Toby Lynn Garrison
Mrs. Toby Lynn Garrison, 37, of Monroe, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Due to family's choice of cremation, a private family memorial service is planned for a later date.

Born March 27, 1962, in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of Myra (Fabre) Sells and the step-daughter of Forrest "Sonny" Sells, both of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Fenton; three step-sons, Freddie "Tiny" Garrison, Edward Garrison, and Roy Garrison; a grandmother, Mae Fabre; and a brother, Danny "Mouse" Fabre.

Survivors, in addition to her mother and step-father, include her husband, Gene Garrison, Monroe; a grandfather, Emanuel "Tob" Fabre, Monroe; a step-daughter, Sandra Adkins, Monroe; two step-sons, Brett Garrison, Cookeville, and Greg Garrison, Akron, OH; a sister, Toni Gruic, Lakemore, OH; and three grandchildren.

Mertie Lee (Bilbrey) Lessig
Funeral services for Mrs. Mertie Lee (Bilbrey) Lessig, 79, of Crown Point, MI, and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Schmid officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lessig, a housewife, died Saturday, February 19, 2000, at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point, MI.

Born March 7, 1920, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Lucy A. (Crabtree) Bilbrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper Harris; her second husband, Jim Lessig; and a son, Jim Lessig.

She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Carl Macy, Sun City, AZ, and Brenda and Dale Petersen, Crown Point, MI; a daughter-in-law, Joy Lessig Dixon, Battle Creek, MI; three brothers, James Bilbrey, Calumet City, IL, John Bilbrey, Cookeville, and Billy Bilbrey, Livingston; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Mont Edward Copeland
Funeral services for Mr. Mont Edward Copeland, 68, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial was in Turkeytown cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Copeland died Saturday, Aug. 24 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a carpenter and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Born September 14, 1933, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Earl O. and Minnie Pearl (Waites) Copeland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Copeland; and a grandchild, Kaitlain Copeland.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Copeland, Livingston; two sons, Dr. Mark Copeland and John Copeland, both of Chattanooga; a daughter, Monica Means, Rickman; four brothers, Keith Copeland, Huntsville, AL, Michael Copeland and Seth Copeland, both of Livingston, and Thomas Wayne Copeland, Middlesboro, KY; two sisters, Trelba Carlock, Livingston, and Mary Alice Holman, Florence, AL; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Matt Means, Nathan Means, Seth Means, Chris Copeland, Tony Carr, and Gary Carr. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Grover C. Brown, Jerry Windle, Bob Buford, and Bill Parsons.

Roy B. Evans
Funeral services for Mr. Roy B. Evans, 75, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Evans died Thursday, Aug. 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired civil engineer for Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Church of Christ.

Born May 24, 1927, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James A. and Effie (Collins) Copeland.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Evans, Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lucy Evans, Atlanta, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Janie and David Brown, Nashville; a brother, Bob Evans, Chattanooga; three sisters, Ruby Vaughn, Livingston, and Reba Smith and Anna Gilpatrick, both of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Luke Brown and Annie Brown, both of Nashville, and Thomas Evans, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Wayne Evans, Steve Evans, Ray Evans, Tim Vaughn, Tom Smith, and Sam Hines.

Margret E. Frasier
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret E. Frasier, 83, of Livingston, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, from First Christian Church with Rev. Dee Ledford, Jesse Bradshaw, and Robert Ziehmer officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Frasier died Friday, Sept. 6 at her home. She was a retired professor of Home Economics at Tennessee Tech and a member of Livingston First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Civic and Garden Club, and Retired Teachers Association.

Born January 3, 1919, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Barton O. and Victoria (Dillon) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gleeson P. "Jeep" Frasier. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Cathy Frasier, Nacodoches, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Delores and John Turnbull, Livingston; four grandchildren, Amy Hollars, Karen Wolfram, Dr. John Matthew Turnbull, and Daniel Justin Frasier; and eight great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy Gene Gaw, Tim Wolfram, James Hollars, Dr. John Matthew Turnbull, Perry H. Windle, and Roy Cravens.

Betty Cleo Long
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Cleo Long, 87, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Boles officiating. Burial was in St. John cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Long died Thursday, Sept. 5 at Overton County Nursing Home. She worked at Overton County Nursing Home in the kitchen from 1964-1975 and was of the Methodist faith.

Born January 1, 1915, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Betty (Zachary) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar "Ed" Whitson Long Sr.

Survivors include a son, Ed Long, Livingston; a daughter, Judith Ledbetter, Springfield; four grandchildren, Donald Ledbetter, David Ledbetter, Mitchell Long, and Ashley Long; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jewell Ellen (Colson) Reagan
Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Ellen (Colson) Reagan, 68, of Allons, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Bryant and Bro. Billy Cutchall officiating. Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Reagan died Monday, Sept. 2 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a factory worker and a member of Willow Grove Church of Christ.

Born January 23, 1934, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Arville and Bertie Mae (Wright) Colson.

