Family Mortuary has charge. Mrs. Parker, the widow of Joseph H. Parker Jr., leaves three daughters, Marva Piggie, Rhonda Peppers and Carmen Ayyad, all of Memphis; three sons, Joseph H. Parker III and Darnell Parker, both of Memphis, and Jimmy Hughes of Detroit; a sister, Sadie Roberson of Memphis; a brother, Joseph Dee of San Diego, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Hiram Elsworth Soule Jr., 93, of Memphis, retired police inspector for the Memphis Police Department after 29 years and former chief of security for Mayor Henry Loeb during the 1960s, died Friday at his home.
