Demetrius 'Mechie' King, 37, of Memphis, cook for On The Border, died April 29 at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Memphis First Baptist Church with burial in Paradise Gardens in Edmondson, Ark. Anthony Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. He leaves two sisters, Shelia King and April King, both of Memphis.

Matilda J. Klipsch, 91, of Houston, formerly of Memphis, homemaker, died April 15 in Houston. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Hill cemetery Midtown. Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown has charge. She was a member of Whitehaven Presbyterian Church, Spanish American War Association and the American Legion. Mrs. Klipsch was the widow of Charles Klipsch. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Heart Association.

Larry Lay, 54, of Memphis, landscaper and self-employed contractor, died Monday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Services will be at noon Saturday at Vision Temple Church with burial in Galilee Memorial Gardens. Christian Funeral Directors has charge. He leaves two daughters, Lanita Holloway and Yolanda Lay; three sons, Ditarius Lay, Eric Lay and Cornelius Lay, and four sisters, Jo Florence Smith, Gloria Strong, Mary Louise Lay and Linda Lay, all of Memphis; six brothers, Glenn Lay, James Lay, Baron Lay and Eddie Lay, all of Memphis, Johnie Robinson of Nashville and Leroy Lay of Milwaukee; a companion with whom he lived, Ruby Dell Holloway, and nine grandchildren.

Robert 'Head Lee' Lee, 58, of Memphis, painter, died Wednesday at Methodist North Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with burial in Galilee Memorial Gardens. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was a Baptist and a graduate of Douglass High School. Mr. Lee, the husband of Katie Mae Lee, also leaves a son, Robert Tyrone Lee, and three sisters, Barbara Lee, Gloria Payne and Lucille Williams, all of Memphis; five brothers, Walter Lee, Frank Lee, Jessie Lee and Charles Lee, all of Memphis, and James E. Lee Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and four grandchildren.

Marion A. Loughridge, 84, of Memphis, retired mechanic for Counce Marine, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Loughridge, the husband of Margaret Loughridge, also leaves a daughter, Nancy Donaldson of Yuma, Ariz.; three sons, Donald Loughridge and Steve Loughridge, both of Memphis, and Russell Loughridge of Bartlett, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Marcus DayShun Miller, 4-month-old son of Marcella Miller and Marcus Green of Memphis, died Wednesday at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Elmwood. E.H. Ford Mortuary Services has charge. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member and Sunday school teacher at Germantown Baptist Church. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was founder of the Rose Fields Women's Auxiliary and a member of the Inspirational Mass Choir, Radio Choir, Song Birds of the South, James Cleveland Workshop Choir and Twelve Ladies Social Club. Mrs. Stewart, the widow of Hosea Stewart, leaves a stepson, Hosea Stewart Jr. of Memphis, a daughter-in-law, Beverly Stewart, and an aunt, Mamie Pearl Anderson, both of Memphis and both of whom helped care for her, two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

He was an Army veteran, a Mason and member of Ellendale Baptist Church and International Association of Firefighters. Mr. Tatum, the husband of Katherine Scott Tatum for 45 years, also leaves a daughter, Vicky Lynn Stroud of Bartlett; a sister, Betty Ann Watson of Memphis, and a granddaughter. The family requests that any memorials be sent to West Clinic Wings Foundation or Ellendale Baptist Church Willing Hearts.
