CALLIS, MYRA MAE BURNS, age 63, of Morristown and a native of Humboldt, Tenn., went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2000.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FERGUSON, MR. KENNETH, age 73, of Tazewell, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville on Tuesday, April 11, 2000.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m., Thursday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Irish cemetery.
Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell is in charge of arrangements.

GILBERT, MR. MARK, age 31, son of James and Hazel Gilbert of Speedwell, passed away Tuesday morning as the result of an automobile accident.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Pump Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Riverview cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate, is in charge of arrangements.

MORGAN, MYRA GERTRUDE (HIXON), age 84, of Route 5, Rutledge, passed away April 11, 2000 at 12:30 p.m. at home after an extended illness.
She was a member of New Blackwell Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Morgan, and daughter, Eva Singleton.
Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Dorothy Morgan; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Doug Phillips and Mary and Horace Jones, all of Rutledge; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nola Morgan of Rutledge and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 .m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Horace Jones and Tom Owen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Avondale cemetery. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.

NORRIS, JOSEPH WALL, age 67, of Talbott, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
Mr. Norris was a graduate of North Carolina State University.
He was retired from Mahle Inc.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
A licensed pilot with a passionate love of flying.
He also taught ground school at Morristown Airport.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Sara Wall Norris.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bickel Norris; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Fran Norris of Talbott; daughter, Linda Norris of Knoxville; grandson, Cade Norris; brother, Bill Norris of Charlotte, N.C. and sister, Carolyn Lottes of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, 8:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel with Dr. Richard Emmert officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1606, Morristown 37816.

WALLACE, MAE 'MIMMIE,' age 88, of Arthur, was born Feb. 5, 1912 and passed away April 10, 2000 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
She attended Arthur Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Wallace; parents, William and Vennie (Owens) Brogan; brothers, Clayton, Kyle and Clyde Brogan; sisters, Nell Elyand Laura Hamlet.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Kenneth Walters of Morristown, Janet and Lynn Treece of Cumberland Gap; sisters, Mrs. Maggie Smith and Mrs. Gerry England, both of Ohio; brother, Arch Brogan of Morristown; grandchildren and spouses, Sherry Walters Flori and Albert of North Attleboro, Mass, Tammy Treece Helling and Curt of Gainesville, Ga., Tracy Treece McAnnally and Randy of Ewing, Va., Teresa Treece Creech and Wayne of Cumberland Gap, Tenn, Lynn Treece Jr. and Penny of New Tazewell, Trixie Treece Hale and Brian of Middlesboro, Ky., Wesley Treece and Monica of Tazewell, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Savannah Flori, Dustin, Cody and Randi Lynn McAnally, Taylor and Brooklyn Creech, Trey, Meghan and Caitlynn Treece, Brian, Brandon and Brennan Hale, Mackenzie Treece and Eric Helling; sister-in-law, Mrs. Gertrude Killebrew of Arthur; special friend, Devada Wolfenbarger; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2000 at Coffey Chapel-Tazewell with interment icon in Harrogate cemetery with Potter Pearman officiating.
Music will be provided by Linda Smiddy, harpist.
Pallbearers will be Curt Helling, grandson, Wesley Treece, grandson, Lynn Treece, Wayne Creech, Randy McAnally and Brian Hale.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

WHITNEY, CHARLES BRUCE, age 57, of Talbott, passed away suddenly 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2000 as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.

