Covington -- Frances Gray Baird, 88, retired teacher for Brighton High School after 30 years, died April 22 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brighton ARP Church, where she was a member, with burial in Salem cemetery in Atoka. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Baird, the widow of Rudolph Baird, leaves a daughter, Lynn Baird Griffin of Houston; a brother, Gordon Gray of Covington, two grandsons and two great-granddaughters. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Brighton ARP Church.

Drummonds -- Rosie Epperson Bailey, 68, retired from Albertson's Grocery in Memphis, died Thursday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with burial in Quito Memorial cemetery. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Bailey, the wife of Walter Bailey, also leaves a daughter, Lanette Bailey Trew of Burlison; four sons, Jimmy Floyd of Newbern, Tim Floyd of Dyersburg, Gary Bailey of Mesquite, Texas, and Gordon Floyd of Proctor, Ark.; three sisters, Marie Matcalf of Drummonds, Hazel Williams of Helena, Ark., and Kathy Baucom of Newbern; three brothers, Junior Epperson and James Epperson, both of Dyersburg, and Ronnie Epperson of Newbern, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dyersburg -- Lorraine F. Muriel Cobb, 81, retired operator for BellSouth, died Wednesday at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with burial in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Newbern First United Methodist Church, the Dorcas Club and BellSouth Pioneers Club. Mrs. Cobb, the wife of Harry J. Cobb, also leaves three sons, Skipper Cobb and James T. Cobb, both of Dyersburg, and Lexie Cobb of Batesville, Miss.; a sister, Illeana Fitzpatrick of Dyersburg, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watson, the widow of Arnold Watson, leaves seven daughters, Evelyn White and Sheila Campbell, both of Counce, Mary Claywell of Crest Hill, Ill., Annie Sue George of Matteson, Ill., Beverly West of Lockport, Ill., and Josephine King and Rebecca Watson, both of Ripley; a sister, Annie Mae Hendren of Ripley, 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
