Conan Doyle Edwards, 92, of Memphis, retired Pharmaceutical Buyer for McKesson, Inc., died June 25 at Primacy Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Central North Church, former member of Berclair Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for 40 years. He was a 58 year member of Grand Lodge of Tennessee. He was a World War II Veteran serving four years in Belgium, France, and Germany in the United States Army. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Corella Carr Edwards, a daughter, Mary Bradley of Memphis, a son Doyle Edwards of Germantown, a step sister Dorothy Williams of Houston, and 4 grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, June 28 at 10 a.m. in Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or charity of the Donor's choice.

Preston Faulkner, 76 of Memphis, retired sprinkler fitter, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. Visitation time will be Tuesday, June 28 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 at Forest Hill Church of Christ with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Mr. Faulkner was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served the Korean War. He was a member of Forest Hill Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon for almost 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, June, and his children Benita and husband Rick Taylor of Cordova, Philip and wife Debbie Faulkner of Collierville, and Tommy and wife Susanne Faulkner of Cordova. He also leaves five grandchildren Brittany and Jarod Taylor, Carolyn, Christopher, and Patrick Faulkner. He was an older brother to four cousins, Jim and Jerry Tuttle, Dee Kepler, and James Faulkner all of Mississippi. He is survived by an aunt, Helen Faulkner of Batesville, Mississippi and a host of cousins. The family requests that any memorials may be made to the Memphis School of Preaching.

Walter Norris "Sonny" Foster, 82 of Germantown, Tennessee died on June 24, 2005. He leaves his wife of fifty years Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Murray Foster of Germantown. He also leaves his children Walter Foster, Jr., Mary Beth Berry, Andrew Foster, Murray Foster, and Sally Barron. He leaves behind ten grandchildren. Mr. Foster was a Veteran of WWII. He was a co-founder of the GCHS and the Nashoba Carriage Association. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, June 26 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 27 at Germantown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Germantown United Methodist Church, the West Cancer Clinic, or a charity of the Donor's choice.

Edward G. Grogan, 89 of Memphis, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. A lifelong Memphian born December 2, 1915, he was a graduate of Humes High School and received his law degree from Southern Law University in 1949. A former assistant district attorney, Mr. Grogan was retired from the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, and Berkowitz. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a First Lt. in the Army Air Corps. He also served in Korea with the U.S. Air Force as a captain. He was a member of Mullins United Methodist Church. Mr. Grogan was preceded in death by his wife Virginia B. Grogan.
He leaves a daughter, Gail Poindexter, a son, Michael Grogan, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30 in Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Mullins United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.

John D. Jeter, 68 of Memphis Tn. died Friday June 24, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jeter is a retired truck driver for Carquest, he was a Baptist, member of the A-Model Car Club, member of Big "M" Pig Possey Barbque Team. His visitation will be at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Monday June 27, 2005 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with services to be at Forest Hill East Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday June 28, 2005. Mr. Jeter leaves behind a wife of 12 and a half years Brenda K. Jeter and a daughter Hope Gault of Memphis, three grandchildren all of Memphis David Griffin, Justin Griffin, and Joy Gault.

JOHN W. MCMAHON, JR., 85, of Memphis, passed away after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held Monday, at Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with internment Tuesday at 10 a.m. He was retired from Turner Dairy, working for 50 years with Forest Hill Dairy, Deans and Turner. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific, with the Mississippi National Guard. He was born in Sledge, MS. He leaves: 2 daughters, Kathy M. Foreman of Memphis and Barbara M. Beloate of Collierville; 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by is wife of 56 years, Ethel Newton McMahon. John was a member of First Baptist Church for 58 years. He was a Mason and a great sports fan. He will always be remembered for his unselfish, gentle manner and his smile.

ELIZABETH (LIB) LANEY WAGNER, 82, of Germantown, TN, passed away on June 25, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of Mullins United Methodist church since 1953, also belonged to Mullins United Methodist Women's Club, Mullins United Methodist Crusader Class, The Heritage Women's Club of Germantown, and Princeton Park Garden Club. She was born in Tupelo, MS and has lived in the Germantown and Memphis area since 1952. She was an engineer's assistant at TVA in Knoxville, TN where she met her husband, John O. Wagner. Once married she retired to raise her family. She leaves her husband John O. Wagner, two sons, John Christian Wagner and wife Barbra McCullough and William L. Wagner and wife Bonnie Jean Wagner and one daughter Susan Wagner Carter and husband Randall Wayne Carter, Jr. She also leaves three grandchildren, Mary Louise Wagner, John (Jack) Christian Wagner II, Andrew McCullough Wagner. Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Monday night with funeral services Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN . Interment icon will follow at Memorial Park cemetery. JOYCE ANN MCREE WATKINS, 56, of Memphis, TN, homemaker, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Mrs. Watkins is an alumnus of Melrose High School.

Duckett, both of Memphis; 4 brothers, James McRee and Willie McRee, both of Memphis and Timothy McRee of Florida and Franklin McRee of California; a stepbrother, Keith Duckett of Memphis; and 8 grandchildren.

Ashley Renee Burke, 18, of Memphis, passed away Monday, June 27, 2005. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel. She was the beloved daughter of Phil and Lisa Burke and loving sister of Phillip Keith Burke II. She was a 2005 graduate of Ridgeway High School, a member of the National Honors Society, Who's Who among National High School Scholars and a member of SADD (Students Against Drunk Drivers). She ferociously soaked up life, enjoying Art, Music, Poetry, Photography, Dance but most of all the companionship of her family and her friends. She is also survived by her grandparents Sally Ball of Broken Arrow, OK, Tom and Linda Burke of Linden, TN, and Bill and Phyllis Coyle of Atlanta, MI, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins through out the country. Mr. Christley retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer, after 20 years of service. He is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He also retired from UNISYS Corporation after 20 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Independent Presbyterian Church, 4738 Walnut Grove Rd., with interment icon to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home- Poplar Chapel. Mr. Christley will also lie in state at the church, beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Claire Christley. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Elizabeth Vaughn of Memphis, and Diana Claire Neel of Jackson, TN; his son, Larry C. Christley of Murfreesboro, TN; his mother, Vera Mae Christley of Memphis; his sister, Bettye Louise Wheaton of Memphis; his brother, Paul G. Christley of Richardson, TX; and six grandchildren which he adored, Megan, Alex, and Jaime Christley, Abigail and Zachary Neel, and Christley Vaughn. The family requests memorial contributions in his honor be made to either the American Heart Association or any fund benefiting the children of our Fallen Soldiers.
