Ray Nebraska Poston
Funeral services for Mr. Ray Nebraska Poston, 79, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. James Williams and Rev. Comer McGuire officiating. Burial was in Algood City cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Poston died Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a heavy equipment owner and operator, past Master of Masonic Lodge 259, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and of the Methodist faith.

Born June 10, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late William Canada and Lou Myrtle (Frye) Poston.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Poston, Rickman; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ray Edward Poston, Algood, and Harold Keith and Melissa Poston, Livingston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Blenda Sue Burgin, Atlanta, GA, and Patricia Ann and Jeff Keyes, Rickman; a brother and sister-in-law, W.C. Poston Jr. and Effer Lee Poston, Livingston; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bobby Poston, Billy Poston, David Poston, Elliott Poston, Michael Poston, Horace Poston, Donald Ray, and Daniel Keyes. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Randall Livingston, Rick Livingston, Noah Houston, and Jeff Keyes.

Willie Mayford Reeder
Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mayford Reeder, 57, of the Independence Community of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Honeycutt and Bro. Jim Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Martin cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Reeder died Friday, Sept. 13 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was a healthcare worker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Born January 11, 1945, in Overton County, he was the son of Nellie Kyle Reeder of Cookeville and the late Clarvess Reeder.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Marsha Reeder, Cleveland; five brothers, William Fred Reeder, Marshall Reeder, Shirley Reeder, and John Reeder, all of Nashville, and Billy Joe Reeder, Houston, TX; and two sisters, Betty Bowman, Livingston, and Charlene Sisco, Nashville.

Buster Bilbrey
Funeral services for Rev. Buster Bilbrey, 76, of Algood, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, from the Algood chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gaw officiating. Burial will be in Burton Quarles cemetery with Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bilbrey died Monday, Sept. 16 at Masters Health Care Center. He was a retired minister having served at several area churches including Union Hill, Douglas Chapel, and Shady Grove Freewill Baptist churches. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Born May 1, 1926, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Minda Phillips Bilbrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Burton) Bilbrey; three sisters, Agnes Looper, Magalene Bilbrey, and Bettie Ruth Bilbrey; and two brothers, Conroy Bilbrey and McKay Bilbrey.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Melinda Bilbrey; a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and William L. "Bill" Wiegand; and three grandchildren, Sara Bilbrey, Ben Wiegand, and Josh Wiegand. Pallbearers will be Bob Brown, Doyle Burton, Wayne Burton, Josh Wiegand, Ben Wiegand, and Bill Wiegand.

Clara Pauline Rich
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Pauline Rich, 85, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Ken Miller officiating. Burial was in Rich cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Rich died Saturday, Sept. 14 at Cumberland River Hospital. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Born July 20, 1915, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Mary Ellen (Key) Scott.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Rich, Celina; a son, Bobby Rich, Monrovia, IN; two daughters, Lou Vena Estep and Wilma White, both of Celina; four half-brothers, Boyd Scott, Celina, James Scott, Hilham, Roger Scott, and Jerry Scott; four half-sisters, Josephine Nixon, Celina, Hallie Branson, Owensboro, KY, Billie Sixter, Indiana, and Christine Moynihan; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Dorothy Lee Sissom
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Sissom, 79, of Cookeville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 17, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Doyle Crawford officiating. Burial was in Moss cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Sissom died Saturday, Sept. 14 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a clerk at a department store and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Born December 19, 1922, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Edward and Ada "Condra" Bilbrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Odle.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Joan Odle, Muncie, IN; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jim Lynn, Sparta; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Joyce and Matt Weaver, Muncie, IN; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald and Mabel Bilbrey, Lafayette, David Bilbrey, Celina, and James and Linda Bilbrey, Rickman; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Doris and Robert Jackson and Lorene Long, all of Red Boiling Springs; Dorene Bilbrey, Celina, Lexie Shupperd, Tipton, IN, and Paul and Evelyn Brown, Moss; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Diane Withers
Funeral services for Mrs. Diane Withers, 40, of the Love Joy Community near Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Charles Dickey officiating. Goff Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Withers died Sunday, Sept. 15 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a nurse, a member of the Church of God in Chattanooga, a pianist, and valedictorian of her licensed practical nursing class in Livingston in June 2000.

