Stanley L. 'Dirty Red' Farmer, 57, of Memphis, self employed carpenter, died May 6 at home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. M.J. Edwards Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. He leaves a daughter, Margaret Farmer; a son, Bryant L. Farmer; his mother and stepfather, Mary F. and Horace Mackey; three sisters, Sallye C. Farmer, Sherri Lewis and Frances Davis, all of Memphis; three brothers, Eddie Coker of Baltimore and Harvey Coker and Louis Haynes, all of Memphis, and four grandchildren.

Andrew James Kelsey, 60, of Southaven, truck driver, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Austin Missionary Baptist Church in Cockrum, Miss., with burial in the church cemetery. He leaves a daughter, Andrea Campbell of Chicago, and five grandchildren.

Allean B. Labon, 59, of Memphis, homemaker, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. May 21 at Second Eudora Baptist Church in Hernando with burial in the church cemetery. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel has charge. Mrs. Labon, the wife of Roy Lee Labon, also leaves a daughter, Annie Logwood of Tunica, Miss.; two sons, David Labon and Travis Greer, and four brothers, David Burt Jr., Andrew Shorter, Richard Shorter and Porter Shorter, all of Memphis, and three grandchildren.

Lottie Mae Lowery, 79, of Memphis, homemaker, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. She was a former member of Southland Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowery, the wife of Coleman 'Pete' Lowery, also leaves a daughter, Pam McCain of Southaven; two sons, Galen Lowery of Memphis and Ronald David Lowery of Highland Springs, Va.; a brother, Terry Brantley of Clinton, Miss., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Alzheimer Foundation.

John L. Maclin Jr., 50, of Memphis, airplane mechanic, died May 7 at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Norris Road Church of Christ with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Christian Funeral Directors has charge. He was a Korean War Navy veteran. He leaves three sons, John Maclin III, Jason and Joseph Maclin, all of Seattle; his mother, Lelia Smith Maclin, and a sister, Gwendolyn Maclin Shephard, both of Memphis; a brother, Stephen Hines of Denver, and an aunt who raised him and cared for him, Eula Caruthers.

Carolyn McCommon, 65, of Bartlett, retired from the University of Tennessee Dental College after 32 years, died Friday at Methodist North Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. She was a member of Schoolfield Baptist Church for 25 years. Mrs. McCommon, the wife of Elton McCommon for 42 years, also leaves two daughters, Sheila Bone of Bartlett and Marsha Bibb of Covington; a son, Jimmy Davis of Bartlett; a sister, Juanita Williams of Hernando, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to American Heart Association or Breast Cancer Association.

Mr. McConnell, the husband of Sherry McConnell, also leaves seven daughters, Valarie Branch, Kenya Johnson, Tonja Johnson, Angela Bolton, Christy Johnson, Debra Minor and Sherry Minor; a son, Daryl McConnell, and three sisters, Ella Walker, Mary Ann Thompson and Myrtle Sims, all of Memphis; six brothers, Charles McConnell, Alvin McConnell, Benard McConnell, Eric McConnell and Leo Joshua, all of Memphis, and Riley McConnell of California, 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Norman Ray Miller, 79, of Memphis, retired supervisor for Cleo Wrap, died Wednesday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Mid-South Mortuary Service has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He leaves two sons, Mike Miller and Ricky Miller; a sister, Hildred Miller of Memphis, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

College, a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church, Sunday school teacher for 50 years, secretary to Tennessee State Commander of Ex-POW's. Mrs. Pickens, the wife of Olin R. Pickens, also leaves two sons, Larry K. Pickens of Memphis and David E. Pickens of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, Jimmy Kent of New Hope, Ala., and three grandchildren. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 7th Armored Division in the European Theatre. Jelks of Brownsville, 30 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
