She leaves two daughters, Shannon Jackson and Shundra Jackson, both of Memphis; her father, James Jackson of Coahoma, Miss., and a companion with whom she lived, Michael Donahue.

Dereck D. Jones, 27, of Memphis, died Sunday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Union cemetery. N.H. Owens & Son Funeral Home has charge. He leaves a son, Derrick Dewayne Payne; his mother, Cynthia A. Jones; his father, Marvin Winston; five sisters, Quntonette Jones, Clera Jones, Syntrel Jones, Megan Jones and Nadolyn Winston; five brothers, Travis Jones, Lamunt Jones, Jamell Jones, Evan Jones and Rico Winston, and his grandmother, Annie Jones.

John Vincent Jones, 57, of Collierville, plumber for Krag Co., investment broker and lapidary artisan, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Cryptside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. He was a former president of Memphis Archeological & Geological Society. Mr. Jones, the husband of Doris Jones, also leaves a daughter, Carol Crews of Memphis; a son, John Vincent Jones Jr. of Montana; his mother, Wanda Jones of Memphis, and a brother, Jay Steven Jones of Olive Branch. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Scleroderma Foundation.

Sam Eddie Jordan, 78, of Memphis, retired from E.I. DuPont Co., died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at Cane Creek Baptist Church on Elvis Presley, where he was a deacon board, trustee board and choir member and Sunday school superintendent, with burial at 10 a.m. Monday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Jordan, the husband of Alene Shotwell Jordan, also leaves six daughters, Ernestine Banks, Irma J. Porter, Evangeline McGowan, Vanessa Jordan Grant and Elaine Samuels, all of Memphis, and Jacqueline Jordan Richardson of Milwaukee; four sons, Samuel Jordan, Horace P. Jordan, Kenneth Jordan and Marcus Jordan, all of Memphis; a sister, Pearline Maxwell Jordan of Chicago; two brothers, Charles Lee Jordan of Crystal Springs, Miss., and Willie Jordan of Jackson, Miss., 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Memphis Education Association and Tennessee Education Association. She leaves a daughter, Ava Woody of Memphis; three sisters, Florida White of Boston, and Marjorie Lenton and Mary Penny, both of Memphis; three brothers, Joe Lewis of New York City, Jessie Lewis of Memphis and William Lewis of Batesville, Miss., and three grandchildren.

Everlina Loyd, 57, of Memphis, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Castalia Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in New Park cemetery. Mrs. Loyd, the widow of Eddie Loyd, leaves a daughter, Sharon A. Shorter, and two sons, Martin Loyd and Alvin Loyd, all of Memphis; four sisters, Ethelyn Smith and Valerie Briggs, both of Memphis, and Dorothy Wells and Betty Wells, both of Chicago; a brother, Samuel Wells of Memphis, 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mr. Phillips, the husband of Ruth Marie Phillips for 55 years, also leaves two daughters, Rena Phillips Chandler and Donna Kay Phillips, both of Memphis; two sons, Jewel Ray Phillips Jr. and John Franklin Phillips, both of Olive Branch; two sisters, Pauline Bradley of Oxford, Miss., and Norma Wilson of Nebraska, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Thurston, leaves three daughters, Becky Robinson, Kay Finch and Linda Thurston; a son, James H. Thurston; a sister, Evelyn Jeffers, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
