A.B. Webb
Funeral services for Mr. A.B. Webb, 58, of Hilham, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Comer McGuire officiating. Burial was in Zion Hill cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Webb died Monday, July 22 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was a machinist and of the Methodist faith.

Born May 31, 1944, in Overton County, he was the son of Agnes (Ray) Webb and the late Brance Webb. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allison Faith Webb.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Margaret (Cross) Webb, Hilham; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Madelyn Webb, Rickman; a daughter, Lisa Webb, Hilham; a sister, Virginia (Webb) Moody, Rickman; and a granddaughter, Candace Webb, Rickman.

Pallbearers were Allen Loftis, Randy Brewer, Danny England, Mark Cross, Kenneth Laycock, and Jesse Nelson.

Elizabeth Norrod
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Norrod, 89, of Rickman, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001, from Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church with Timothy Wilson, A.J. Looper, and John Copeland officiating. Burial was in the Quall's Family cemetery in Overton County with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Norrod died Sunday, January 28, 2001, at Livingston Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired school teacher.

Born August 18, 1911, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Tom and Sara Malinda May (Danner) Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill" Norrod; three sisters, Nellie Maynord, Elease Thompson, and Velma Thompson; and three brothers, Hollis Thompson, Arnold Thompson, and Archie Thompson.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel Norrod and Jerry Norrod, both of Livingston; seven daughters, Billie Faye Johnson, Fortville, IN, Elizabeth McCowan and Roberta Kay Ledbetter, both of Monterey, Clara May Phillips, Crawford, and Margie Dixon, Jonell Speck and Brenda Moore, all of Rickman; a sister, Hallie Norrod, Rickman; and two special ladies, Anita Peterman and Edith Beaty.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Walker, Phillip Walker, Mark Norrod, Richard McCowan, Ronnie Phillips, Rocky Dixon, Jeff Dixon, Brian Ledbetter, Barry Ledbetter, and Terry Speck.

Dora Murphy
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Murphy, 92, of Monterey, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey with Rev. Clayton Padgett and Rev. Delmer McCowan officiating. Burial was in the Phillips cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Murphy died Thursday, February 8, 2001, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. She was a homemaker.

Born February 6, 1909, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Laborn and Mae (Vaughn) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Murphy; three infant children; and a grandson, Tracy Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Earlene Padgett, Monterey, and Emma Jean Truitt, Orlando, FL; five sons, Robert Lee Murphy, Cookeville, Percy Murphy, Joe D. Murphy, and Paul Murphy, all of Monterey, and Marvin Murphy Jr., Dunkirk, IN; a brother, Charlie Phillips, Monterey; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Rupert McDonald
Funeral services for Mr. Rupert McDonald, 69, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in the Sylvester Robbins cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McDonald died Monday, February 5, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Hospital.

He was a machinist and of the Methodist faith.

Born May 4, 1931, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Molly Doris McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Sells; and four brothers, Owen McDonald, Emil McDonald, Porter McDonald, and Gerald McDonald.

Survivors include three sons, Barney McDonald and Donnie McDonald, both of Livingston, and Tracy McDonald, Monroe; two brothers, George McDonald, Cleveland, OH, and Ted McDonald, San Antonio, TX; a sister, Betty Joe Dotson, White Bluff; and a grandson. Pallbearers were Tommy Crabtree, Clifford Paul, Blan Smith, Pat Smith, Jeff Dodson, and Justin McDonald. Serving as honorary pallbearers were T. Crabtree and Kevin Dotson.

Stella Ruth Martin
Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Ruth Martin, 80, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2001, from Antioch Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Watts of Murfreesboro officiating. Burial was in the Antioch cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Martin died Monday, February 5, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a housewife and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ.

Born July 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John Tom and Susie (Chilton) Holman.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Martin, Monroe; a sister, Larue Price, Algood; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Terry Young, Joe Conner, Joe Garrett, Elmo Garrett, Bud Worley, and Joe Arney.

Evalena Collins
Funeral services for Mrs. Evalena Collins, 79, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Collins died Tuesday, February 6, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a garment factory worker and of the Presbyterian faith.

Born March 24, 1921, in White County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Carrie (Milligan) Snodgrass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.F. Collins; and two brothers, Herman Snodgrass and Clay Snodgrass.

Survivors include a son, Carson Oliver, Livingston; two daughters, Betty Sue Bilbrey and Brenda Oliver, both of Livingston; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Carson Oliver, Darren Oliver, Greg Oliver, Lucas Oliver, Michael West, and Rick Sykes.

Billy Gene Daily
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Gene Daily, 64, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. John Daily officiating. Burial was in the Old Union cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Daily died Monday, February 5, 2001, at his daughter's home.

