GUY OWEN KING, 81, of Germantown, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. He served in the Air Force for 30 years, retiring in 1972. During this time he served in World War II and the Korean War, where he was a POW, a liason officer during the Vietnam Conflict and upon retirement he was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis with a masters in Mathematics from Columbia University in New York. He is survived by his wife, Nell F. King, to whom he was married