WOODS, JACK C., age 73, of 3552 White Birch Road, White Pine, passed away Wednesday morning, April 12, 2000, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System after a long illness.
Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bee Lane Woods and a son, Jeffrey.
He was the son of the late David Blair and Phronia Berry Woods, and also preceded by a brother, Blair Woods and sister, Alice Crittenden.
Retired employee of Daniels Construction Co. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Member of First Baptist Church of White Pine.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Grady Lamb of Morristown, Janice Trent of White Pine; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Lori Woods of White Pine, Dennis and Cathy Woods and Mike and Debbie Woods, all of Mohawk, Larry and Ray Woods, both of White Pine; 17 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, John and Janice Woods of White Pine; Aunt Alma Ingles of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Herbert Crittenden of Morristown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday from Farrar's White Pine Chapel with Rev. Byron Chambers and Rev. Mike Hensley officiating.
Interment in Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

DAVIS, SIDNEY W. (SLIM), age 69, of Morristown, passed away Monday, May 1, 2000 at Lakeway Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Chapel.
Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Hamblen Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

GIBSON, EDGAR (ED), age 84, of Morristown, formerly of Lynch, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, April 30, 2000, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Frances Moody Gibson, and brother Floyd Gibson.
He was a World War II veteran in the US Army Air Corps and retired from U.S. Steel after 26 years of service.
He was a member of UMWA Local #7425 and a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Shipley Gibson, and son Joe Gibson, both of Morristown; brother and sister-in-law Cecil and Lela Gibson of Louisville, Ky.; sister Dorothy Lockard of Harrodsburg, Ky. and Genevieve Gatewood of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Brandy Lynn Gibson of Rutledge and Corporal Joe M. Gibson, USMC, and wife, April of Jacksonville, N.C.; great-grandchildren Zachary Logan Gibson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Chester Day, Irene Gibson, Geneva and Kyle Hall, and Opal Shipley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel, with Revs. Doug Smith and Richie Hayes officiating.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. prior to the service.
Entombment will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church, 101 First N. St., or the Friends of Hospice, 1633 W. Morris Blvd.

HARRIS, JOANN, age 65, died Monday, May 1, 2000 at Morristown-Hamblen Health-care System.
She was a faithful member of Noeton Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Rev. Jake H. Harris; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Ricker and her sister, Henrietta Easley.
Survivors include: her sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Dwayne Kinsler, Lorraine and Luther Perkins of Lakeland, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. and Emily McDonald and Eddie and Linda Ricker.
She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Stetzer's Morristown Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Sexton, Terry Crews and S.D. Rhodes officiating; interment icon in Hamblen Memory Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Stetzer Funeral Home in Morristown.

KUYKENDALL, DEBBIE SUE (GRANNY), age 84, of Rutledge, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Robert, and two daughters, Rose Mary Brewer and Linda Jean Kuykendall.
Survivors are daughter Virginia Edmonds of Rutledge; sons, Robert, Jimmy and Donnie of Rutledge and Kyle of Morristown.
She had 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Indian Ridge Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Lee and Glenn Bruner officiating.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, at Smith Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state, Tuesday, 30 minutes prior to the service.
Interment in Indian Ridge Church cemetery.

NICHOLS, GRACE HAWKINS, age 74, of Morristown, formerly of Baileyton, passed away Monday evening, May 1, 2000 at Morristown-Hamblen Health care System.
She was a retired cashier at Safeway Food Stores.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Madge Herron Hawkins.
She is survived by: her husband, Rufus Mack Nichols of Morristown; brothers, Charles Hawkins and wife, Peggy, of Baileyton and George Hawkins and wife, Marie, of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive; special friend, Betty Cutshall of Morristown.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2000 at Zion United Methodist Church in Baileyton with Rev. Paul Miracle officiating.
Interment will be in Zion cemetery in Baileyton.
Pallbearers will be Parrish Nichols Jr., Stan Hawkins, Mike Hawkins, Calvin Hawkins, John Nichols and Michael Nichols.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Mayes Mortuary in Morristown and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Kiser Funeral Home in Greeneville.
The family also will receive friends at other times at the home of Charles and Peggy Hawkins, 1690 Baileyton Main Street, Baileyton, TN.
The body will be taken to the church at 10:00 a.m. Friday where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. preceding the funeral service.
Kiser Funeral Home in Greeneville is in charge of arrangements.