He was a factory worker for TRW Ross Gear, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church.

Born June 25, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Ben and Ellie (Neal) Daily.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Daily, Cookeville; a daughter, Phyllis Crawford, Livingston; a step-son, Marty Allen, Gainesboro; four brothers, Bob Daily, Jerry Daily, and Walter Daily, all of Rickman, and John Daily, Cookeville; two sisters, Magdalene Smith, Rickman, and Janice Brown, Alabama; a grandson, Travis Ledbetter; and a step-grandson, Hunter Allen.

Pallbearers were William Johnson, Don Ogletree, Roy Daily, Ronnie Flatt, Richard Ledbetter, and Albert Harris.

Margaret Beulah Lewis
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Beulah Lewis, 100, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2001, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home with Bro. Comer McGuire and Bro. Glen McDoniel officiating. Burial was in the Dodson Chapel cemetery in Overton County with Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lewis died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Hill Methodist Church.

Born October 26, 1900, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Amanda (Hawkins) Langford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzie F. Lewis; three sisters, Margie Green, Gladys Hawkins, and Cleo Manning; three brothers, Hubert Langford, Aaron Langford, and Wiley Langford; and two grandchildren, Michael Judd and Jackie Sue Shipley.

Survivors include three daughters, Geneva Glasgow, Cookeville, Ella Hight, Atlanta, GA, and Marcia Shipley, Richmond, VA; a son, Curtis Lewis, Warner Robins, GA; a brother, Willie Langford, Cookeville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robert Glasgow, Roger Glasgow, Ronald Glasgow, Jeffrey Glasgow, John Shires, Ed Shires, and Johnathan Shipley.

Goldie A. Rock
Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie A. Rock, 69, of Alexandria, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, from the chapel of Avant Funeral Home in Alexandria with Bro. Billy Hale and Bro. Omer Grisham officiating. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery in Alexandria with Avant Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Rock died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Baptist DeKalb Hospital in Smithville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Calvary Church of Christ in Brush Creek.

Born October 8, 1931, in Crawford, she was the daughter of the late Jack Riley and Mertie (Ledbetter) Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Beulah Cooper, Dorothy Collins, Dimple Ward, and Marie Vaughn; and four brothers, George Vaughn, Hershel Vaughn, Charlie Vaughn, and Bobby Vaughn.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Rock, Alexandria; two sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Debbie Rock, Cedar Lake, IN, and Ronnie D. and Elaine Rock, Alexandria; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diann and Jackie Johnson, Alexandria, and Glenda and Dan Foster, Birmingham, AL; a brother, Daniel Vaughn, Short Mountain; and seven grandchildren, Chris Foster, Jason Foster, Lindsey Foster, Heather Rock, Dale Rock Jr., Michelle Johnson, and Jamie Johnson.

Howard Daron Reed
Funeral services for Mr. Howard Daron Reed, 65, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2001, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home with Frank Davis officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill cemetery with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Reed was a farmer and was of the Methodist faith.

Born October 5, 1935, in Overton County, he was the son of Hassie Pearl (Patterson) Reed of Cookeville, and the late Herman Reed.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Lorene Reed, Cookeville; a nephew and his wife, Ricky and Liz Reed, McMinniville, and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Jerry Smith, Johnny Smith, Dale Farley, Ricky Reed, Randy Deck, and James Rector.

Jessie Evelyne Olgetree
Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Evelyne Olgetree, 65, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Anderson and Bro. Bob Stoner officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Olgetree died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.

Born January 17, 1936, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Rhoda (Hawkins) West.

Survivors include her husband, James Payton Olgetree, Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lee and Terry Olgetree, Joelton; a brother, Freddie West, Nashville; two sisters, Sue Randolph, Nashville, and Jane West, Cookeville; and two grandchildren, Cheyenne Lee Olgetree and Autumn Lynn Olgetree.

Pallbearers were Webster Lewis, Kenneth Lynn, Jimmy Keisling, Percy Hill, Gib Hill, and Martin Hargis.

Larry Ray Norris
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Ray Norris, 50, of Alpine, were conducted at 1 p.m Thursday, May 17, 2001, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Nolen Cantrell officiating. Burial was in the Green Hill cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Norris died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a heavy equipment operator and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Born August 28, 1950, in Livingston, he was the son of the late James C. and Oma (Vaughn) Norris.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Norris, Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Micheal R. and Jennifer Norris; a step-son, Kyle Sells; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen M. and Frank Potter, and Kellie G. and Dudley Talley; his children's mother, Linda Norris; a sister, Diane McBride; a brother, Ernest Norris; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Ferrell, Rex King, Mark Linder, Frank Potter, Kyle Sells, Ron Sells, Kip Smith, and Bill Thorton.
