Bolivar -- Rev. Earl Willis Presley, 80, minister of Forrest Hill Pentecostal Church, died Friday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forrest Hill Pentecostal Church with burial in Lake Hill Memory Gardens in Bethel Springs. Shackelford Funeral Home has charge. Rev. Presley, the husband of Arah Chambers Presley, also leaves a daughter, Martha Mitchell of Grenada, Miss.; a son, Danny Presley of Huntsville, Ala., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Guys -- Mildred Olene Kiddy, 81, homemaker, died Friday at McNairy County Health Care Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with burial in Lorraine cemetery in Michie. She was a member of Lorraine Baptist Church. Mrs. Kiddy, the widow of Albert Kiddy, leaves a daughter, Carolyn Rowsey of Selmer; five sons, Marc Kiddy of Selmer, Donnie Kiddy of Guys, David Kiddy of Ramer, and John Kiddy and Ron Kiddy, both of Memphis; a brother, Gene Curtis of Ramer, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Lorraine Baptist Church.

Newbern -- Ernest Talmadge Hopkins, 75, retired from Trunkline Gas, died Friday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home with burial in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Hopkins, the husband of Ollie Turner Hopkins, also leaves four brothers, Elton Hopkins of Bonicord, Glynn Hopkins of Denver, Lyndell Hopkins of Corinth, Miss., and Tom Hopkins of Obion, and two stepsisters, Anna Belle Williams of Memphis and Glenda Browder of Millington.

Somerville -- Christopher Mark Orr, 22, wrecker operator for Thompson's Wrecking Service in Memphis, died Wednesday at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Chapel in Christopher, Ill., with burial in Mulkeytown (Ill.) cemetery. Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home has charge. He was a Baptist and attended Kingsbury High School in Memphis. He leaves his mother and stepfather, Lesa Ann Miller and Ralph Thompson of Memphis; his father, Tim R. Polly Ursa Bishop, 93, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at Methodist South Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector, Ark., with burial in Mitchell cemetery in Greenway, Ark. She was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Southaven. Mrs. Bishop, the widow of Jack M. Bishop, leaves a daughter, Bobbie J. Duke of Hernando; a son, Jack D. Bishop of Southaven; a sister, Reba Burson of Strong, Ark., six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Al H. Gabel, 74, of Memphis, retired manager for J.C. Penney after 43 years, died May 20 at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett. Services were May 23 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. He was a Korean War Army veteran, and member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and American Legion. Mr. Gabel, the widower of Laurel Gabel, leaves four daughters, Cheryl Linski of Bartlett, Carla Raney of Libertyville, Ill., Cindy Gabel of Memphis and Caryn Lerma of Cordova; a son, Douglas Gabel of East Amherst, N.Y.; a brother, Dale Gabel of Sioux Falls, S.D., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to American Cancer Society.
