Wendell 'Jack' Turner, 75, of Memphis, retired driver for Advance Truck Line, died Friday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Robinhood Lane Baptist Church with burial in National cemetery. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Turner, the husband of Jacqueline Turner, also leaves four daughters, Anita Green of Kennewick, Wash., Barbara Green of Richland, Wash., Yvette Williams of Atlanta and LaDawn Bowers of Memphis; a son, Kenneth Turner, and two sisters, Hattie Alexander and Earline Terry, all of Memphis, 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Walker, 52, of Memphis, customer service agent for FedEx, died April 27 at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Mount Sinai Baptist Church with burial in New Park cemetery. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. She was a member of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries. She leaves a son, Shawn Wright; her mother, Inell Johnson; two sisters, Eva Buckley and Donna Tuggle; three brothers, Robert Johnson, Clarence Johnson Jr. and Terry Johnson, and her grandmother, Hattie Lewis, all of Memphis.

Rubbie 'Red' 'Boss' Walker, 70, of Memphis, self-employed mechanic and owner of Rubbie's Auto Repair, died Monday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church on McLemore with burial in Union cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He leaves two daughters, Dorries Jamerson and Celestine Harris; a son, Anthony Grove, and a sister, Lottie Walker-Gordan, all of Memphis, and five grandchildren.

Gladys M. Watson, 81, of Memphis, died Sunday at her home. Services will be at noon Saturday at M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Union cemetery. She leaves two daughters, Mary Watson of Memphis and Clarencetta Woodard of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three sons, Robert Fleming, James Watson and George William Watson, all of Memphis; a sister, Virginia Edmonds of Flint, Mich.; a brother, James Fleming of Memphis, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert L. Williams III, 58, of Memphis, pharmacy technician, died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel has charge. Mr. Williams, the widower of Dianne Westmoreland Williams, leaves his mother, Virginia D. Williams, and a sister, Lynn W. Wolfe, both of Cordova, and a brother, James D. Williams of Memphis. Covington -- Donnie Steve McClain, 55, former instructor for Swift Trucking Co., died Monday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Covington Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Gardens. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He leaves three sons, Joseph Lee McClain of San Diego, and Jason Dewayne McClain and Mathew Lee McClain, both of Edmond, Okla., and three brothers, Bobby McClain, Billy Joe McClain and William McClain, all of Brighton.

He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Reaves Methodist Church. Mr. Cox, the husband of Barbara Faye Barnes Cox for 49 years, also leaves a daughter, Aloma Nowell of Eads; a son, Alvin Cox, and two sisters, Arbie Lou Carter and Delores Ann Baker, all of Middleton, five grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Reaves United Methodist Church or Reaves cemetery Fund.
