Bolivar -- James Larry Ray, 59, died Wednesday at Bolivar General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home with burial in New Union cemetery in Medon. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Ray, the husband of Nancy Louise Siler Ray, also leaves two daughters, Lorrie Ann Stamey of Somerville and Mindy Estella Scott of Horn Lake, Miss.; his mother, Georgia Estella Howell Smith of Bolivar; a sister, Mary Ann Kelley of Whiteville, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Covington -- Arthur Bruce Hudson, 71, retired service station attendant for Exxon, died Thursday at Cordova Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Covington Funeral Home has charge. He leaves two sisters, Carolyn S. Wicks and Mildred B. White, both of Covington; a brother, Herman M. Hudson Jr. of Spring, Texas, and a niece who helped care for him, Beverly J. Jimenez of Covington.

Dyersburg -- Jane Bradshaw Fowlkes Palmor, 76, of Guntersville, Ala., formerly of Dyersburg, former comptroller for First Citizens National Bank, died Monday in Guntersville. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Henryville Methodist Church in Guntersville and United Methodist Women. She leaves a daughter, Evelean Vivian of Grant, Ala.; three sons, Jesse Fowlkes of Grant, Gordon Fowlkes of Logansville, Ga., and Albert Fowlkes of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Barbara Stephens of Dyersburg, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church.

Henning -- George Whitelow, 91, retired farmer, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elam Baptist Church in Ripley with burial in the church cemetery. Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley has charge. He leaves two daughters, Katie Williams of Memphis and Nettie Seaberry of Henning; a son, George Whitelow Jr. of Decatur, Ill.; four sisters, Eddie Mae Tyus, Ella Mae Whitelow and Lencie Gennesy, all of Ripley, and Betrice Thomas of Covington; six brothers, Oscar Whitelow of Fort Wayne, Ind., Lloyd Whitelow of Hammond, Ind., Johnny Whitelow of Decatur, Josh Whitelow of Kentucky, and Robert Hart and James Hart, both of Dayton, Ohio, nine grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Morris Chapel -- Edra Lane White, 95, homemaker and factory worker, died Wednesday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah with burial in Liberty cemetery in Hardin County. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. Mrs. White, the widow of Homer White, leaves a daughter, Nell White Garey of Morris Chapel; three sons, Jerry Neal White and Larry White, both of Morris Chapel, and David White of Savannah, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ripley -- Andrea Louise Chaisson, 62, teacher, died Wednesday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garner Funeral Home with burial in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Chaisson, the wife of Lawrence Chaisson for 41 years, also leaves a daughter, Tracy Lynn Douglas of Ripley; a son, Stephen E. Chaisson of Nashville, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Cowan, leaves a daughter, Renee Burns; a son, Charles Crawford, and two sisters, Betty Jean Pipkin and Judy Hargett, all of Ripley; three brothers, Lynnwood Shoemake and David Shoemake, both of Ripley, and Billy Shoemake of Nesbit, Miss., and six grandchildren.
