Brownsville -- Julia Ann Wright Fleming, 70, retired nurse, died Tuesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brownsville Funeral Home with burial in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Fleming, the widow of Jerry Don Fleming, leaves a daughter, Susan Marie Burnett of Brownsville; two sons, Jerry Michael Fleming of Mountainair, N.M., and James Edward Fleming of Brownsville; a sister, Kathy Beth Smith of Cyril, Okla., 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Covington -- Walter Lee Adams, 74, retired maintenance worker for the City of Covington and mechanic for Shelton Motor Co., died Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home with burial in R.H. Munford cemetery. He was an Army veteran and a member of member of Covington ARP Church, where he was a former deacon and elder, and Dunham Lodge 150 F&AM.; He leaves a stepdaughter, Lisa L. Cromwell, and a stepson, Gary Liles, both of Covington; two sisters, Helen Robison of Holly Springs, Miss., and Joanna St. John of Mississippi; a brother, Charles Adams of Grand Junction, Colo., and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Covington ARP Church.

Covington -- Minnie Louise Kitchens, 79, homemaker, died Wednesday at Covington Manor. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh cemetery. She was a member of Garland Baptist Church. Mrs. Kitchens, the wife of Leroy Kitchens, also leaves five sisters, Mary Erwin, Jean Burgess and Juanita Mathis, all of Covington, Hildred Ivey Pittman of Morrison, Ill., and Bernice Hanson of Burlison. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Shiloh cemetery.

She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of Morris Chapel United Pentecostal Church, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7887 Ladies Auxiliary and the Pastoral Ministry of Morris Chapel Lexington, Milledgeville and Sardis Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Chalk, the widow of Richard Turner and wife of Rev. James R. Chalk, also leaves two daughters, Nell Harrison of Nashville and Diane Weaver of Crump; a sister, Marie Long of Washington, Ill.; three brothers, Roy Grisham of Memphis, Bob Grisham of Milledgeville and Jimmy Guy Grisham of Morris Chapel, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Moscow -- Cassandra Fleming, 17, died Saturday in Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Golden Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Rossville, where she was a member, with burial in Mount Vernon cemetery there. H.C. She leaves her mother, Sandra Fleming, and three sisters, Ericka Fleming, Calizza Fleming and Chandora Fleming, all of Moscow; her grandparents, Jerry Fleming of Collierville, Martha Cannon of Rossville and Dora M. Patterson of Memphis, and her great-grandparents, Anna Spencer of Rossville and Woodrow Spencer of Memphis.
