Hollis Walker
Funeral services for Mr. Hollis Walker, 69, of Crossville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2001, from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Bradley Hatfield and Grover Atkins officiating. Burial was in Rinnie cemetery with Crossville Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Walker died January 1, 2001, in Cumberland County. He was a carpet installer.

Born September 15, 1931, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Ike and Nora Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lowe Walker; and two brothers, Claude Walker and Thurston Walker.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Wayne Walker and Richard Lynn Walker, both of Crossville; two sisters, Lena Walker, Nashville, and Thelma Jean Carter, Battle Creek, MI; two brothers, Haskel Walker, Grimsley, and James Walker, Rinnie; four granddaughters, Memory Tabor, Rebecca Cox, Amanda Walker, and Samantha Walker, all of Crossville; and two great grandchildren, Nicholas Tabor and Brooklyn Cox, both of Crossville.

Pallbearers were Roger Keyes, Ray Bowman, Bill Agee, Ronnie Brent, JB Creason, JD Rector, Butch Stapleton, and Jo Lowe.

Henry Alex Storie
Funeral services for Mr. Henry Alex Storie, 85, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2001, from Moodyville Union Baptist Church with Bro. Howard Moon and Bro. Johnny Davis officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Era cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Storie died Thursday, January 4, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He worked several years as a sawmill employee and was a member of Moodyville Union Baptist Church.

Born June 25, 1915, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late John Alford and Mary Etter (Huddleston) Storie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, John Oliver Storie, James Eugene Storie, and Samuel Ellis Storie; three brothers, John Storie, Warren Storie, and Jim Storie; and an infant brother and sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Janalee Logan, Byrdstown, and Ann Turner, Anderson, IN; a son, J.C. Storie, Manchester, MI; two sisters, Lois Wright, Clarkrange, and Mary Howerton, Anderson, IN; two brothers, Ward Storie, Jamestown, and Charlie Storie, Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tim Storie, Gary Storie, Mark Inman, David Abbott, Ricky Abbott, and Michael Abbott.

Rolan Cross Robbins
Funeral services for Mr. Rolan Cross Robbins, 74, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2001, from Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Harris officiating. Burial was in the Fellowship cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Robbins died Tuesday, January 2, 2001, in Texas, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was a retired auto mechanic and a member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Born September 26, 1926, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Elihu and Elva (Bowers) Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Glen Robbins.

Survivors include his wife, Bennie Ruth Robbins, Livingston; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rusty and Jill Robbins, Livingston, and Jimmy Robbins, Phoenix, AZ; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Anita Robbins, Cookeville, and Billy and June Robbins, Livingston; six grandchildren, Russ Robbins, Ramona Robbins, and Kendall Robbins, all of Livingston, Jennifer Robbins Hutson, Amy Robbins, and Jamie Robbins, all of Phoenix, AZ; and three great grandchildren, Alisa Stewart, Mikayla Hutson, and Isaac Muniz, all of Phoenix, AZ.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Taylor, Billy Maynord, Bulos Martin, Delton Langford, Russ Robbins, Bill Reeder, Daniel Hutson, and Derward Vaughn.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Bro. Paul Stringer, Bobby Reeder, Bobby Lawson, Millard V. Oakley, Robert Langford, the deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church, Larry Ferrell Jr., and Jeremy Muniz.

Anna Mae Leach
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mae Leach, 88, of Mayland, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. David E. Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Mayland cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Leach died Sunday, January 7, 2001, at Standing Stone Health Care Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Mayland Missionary Baptist Church, Mayland Senior Citizens, and Mayland Home Demonstration Club.

Born August 3, 1912, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late James L. "Jim" Sr. and Flossie (Hatfield) Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Leach; four sisters, Pauline Garrett, Mary Garrett, Geneva Garrett, and Alice Wilson; and four brothers, Robert Garrett, Willie Garrett, Peter Garrett, and Pete Garrett.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Vella M. and Rev. David E. Phillips, Monterey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clay E. and Judy Stover and Ralph B. and Kathryn Leach, all of Mayland; a sister, Amy Brissler, Mayland; three brothers, Paul Garrett, Norwalk, CA, Glen Garrett, Dayton, OH, and James L. "Dan" Garrett Jr., Mayland; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Eula Pearl Hunter
Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Pearl Hunter, 90, of Algood, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham and Bro. Tom Greenwood officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Hunter died January 4, 2001, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood.

She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ. Born July 7, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen L. and Laura (Thompson) Hunter.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth R. Hunter, Algood, and James B. Hunter, Livingston; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Randall E. Debree
Funeral services for Mr. Randall E. Dubree, 67, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Winningham and Bro. Jack Irwin officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Dubree died Sunday, January 7, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was a retired grocery store owner, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Livingston First Baptist Church, Livingston Lodge #259, and Livingston Jaycees.

Born June 19, 1933, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Hollis M. and Rosie (Fletcher) Dubree.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine (Melton) Dubree, Monroe; a sister and brother-in-law, Peanut and Donald Gray, Livingston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Estelene and James Cobble, Winnie and Wayne Brown, W.B. and Peggy Melton, all of Allons, and Terry and Robbie Melton, Livingston; a nephew, Tim Gray, Livingston; and two great nephews, Jared Gray and Jacob Gray, both of Livingston.

