Mildred Hamilton
14 October 1918 - 7 April 2010

There will be a private graveside service for Mildred Hamilton of Fayetteville with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Miss Hamilton passed away Wednesday night in Lincoln Care Center.

She was the daughter of the late Jake and Kate Loyd Hamilton and is survived by several cousins.

Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.

Sarah Ann (Sturkie) Jones
Died 25 May 2010

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ann Sturkie Jones, age 58, of Leesville, SC will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday at Gum Springs cemetery. Mrs. Jones passed away Tuesday.

A daughter of the late Harold and Clara Belle Sharp Sturkie, she was a native of Lexington County, SC and a member of the Holiness/Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her son John Kleshinski and wife Chirlena, grandchildren John Allen Kleshinski, Kevin Ray Kleshinski, and Travis Ray Newgent all of Fayetteville, brother and sisters Carolyn Hunter of SC, Mary Crosby of SC, Barbara Lucas of SC, Eva Wise of NC, Diane Higgs of NC, Mamie Cope of SC, Robert Sturkie of SC, and Brenda Sharp of SC, and step-brothers Mike and Harold Sturkie both of SC.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home prior to services.

Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn (Foster) Locker
1 May 1923 - 30 May 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn (Foster) Locker, age 87, of Flintville, will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lauria and Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart’s cemetery beside her husband Leon Locker who passed away in 1949. Mrs. Locker passed away Sunday morning at Donalson Skill Care.

A daughter of the late George and Alma Green Foster, she was a native of Marshall County, AL, a retired seamstress for Jonathon Logan, and a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Locker leaves behind three daughters Judy Mann and husband Charles, Cheryl Womack and husband Billy all of Flintville, and Jeanne Pearson and husband Ronald, son Tommy Locker and wife Leslie, all of Fayetteville, eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and sisters Annette Harrison of Flintville and Vivian Upton of Albertville, AL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Allen Foster.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.

Jeffrey Wade Lemons
Died June 3, 2010

It is with regret we announce the death of Mr. Jeffrey Wade Lemons, age 39, of Fayetteville who passed away Thursday at his residence. He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late James Thomas Lemons and Flora Lemons Powell who survives. Mr. Lemons was an accomplished carpenter who was capable of doing anything he set his mind to. Survivors include his mother Flora Lemons Powell and husband Steve, sisters Lori Anne James and Vickie Ann Lemons, sister-in-law Lilia Siaron Lemons, brother Gregory Alan Lemons, two children Logan and Spencer Lemons, maternal grandmother Mary J Bryson and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday June 12th at 5PM at The Father's House, 1992 Pulaski Highway, Fayetteville. There will be no formal services at the funeral home.

Jane (Douglas) Moore
24 October 1927 - 26 June 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane (Douglas) Moore, age 82, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 3 PM Monday at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso cemetery. Mrs. Moore passed away Saturday evening at Lincoln Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Byrd and Sarah Moyers Douglas, she was a native of Lincoln County, formerly employed as a teacher and a secretary, and a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sister-in-law Ruth Douglas of Fayetteville, nieces Jennifer Trott of Shelbyville and Ann Morgan of New Market, nephew Glen T. Douglas of Fayetteville, and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen R. Moore, sisters Sarah Byrd Posey and Margaret D. Lee, and brother Richard Douglas.

Visitation with the family will be from 2-3 PM Monday afternoon at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

Karleyanna Shere' Patrick
22 August 2007 - 1 May 2008

Graveside services for infant Karleyanna Shere' Patrick, age 9 months, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 3 PM Monday at Lincoln cemetery with Bro. James Barnes officiating. Karleyanna passed away Thursday morning at her residence.

A daughter of Abraham Daza Cruz and Amanda Patrick, Karleyanna was a native of Lincoln County.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, are grandmother Linda Taylor, step-grandfather Larry Dean Taylor, grandmother Adela Cruz Palma, grandfather Abraham Daza Osorio, sisters Savannah and Brianna Patrick, brother Nahum Abraham Daza, aunt Carrie Ann Swindle and her fiancé Jose Luis Apale, uncle Michael Dwight Patrick and his fiancé Liz Major, cousins Bobby Wayne Patrick and Kelsey Jane Hentz and several others, great-grandparents Linda and Chester Martin and Janie and Pete Patrick, and great-uncle Billy Wayne Patrick, great-uncle Danny Patrick and wife Tina. She was preceded in death by grandfather Bobby G. Patrick.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home before services.