Born December 5, 1961, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of John and Rita Glyn-Jones of the Love Joy Community.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, C.M. Withers, Love Joy Community; a daughter, Jessica Withers, Love Joy Community; a son, Zachary Withers, Love Joy Community; a brother, John David Glyn-Jones, Smithfield, VA; and a special friend, Mary Ann Norrod, Cookeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Aplastic Anemia Foundation, P.O. Box 613, Annapolis, MD 21404.

Ezra Poe Craighead
Funeral services for Mr. Ezra Poe Craighead, 76, of Red Boiling Springs, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Lawrence Williamson officiating. Burial was in Pitcock cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Craighead died Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was a farmer and affiliated with the Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Born May 19, 1924, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Herman and Maxie (Eads) Craighead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Craighead and Paul Craighead.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Baker Craighead, Red Boiling Springs; two sons, Ronnie Craighead, Mt. Juliet, and Jerry Craighead, Murfreesboro; a daughter, Robbie Johnson, Sarasota, FL; two brothers, Don Craighead, Greenwood, IN, and Billy Craighead, Oak Grove; and seven grandchildren.

Sandra Louise Adams
Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Louise Adams, 38, of Hilham, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina. Burial was in Turkey Town cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Adams died Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

Born March 5, 1962, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Chester Boles and Myrtle Maglene Hooten of Hilham.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, James Adams, Celina; a son, James Kenzie Adams, Celina; four brothers, Ralph Boles, Jimmy Boles, and Jackie Boles, all of Hilham, and Freddie Boles, Celina; and two sisters, Tammy Cyphers, Allons, and Lisa Virginia Boles, Livingston.

Master Jeremy Denton Conklin
Funeral services for Master Jeremy Denton Conklin, age 15 months, of Hilham, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Halliburton officiating. Burial was in Camp Ground cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Master Conklin died Sunday, December 24, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born September 20, 1999, in Overton County, he was the son of Russell Michael and Penni Ann Romer Conklin of Hilham.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include two brothers, Michael Conklin and Justin Conklin, both of Hilham; a sister, Jessica Conklin, Hilham; grandparents, Grace Romer and James O'Donnell, both of South Carolina, and George Romer Jr., New York; and great grandparent, Cass Conklin, New York. Pallbearers were Russell Conklin, Billy Decker, Chris Romer, and Richard Moore.

Flora Maybelle (Reagan) Wilborn
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Maybelle (Reagan) Wilborn, 82, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2000, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Shaw officiating. Burial was in the Martin cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Wilborn died Thursday, December 28, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She loved gardening, quilting, and reading.

Born August 21, 1918, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late John and Cindy (Cox) Reagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Wilborn; two brothers, Arvil Reagan and Ira Reagan; and three sisters, Emily Wilborn, Cassie Taylor, and Connie Reagan.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Crutcher, Oak Ridge; a son, Kenneth Wilborn, Cookeville; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ellen Whittaker
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Whittaker, 72, of Merritt Island, FL, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2000, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey with Rev. Clayton Padgett officiating. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Whittaker died Thursday, December 21, 2000, in Orlando, FL.

She was a homemaker.

Born December 8, 1928, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Vicie Vaughn Bilbrey.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Whittaker, Merritt Island, FL; two sons, Craig Whittaker, Merritt Island, FL, and Kenneth Whittaker, Melbourne, FL; and two grandchildren, Jessica Whittaker, and Jarrod Whittaker.

Chloe Jane (Reynolds) Beaty
Funeral services for Mrs. Chloe Jane (Reynolds) Beaty, 96, of Alpine, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Christ Church Presbyterian with Rev. Bill Blankenship and Rev. Don Padget officiating. Burial was in King cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Beaty died Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of Christ Church Presbyterian.

Born February 17, 1906, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Juno and Susie (Winningham) Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hobson Beaty; an infant son; a son, Juno Beaty; a daughter, Rita Davis; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Jessie Linder, Deanna Linder, and Sue Ruble, all of Alpine; three sons, David Beaty, Alpine, Clifton Beaty, Hixon, and Rex Beaty, Seattle, WA; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Rusty Linder, Eddie Linder, Scott Beaty, Phillip Beaty, Dennis Beaty, Jamie Beaty, Keith Beaty, Kevin Beaty, and Bryan Davis.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jennifer Bruss, Ginger Halsell, Myra Hargis, Rena Stover, and Meloney Fabra.