Survivors include her husband, J.C. Reagan, Allons; three daughters, Barbara Jane Schocke, Bolivar, and Freida Mae Finch and Kimberly Kaye Maxfield, both of Allons; two sons, James Carl Reagan, Red Boiling Springs, and Marvin Dale Reagan, Celina; a sister, Nettie Daniels, Allons; a brother, W.C. Colson, Allons; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Carl Reagan Jr., Rocky Blakely, Anthony Blakely, Scottie Reagan, Landon Melton, and Jerry Daniels.

Reno Harding Smith
Funeral services for Mr. Reno Harding Smith, 81, of Alpine, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Dugan Smith cemetery with full military honors provided by the Honor Guard of James T. Davis VFW Memorial Post 5062. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Smith died Friday, Sept. 6 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a farmer, a member of MillerŐs Chapel Christian Church, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Born August 23, 1921, in Fentress County, he was the son of the late Dave and Victoria (Mathis) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle (York) Smith, Alpine; two sons, James Smith and Jesse Smith, both of Alpine; a daughter, Reda Ezell, Alpine; three sisters, Martha York and Mae York, both of Livingston, and Ethel Simpson, Jamestown; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeff Paul, Josh Paul, Billy Smith, Doug Davis, Jason Smith, and Jeff Webb.

Donald Oran Story
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Oran Story, 62, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, from Midway Christian Church in Monroe with Rev. Terry Crabtree officiating. Burial was in Story cemetery in the Monroe Community with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Story died Saturday, Aug. 31 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a sales representative for a food service company and a member of Midway Christian Church.

Born September 18, 1939, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John Oran and Bessie Ann (Dennis) Story.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diann and Wayne Burnett, Crossville, Janet Bowman, Murfreesboro, and Cindy and Tim Nolen, Monroe; a sister and brother-in-law, Ina Ruth and Jack Huddleston, Horse Creek Community; and four grandchildren, Meg Burnett, John Tyler Bowman, Tate Nolen, and Tanner Nolen. Pallbearers were Mike Stephens, Tom Stephens, Ed Stephens, Floyd Earl Story, John Story, David Story, Leon Story, Charles Stephens, and Jimmy Beaty.

William Ernest Tilson
Mr. William Ernest Tilson, 86, died Saturday, September 8, 2002 at Alive Hospice of Nashville. He was retired from General Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Tilson; and other family members. Roesch Patton Austin Bracey & Charlton of Nashville was in charge of local arrangements. Scarlett-Mowen Funeral Home in association with Hillcrest Memorial Gardens of Owosso, MI, provided funeral arrangements.

Bertha Lucille Watkins Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lucille Watkins Bilbrey, 80, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2000, from Livingston Church of Christ with Bro. Paul Holland officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bilbrey, a retired nurse's aid at Imperial Manor Nursing Home, died Friday, February 18, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born May 9, 1919, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Balie and Mona (Swift) Ogletree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Watkins; a son, Jimmy Watkins; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Watkins.

She was a member of Livingston Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bailey and Karen Watkins, Livingston, and Rick Watkins, Watertown; a daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Carl Rogers, Livingston; a daughter-in-law, Louise Watkins, Hendersonville; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Clifton Moredock, Livingston; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Richard and Krystal Rogers, Livingston; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jennifer and Kevin Cauley; and a great grandson, Justin Rogers, Livingston. Pallbearers were Dale Klein, Riley Johnson, David Dickerson, Charles Franklin, Bill Thomas, and Ray Gilpatrick.

David Chester Howell
Funeral services for Mr. David Chester Howell, 64, of the Allred Community, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2000, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home with Bro. Benny Sells and Bro. Cleston Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Howell, a retired carpenter, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born November 5, 1935, in Overton County, he was the son of Rubye (Smith) Howell and the late Pleas Howell.

He was a member of the Shiloh Lodge #637 in Crawford and a member of the VFW.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Mary Frances Howell, Allred, and Van and Burglene Howell, Oneida; two special nieces, Tonia Howell Duke, Livingston, and Vanesia (Howell) Koger, Oneida; and three special great nephews, Emery Duke, Livingston, Trey Koger, and Tyler Koger, both of Oneida.

Pallbearers were Allen Linder, Brent Linder, Roger Koger, Jason Duke, Cleston Ledbetter, and Buster Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Trey Koger, Tyler Koger, Emery Duke, Darrell Linder, Carl Smith, Kenneth Smith, and Charles Smith.

Edith V. Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith V. Bilbrey, 94, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Halliburton officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home of Livingston in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bilbrey, a retired postmistress with the Timothy Post Office, died Sunday, February 13, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born November 4, 1905, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Addis C. and Martha Jane "Mattie" Moore Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death be her husband, John Edmond 'Edd' Bilbrey.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Bilbrey, Manchester, Lansford Bilbrey, and Carmon Bilbrey both of Livingston; three daughters, Bertice Crenshaw, Ft. Worth, TX, Sue Copeland, and Kay Killmon both of Livingston; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
