FRANKLIN R. "FRANK" LAYCOCK
Funeral services for Mr. Franklin R. "Frank" Laycock, 66, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, from Lighthouse Church in Rickman. Burial was in Zion Hill cemetery with Gary Davis and Theo Watts officiating. Rickman-Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Laycock died Thursday, Dec. 5 at his home.

Born September 25, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Kelly and Ella Mae (Bilbrey) Laycock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Valesta Spears and Velma Laycock; and two brothers, James Laycock and Daniel Laycock.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Miller) Laycock of Rickman; two sons, David Laycock and Scott Laycock, both of Rickman; two sisters, Mable Ward of Cookeville and Emma Smith of Algood; and a brother, Delma Laycock of Rickman.

Pallbearers were Greg Whited, Kenneth Laycock, Larry Reed, Rick Clouse, Mike Miller, Deloy Miller, and Larry Smith.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ron Abner, Cecil Cole, Randy Prichard, Rick Dodson, Keith Bass, and Eugene Gilliam, all deacons of Lighthouse Church.

LARRY PAUL LEDBETTER
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Paul Ledbetter, 47, of Celina, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina. Burial was in Fitzgerald cemetery with Bro. Bill Ramsey officiating.

Mr. Ledbetter died Friday, Dec. 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a packer with Osh Kosh and a member of the Baptist church.

Born May 6, 1955, in the Timothy Community, he was the son of Ruth Ledbetter of Celina and the late Paul Colson.

Survivors include two brothers, B.J. Ledbetter of Celina and Johnny Ledbetter of Gainesboro; and a siser, Sandra Hargis of Celina.

INEZ NAOMI WRIGHT
Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Naomi Wright, 70, of Monroe, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Mrs. Wright died Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Midland, TX. She was a housewife and a member of Level Park Baptist Church in Battle Creek, MI.

Born January 12, 1932, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ervin E. and Ida Ethel (York) Norris.

Survivors include her husband, Wilbur O. Wright of Monroe; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Kathy Wright of Rocklin, CA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Billie Norris of Livingston and Jerry and Treva Norris of Alpine; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanna and Roy Johnson of Livingston; two grandchildren, Sara Naomi Wright and Jacob Luke Wright; and four nephews, Jonathan Norris, Kevin Norris, Dale Norris, and Darrell Norris.

Pallbearers were Kevin Norris, Jonathan Norris, Darrell Norris, Nolan Cantrell, Doug Smith, and Mike Smith.

Mary Bell Goolsby
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Bell Goolsby, 67, of Bloomington Springs, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial was in the Byers cemetery in Putnam County with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Goolsby died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga. She worked in a family tool and die business.

Born August 21, 1933, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Bessie (Petty) Goolsby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; an infant son; and two brothers, Paul "Red" Goolsby and Cecil Goolsby.

Survivors include her husband, Lendon "Windy" Goolsby, Bloomington Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Thresa and Ronnie Wilson, Baxter; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don and Cheryl Goolsby, Nashville, and Bill Goolsby, Cookeville; a brother, Bailey Goolsby, Baxter; five sisters, Brenda Flatt, Cookeville, Joyce Hoese, Cordin, IN, Polly Jackson, Baxter, Jessie Chance, Jacksonville, FL, and Marie Moore, Livingston; five grandchildren, Tyler Wilson and Charity Smith, both of Baxter, Wendy Goolsby and Tiffany Goolsby, both of Cookeville, and Monica Stephens, Monterey; and one great granddaughter, Katelyn Stephens.

Marshall Wayne Hall
Funeral services for Mr. Marshall Wayne Hall, 62, of Rickman, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 20, 2001, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope cemetery in the New Hope Community of Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hall died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a disabled truck driver, a school bus driver, former owner of Hall's Market in the Okolona Community of Overton County, and a member of the Church of Christ.

Born March 22, 1939, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late James Marshall and Cora Virgie (Masters) Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Donna (Davison) Hall, Rickman; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Hall, Rickman, and Brian and Tina Hall, Livingston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and James Woodard, Elmwood, and Karen and Rickey Reeder, Livingston; five brothers, Estel E. Hall, Michigan, Lewis Hall, Cookeville, Cecil Hall and Donnie Hall, both of Hilham, and Curtis Hall, Livingston; two sisters, Annette Smith, Cookeville, and Elizabeth York, Livingston; and seven grandchildren, Rickey, Kim, Lisa, Rebecca, Dustin, Derek, and Chris.

Billy E. Dishman
Funeral services for Mr. Billy E. Dishman, 65, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2000, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Todd and Benton Goolsby officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangments.

Mr. Dishman, a foreman of a road construction crew, died Saturday, September 23, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born September 27, 1934, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Carver Lee and Oda Mae (Bilbrey) Dishman. He was affiliated with the Hilham Church of God and a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie (Bowman) Dishman, Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Baker, Allons; a brother, Leland Dishman, LaVonia, GA; an uncle, Carlon Dishman, Battlecreek, MI; three grandchildren, Michael Baker Jr., Rachel Samantha Baker, and Elizabeth Savannah Baker, all of Allons; a niece, Amy Wilcox, Georgia; a nephew, Mike Dishman, Ankorage, AK; and a great niece, Emily Wilcox, Georgia.

