Albert Rudolphis "Towhead" Booher
Funeral services for Mr. Albert Rudolphis "Towhead" Booher, 77, of Hebron, KY, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, from Bethsaida Christian Church with Bro. Danny Simpson officiating. Burial was in Booher cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Booher, a factory worker and school custodian, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at his daughter's' residence.

Born November 23, 1922, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Joel and Sibbie Evaline "Hill" Booher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lexie (Hull) Booher; a daughter, Jewel Booher; four sisters, Flora Rich, Lora Huff, Edna Logan, and Delsie Winningham; and six brothers, Willie C. Booher, Obert D. Booher, Hoy Lee Booher, Eugene H. Booher, Homer C. Booher, and Coy E. Booher.

He was a member of Taylor's Port Church of God in Taylor's Port, KY. He was also a U.S. veteran of WWII.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Jones, Monroe, and Kay James, Hebron, KY; a son, Jimmie A. Booher, Hebron, KY; a sister, Wilma Huckeby, Monroe; a brother, Irvin Booher, Cincinnatti, OH; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steven Choate, Larry Hull, Sammy James, Tyler James, Stephen Jones, and Timothy Jones.

Hugh R. Moredock
Funeral services for Mr. Hugh R. Moredock, 98, of Allons, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. J. Glea Shelley officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Moredock died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a farmer, a carpenter, and a member of the Martins Chapel Methodist Church.

Born July 15, 1903, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Joe Davis and Nannie (Maynord) Moredock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice (Daniel) Moredock; and a son, Harold Moredock.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Iver and Ima Moredock, Cookeville; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Cecil Ramsey
Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Ramsey, 79, of Goodlettsville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. H.S. Brown officiating. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery in the New Hope Community of Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ramsey died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at the Madison Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Madison. He was a retired machinist from Textron and a member of the Porter Heights Baptist Church in Nashville.

Born January 1, 1922, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late William H. and May (Stafford) Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Zollie Ramsey and Charles Ramsey; and four sisters, Ina Rose Ramsey, Joann Ramsey, Juanita Ramsey, and Alvie Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma (Smith) Ramsey, Goodlettsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Bonnie Ramsey, Goodlettsville; a daughter, Patricia Ramsey, LaVergne; a stepdaughter, Paulette Board, Goodlettsville; a brother, Willie J. Ramsey, Chicago, IL; a half-brother, Harold Ramsey, Hilham; a sister, Lola Alexander, Byhalia, MS; a half-sister, Opal Ayers, Hilham; six grandchildren, Angela Ramsey, Ryan Ramsey, Michelle Covington, Eddie Lawson, Jennifer Wyatt, and Darryl Wyatt; and two great grandchildren, Jessica Covington and Conner Covington.

Cecile (Strode) Clark
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecile (Strode) Clark, 86, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro, with Bro. O'Neal Huffines officiating. Burial was in the Rob Draper Memorial cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Clark died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a former assistant Postmaster at the Whitleyville and Haydenburg Post Offices and former owner and operator of Haydenburg General Merchandise in Jackson County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Born January 24, 1915, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cartha (Keith) Strode. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jona R. Clark; and a grandson, Glen Ashley Clark.

Survivors include a son, Ward Clark, Nashville; two daughters, Patsy Hall, Donelson, and Peggy Gunnels, Livingston; two sisters, Anna Alice (Tooter) Blankenship, Carthage, and Opal Bilbrey, Red Boiling Springs; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.

Daniel Tyler Lancaster
Funeral services for Daniel Tyler Lancaster, 16, of Monroe, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2001, from the Livingston Academy gymnasium with Rev. Robert Ziehmer, Rev. Dee Ledford, and Dr. Lyle Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Nelson cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Tyler died Saturday, September 15, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a student at Livingston Academy, and a member of the First Christian Church in Livingston. He was a YACC reporter, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Interact Club, and the Livingston Academy football team. He was also a manager for two years for the Livingston Academy girls' soccer team, and the boys' basketball team.

Born August 15, 1985, in Putnam County, he was the son of David and Shelia Lancaster of Monroe.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include grandparents, Lester and Bernice Freeman, and Woody Lynn Reagan, all of Monroe, and Charles and Freida Lancaster, Livingston; great grandparents, Columbus and Quannie Garrett, Monroe, and Dan and Christine Lancaster, Livingston; one aunt, Sharon Leath, Westmorland; an uncle and aunt, Steve and Wanda Lancaster, Livingston; several cousins, great aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers were Steve Lancaster, Gary Pettis, Terry Melton, Matt Eldridge, Bobby Gore, Shane Qualls, and Steve Looper. Serving as honorary pallbearers were the members of the Livingston Academy Football Team.

Jimmie Howard Franklin
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Howard Franklin, 54, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating. Burial was in the Campground cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Franklin died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a factory worker and of the Methodist Faith.

