles, all of Franklin Park; a sister, Carol Tompkins of Ripley; a brother, George Thurmond Jr. of Franklin Park, and two grandchildren.

Stanton -- Aaron Kincaid, 79, retired farmer, died Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rosenwald cemetery in Brownsville. Mr. Kincaid, the widower of Rosetta Rogers Kincaid, leaves three daughters, Nadine Taylor, Christine Howard and Lela Dyanne Bates, all of Jackson; two sons, Aaron Kincaid Jr. of Nashville and Larry Kincaid of Jackson; a sister, Nancy Kincaid of Stanton, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran, a Purple Heart recipient and a graduate of Winona State Teachers College.