Pallbearers were Paul Bilbrey, Ridley Blaylock, Bill Hassler, Jeff Moore, Estus Pennington, and Johnny Ray Seegraves. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Lib Gore, Verlin Henson, Frank Owens, Noah Choate, James Holkem, Leonard Barlow, and Quality Home Health workers.

J.D. Martin
Funeral services for Mr. J.D. Martin, 63, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2000, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Glen Ledbetter and Cecil Shaw officiating. Burial was in Martin cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Martin, an oil well worker, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born July 18, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of Flora (Johnson) Martin and the late Dewey Martin. He was a member of the Free Communion Church of Christ.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sons, Barry Martin, Livingston, and Steve Martin, Monroe; a sister, Willa Dean Seber, Monroe; three grandchildren, Adam Martin, Sean Martin, and Makaylah Cole; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bulos Martin, Carlie Reeder, Howard Winningham, J.B. Kyle, Clyde Paul, and Keith McCormick.

Dulah Grace (Flowers) Nicholas
Funeral services for Mrs. Dulah Grace (Flowers) Nicholas, 91, of Pall Mall, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000, from Wolf River Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Cross and Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was in Williams Chapel cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Nicholas, a homemaker, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at her residence.

Born July 7, 1908, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary (Neal) Flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar "Ed" Nicholas; a son, Glen Nicholas; four sisters, Uldean Huddleston, Donnie White, Delores Nicholas, and Rose Lee; three brothers, Drexel Flowers, Dewey Flowers, and Dennis Bradley; and a granddaughter, Amanda Daniels.

She was a member of the Wolf River Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy Cross, Panama City, FL, Edith Davidson, Byrdstown, Beatrice and Eulis Evans, Pall Mall, and Glee and Joe Daniels, Baxter; four sons and daughters-in-law, Duell and Donna Nicholas, Willie and Dorothy Nicholas, Randy and Helen Nicholas, all of Pall Mall, and Oren and Carol Nicholas, Albany, KY; a brother-in-law, Clayton Lee, Byrdstown; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy King, Phillip Badham, Ricky Nicholas, Garry Daniels, Terry Daniels, Jerry Poore, Jimmy Nicholas, Matt Nicholas, Larry Beaty, Michael Hamlin, Darryl Crawford, and Scott Storie.

Hollis Qualls
Funeral services for Mr. Hollis Qualls, 77, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2000, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home. Burial was in Algood City cemetery with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Qualls, a used car dealer and farmer, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 7, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Rebecca Jane (Bilbrey) Qualls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Hison and Denton Qualls; and two brothers, Willis Qualls and Dayton Qualls.

He served in the Armed Forces during World War II, receiving the EAME Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal World War II, and Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene (Dennis) Qualls, Rickman; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Steve Sagar, Nashville; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Qualls, David Qualls, all of Rickman, and Allen Qualles, Murfreesboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Hack and Violet Qualls, Cookeville; two sisters, Clara Qualls and Hazel Poteet, Algood; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Halsell, Bill Nelson, Bud Easterly, Bill White, Bro. Elmer McCowan, and Delbert Jones.

Theda Jeanette Almonrode
Funeral services for Mrs. Theda Jeanette Almonrode, 62, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2000, from Grace Baptist Church in Alpine with Bro. Daniel Ledford and Bro. John Copeland officiating. Burial was in Jones cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Almonrode, a ward clerk at Livingston Regional Hospital, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 22, 1938, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lerion Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald William Ledford. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Kent Almonrode, Livingston; two brothers, Larry Ledford, Murfreesboro, and Bruce Ledford, Livingston; and three sisters, Barbara Eganey, Teresa Cantrell, both of Livingston, and Judith Brown, Coalmont.

Pallbearers were Bob Buford, Ray Ringley, Gerald Collins, Robert Norris, Gary Ledbetter, and Jerry Dale.

John Elmer Cox
Funeral services for Mr. John Elmer Cox, 77, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Rodney Haskins officiating. Burial was in McDonald cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Cox, an employee with the Clay County Highway Department, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born January 21, 1923, in Hilham, he was the son of the late Jessie and Liza (Hawkins) Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella (Dulworth) Cox.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors inclue three sons, Troy Cox, Celina, Melvin Cox, Lebanon, and Grady Cox, Brush Creek; two daughters, Rosie Key and Lee Christian, both of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Roenia Phillips
Funeral services for Mrs. Roenia Phillips, 83, of Monterey, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2000, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey with Rev. Billy England and Rev. Gerald Phillips officiating. Burial was in Weeks cemetery in Muddy Pond with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Phillips, a homemaker, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 10, 1917, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Hillman Harrison and Temple (Weeks) Hassler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Willie Phillips.

She was a member of the Union B Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Erbin Phillips, Monterey; two daughters, Jewell Melton and Lilly McCowan, both of Monterey; two sons, Everett Phillips, Monterey, and Elvie D. Phillips, Muddy Pond; a sister, Mary Jane Green, Crossville; a brother, Herbert Hassler, Monterey; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