Born March 26, 1947, in Cookeville, he was the son of James Franklin of Cookeville, and the late Willie (Hammons) Franklin.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Delborah "Debbie" Kay (Handy) FIelds
Funeral services for Mrs. Delborah "Debbie" Kay (Handy) Fields, 48 of Ellijay, GA, formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, from the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay with Rev. Steve Fields and Dr. Milton Perry officiating. A funeral service was also held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Burial was in the Falling Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Fields died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a graduate of Livingston Academy and Pickens Tech Department of Cosmetology, and a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Mildred Faye (Winningham) Handy of Livingston and the late James Donald Hany.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Rev. Steve Lee Fields, Ellijay; two sisters, Sharon (Handy) Murphy and Sabra (Handy) Wilson; seven brothers, James Lee Handy, Billy Ray Handy, Johnny Michael Handy, Gerald Brinte Handy, Gary Wayne Handy, Steve Allen Handy, and Tommy Handy, all of Livingston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Craig Decker
Funeral services for Mr. Craig Decker were conducted at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Martin's Home For Service, Inc., Montclair, NJ. Martins Home For Service, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Decker died Sunday, September 9, 2001. He was the son of William Decker of Monroe, and Ruth Decker.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his stepmother, Joan Decker, Monroe; three brothers, Daim Macadow, Bruce Decker, and Mark Decker; and other relatives and friends.

Lena (Breeding) Dean
Funeral services for Mrs. Lena (Breeding) Dean, 91, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, from Livingston church of Christ with Bro. Chris Coil officiating. Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Dean died Sunday, April 28 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Livingston Church of Christ, Tennessee Education Association, and Overton County Retired Teachers Association.

Born June 13, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. W.M. and Ida (Burks) Breeding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. "Judge" Dean; two brothers, Lee Breeding and Bill Breeding; and a sister, Lucille Windham.

Survivors include a son, Don Dean, Franklin; a daughter, Dottie Gallagher, Cookeville; a brother, Edward Breeding, Linden; a sister, Sara Forshee, Livingston; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Gallagher, Mark Gallagher, Glen Gallagher, Jack Pigg, Riley Johnson, and David Dickerson.

Claud Geesling
Funeral services for Mr. Claud Geesling, 94, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating. Burial was in Campground cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Geesling died Sunday, May 5 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a farmer.

Born July 30, 1907, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Luther and Minnie (Taylor) Geesling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Della (Bilbrey) Geesling, and a son, Billy Clay Geesling.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Clara Mae and Bruce Presley and Evelyn Geesling, all of Hilham; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles McDonald, Larry Geesling, Kenny Geesling, Louie Geesling, Ernest Geesling, and Steven Auberson.

Carlie Herman Greenwood
Funeral services for Mr. Carlie Herman Greenwood, 81, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch and Rev. Gary Davis officiating. Burial was in Ruth Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Greenwood died Monday, April 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a sawmill worker and of the Baptist faith.

Born September 28, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John Preston and Louiza (Bilbrey) Greenwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Greenwood and J.P. Greenwood; and three sisters, Virgie Langford, Betsy Hargis, and Bertha Stewart.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Greenwood, Livingston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Brenda Greenwood, Oneida, and Loyd and Tammy Greenwood, Celina; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Johnny Sells, Monroe; a brother, Carlos Greenwood, Livingston; two sisters, Beulah Hargis, Anderson, IN, and Lola Belle Hawkins, Hilham; four grandchildren, Diane Thrasher, Johnny Sells, Whitley Sells, and Chris Greenwood; four step-grandchildren, Chance Goad, Trinity Weddle, Cobie Chambers, and Jaco Chambers; two great grandchildren, Jordan Thrasher and Billy Greenwood; and two step-great grandchildren, Austin Goad and Brooke Goad.

Pallbearers were Buddy Long, Johnny Vaughn, David Conaster, Carl Dulworth, Shane Dulworth, Ronnie Dulworth, Charles Ray Greenwood, and Keith Brown.

Charlene Hill
Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Hill, 35, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2002, from the Rickman Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Buck officiating. Burial was in Paran cemetery with the Rickman Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Hill died Friday, May 3 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a nursing aide and of the Christian faith.

Born September 25, 1966, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Ernest and Rosa (Hargis) Brown of Algood. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Michael Hill, Algood; two daughters, Lindsey Hill and Christy Howell, both of Algood; a brother, Michael Brown, Jackson County; and two sisters, Darlene Buck, Algood, and Sharon Allen, Gainesboro.

Pallbearers were R.J. Thompson, Jimmy Brown, Jimmy Waylon Brown, Jerry Buck, Roger Hargis, Chris Carper, Arnold Price, and Shannon Copeland.

Robert Clayton McCormick
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Clayton McCormick, 69, of McEwen, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Elder L. Douglas Beaty officiating. Burial was in Beaty cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McCormick died Friday, April 26 at Three Rivers Baptist Hospital in Waverly. He was a machinist/factory worker and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Born April 10, 1933, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Roy and Orpha Myrtle (Todd) McCormick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Dean (Cooper) McCormick; two brothers, Ward McCormick and Ray McCormick; and an infant sister.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mona and Gary Watzlavick, Tennessee Ridge, Andra and Paul D'Archangel, McEwen, and Debra and Chris Mock, Toledo, OH; a brother, Jerry McCormick, Dunlap; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Henry Foster, Allons; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Neil Beasley, Jim Hull, Steven Woronec, Di Sawetrat, Kris Williams, and John Woronec.