Pallbearers were Jim Sells, Riley Johnson, Johnny Rose, Kenny Webb, Mike Maynord, and Rick Maynord.

Mary E. Coward
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Coward, of Nashville, and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2001, from the Hickory Chapel of Woodbine Funeral Home of Nashville with Reverend Clarence Stewart officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Woodbine Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Coward died Wednesday, January 3, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Jo Lawson and Stella Jones; her husband, Dr. Sam B. Coward Sr.; an infant son, Cecil Eugene Dugan; and three brothers, Herman Jones, Clyde Jones, and Brandon Jones.

Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Coward and a very special friend, James E. Lee Sr., Gallatin; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Betty Dugan, Livingston; and a brother, Jesse Jones Jr. of Nashville. Pallbearers were James E. Lee Sr., Jesse Jones Jr., Steven Jones, George Thomas Jones, Rex Lemons, and Roger Harris.

Dorcas Barlow
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorcas Barlow, 65, of the Sunk Cane Community, will be conducted at noon today, Wednesday, January 10, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Johnny Jones and Jerry Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Phillips cemetery in Hanging Limb with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Barlow died Monday, January 8, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker. Born July 20, 1935, in Crawford, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Flora (Edwards) Phillips.

Survivors include her husband, John Barlow, Sunk Cane Community; two sons, Jerry Barlow, Joelton, and Rocky Barlow, Sunk Cane Community; a sister, Bercy Key, Monterey; five brothers, Bruce Phillips, Middletown, IN, James Phillips, Monterey, Glenn Phillips and Ronald Phillips, both of Hanging Limb, and Grady Phillips, Sunk Cane Community; and a grandchild, Andrew Barlow.

Timothy Allen Carr
Funeral services for Mr. Timothy Allen Carr, 36, of Livingston, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Coil officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Carr, a roofer, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born October 5, 1963, in Anderson, IN, he was the son of A.B. and Anna Frances Ledbetter Carr.

He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Survivors include his father and mother, A.B. and Anna Carr, Livingston; a brother, Donnie Roger Carr, Lebanon; three sisters, Ruth Ann Carr, Allons, Shirley Boyatt, Jamestown, and Deloris Ledbetter, Alpine; three nephews; two nieces; and one great niece.

Pallbearers were Randall Penticuff, Steve Boles, Royce Ledbetter, Roger Riley, Leon Beaty, Tommy Handy, Steve Handy, and Michael Hobbs.

James "Hoss" Palk
Funeral services for Mr. James "Hoss" Palk, 71, of Cookeville, were conductedat 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2000 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. James Edens and Rev. Perry Clayton officiating. Burial was in the Algood City cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Palk, a retired employee of the City of Cookeville Street Department, died Saturday, September 30, 2000 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born May 15, 1929 in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Lee "Cooney" and Flossie Eldridge Palk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Palk.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Miller, Clarkrange; three sons, Kenneth Palk, Spencer, and Richard Palk and Mike Palk, both of Rickman; a sister, Anna Nelson, Cookeville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Lucille Jernigan Blount
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Jernigan Blount, 91, of Portsmouth, VA, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, October 4, 2000, from the chapel of Sturtevant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Sturtevant Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Blount, retired from General Electric, died Sunday, October 1, 2000.

Born May 6, 1909 in Overton County, she was the daugher of the late Luther P. and Maude Lee Jernigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nelson Blount; two sisters, Edith Andrews and Velma Burroughs; and three brothers, Luther P. Jernigan, Henry Jernigan, and Donald Jernigan.

She was a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Charles Vick, Virginia Beach, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, James J. Sr. and Joyce Blount, Chesapeake, VA; three sisters, Nola Mae Needham, Livingston, Christine Hatch, Atlanta, GA, and Ruth Clark, Southgate, VA; a brother, Floyd Jernigan, Peewee Valley, KY; six grandchildren, James J. Blount Jr., Robert N. Blount, William E. Blount, Darlene Goodwin, Pamela Nelbach, and Mark R. Vick; 13 great grandchildren, James J. Blount III, Scott Blount, Robert N. Blount Jr., Laura Blount, Neal Blount, Shawn Blount, Bethany Blount, Brandon Swan, Brian and Ashleigh Goodwin, Lauren and Amanda Nelbach, and Austin Vick; and two great-great grandchildren, Joseph Lee Blount and Robert N. Blount III.

Bonnie Jean Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Jean Bilbrey, 75, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2000, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in the Eckels cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bilbrey, a homemaker, died Sunday, October 1, 2000, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood.

Born September 27, 1925, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Lillie Mae (Beasley) Bilbrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Ruth West; and two brothers, Billy Ray Bilbrey and Billy Joe Bilbrey.

Survivors include her husband, Emmett Bilbrey, Cookeville; a foster child, Jackie Ray Anderson, Cookeville; five brothers, Willard Bilbrey, James Bilbrey, and Kenneth Bilbrey, all of Rickman, Clyde Lee Bilbrey, Indianapolis, IN, and Ronald Bilbrey, Anderson, IN; three sisters, Johnnie Hogue, Anderson, IN, Corene Cravens, Columbia, and Faye McCowan, Rickman; and two special cousins, Bill and Karel Gellar, Sparta. Pallbearers were Justin Boles, Jimmy Bilbrey, Sammie Bilbrey, Roger Clouse, Randy McCowan, Donald Ray Reed, and Kyle Spears.