Jennie Moorehead Keith
17 August 1918 - 23 July 2008

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Moorehead Keith, age 89, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso cemetery beside her husband Stanley Rhodes Keith who died in 1980. Mrs. Keith died Wednesday in Lincoln Care Center.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Elizabeth Sanders Moorehead. Mrs. Keith retired with 26 years of service to Serbin Fashions and attended the Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter Peggy Sanders of Fayetteville, two sons, Tommy and Bobby Keith both of Fayetteville, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Kate (Corbin) Wiseman
21 July 1913 - 6 October 2008

Funeral services for Mrs. Kate (Corbin) Wiseman, age 95, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11AM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Winfred Stayton officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon cemetery beside her husband Perry Woodrow Wiseman. Mrs. Wiseman died Monday evening at her residence.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Jude and Ethel Ayers Corbin Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gum Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Trula Bennett and Katie Womack both of Fayetteville, one son Willie Wiseman of Fayetteville, sister Ruth Barnes of Fayetteville, brother Jude Corbin Jr. of Arcadia, FL, eleven grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mrs. Wiseman was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Robert Austin Beck
20 March 1936 -

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Austin Beck, age 72, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11 AM Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Beck passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence.

A son of the late Burdette and Jennie Koch Beck, he was a native of Belle Plaine, Iowa. He was one of the original team members from the Amana, Iowa facility to come to Fayetteville and establish Amana-Fayetteville. He retired from Amana after 30 years of service as a Quality Control Manager. He then founded Beck Enterprises to provide ISO-9000 consulting services to industry. Mr. Beck was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife Mary Boswell Beck of Fayetteville, daughter Julia Ann Fowler and husband William of McDonough, GA, sons Scott Beck and wife Susan of Fayetteville, David Beck and wife Alesia of Gurley, AL, step-sons Michael Osgood and wife Jane, Gary Osgood, and Ronald Osgood and wife Tascha all of Fayetteville, 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, sisters Lillian Winslow and husband Louis of Belle Plaine, IO and Virginia Clardhan of Bloomington, IL, and brothers Donald Beck and wife Ruth of Hedrick, IO and James Beck and wife Jackie of Iowa City, IO. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Fosse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Regional Hospital Home Health and Hospice.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.

Bettye Sue (Jeans) Ramagasse
1 April 1930 - 19 October 2008

Funeral services for Mrs. Bettye Sue Ramagasse, age 78, of Columbus, Ohio, will be conducted Saturday October 25 at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg cemetery. Mrs. Ramagasse passed away Sunday morning, October 19, 2008, at her residence in Ohio.

A daughter of the late Oscar and Rachel Jeans, she was a native Florida, and was formerly employed as an office manager in an insurance office.

Survivors include her husband Raymond Remagasse of Columbus, Ohio, adopted sons John Thomas of Shelbyville and Jim Spires and wife Delina of Grove City, Ohio, nephew Dean Thomas, brother-in-law Claude Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann Thomas.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Friday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.

John Allen Tackett
6 February 1928 - 10 December 2008

Funeral services for Mr. John Allen Tackett, age 80, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11am Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hudgins, Bro. John Miller, Bro. Dalton Hall and Bro. Paul Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh cemetery. Mr. Tackett passed away Wednesday morning December 10th at his residence.

He was a native of Itawamba County, MS and the son of the late Howard Allen and Euncie Reser Farris Tackett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired real estate broker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Hall Tackett of Fayetteville, daughter Candy Carol Tackett Ames and husband Richard Ames of Mt. Juliet, TN, son John Allen Tackett, Jr and daughter-in-law Pamela Tackett of Hendersonville, TN, granddaughter Katherine Ann Tackett of Mt. Juliet, Grandson John Allen Tackett III of Murfreesboro, two sisters Sybil Tackett Ross of Okolona, MS, Linda Tackett Sales of Chattanooga, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
