Clara Anna Thompson
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Anna Thompson, 71, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Comer McGuire officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson, a hospital kitchen worker, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at her home. Born July 30, 1928, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Shapin and Delilah (Copeland) Raines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Joe Thompson. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Joe Thompson, Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Joe Poston, Sevierville; a sister, Dorothy Looper, Dry Hollow community; and four grandchildren, Derrick Poston, Valerie Loveday, Rebecca Poston, and Katie Poston.
Pallbearers were Leon Raines, Phillip Raines, Jerry Key, Wayne Key, Tommy Thompson, and Stanley Thompson.
Carl Ray Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mr. Carl Ray Bilbrey, 61, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch and Rev. Keith Linder officiating. Burial was in Cash cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bilbrey died Saturday, Sept. 21 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a sawmill worker and of the Baptist faith.
Born September 9, 1941, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Overton and Carrie Lee (Dillion) Bilbrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virgina Lee Bilbrey.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Bilbrey and Billy Ray and Kimmie Lee Bilbrey, all of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Billy Murphy, Livingston; five brothers, Harold Bilbrey, Hilham, Bobby Steve Bilbrey, Rickman, and Teddy Roger Bilbrey, Glen Howard Bilbrey, and Thomas Randell Bilbrey, all of Livingston; three sisters, Mary Catherine Smith, Livingston, Margret Brown, Gainesboro, and Betty Davis, Cookeville; an aunt, Pauline Bilbrey; three grandsons; and one step granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Bruce Dixon, Adam Daniels, Randall Stamps, Shane Breeding, Phillip Murphy, and Jonathan Fisher.
Charles Leon Cravens
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Leon Cravens, 66, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Daily officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cravens died Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a masonary worker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Born December 23, 1935, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Clester and Illa (Savage) Cravens.
Survivors include a step-son, Tim Walker, Allons; three stepdaughters, Janice Ledbetter, Timothy Community, Sharon Hogue, Allons, and Diann Walker, Livingston; two brothers, Bobby Cravens, Rickman, and Bennie Cravens, Anderson, IN; a sister, Clara Johnson, Scottsville, KY; and former wife, Jimmie Cravens, Allons.
Pallbearers were Billy Johnson, Larry Johnson, Jimmie Johnson, Bobby Cravens, Jamie Cravens, and David Cravens.
Gilbert Earl Evans
Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert Earl Evans, 78, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, from the chapel of Crestlawn Funeral Home in Byrdstown with Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Edgefield cemetery. Crestlawn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Evans died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a carpenter and served in the United States Navy as Seaman, First Class, during WWII. He was a member of Byrdstown First Christian Church.
Born August 9, 1924, he was the son of the late Fox and Dona Mae Lee Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son; an infant sister; and an infant grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Evans, Byrdstown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy E. Lee, Pall Mall, and Glenda and Richard Fout, Knoxville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Cassie Evans, Monroe, and Nelson Wayne Evans, Byrdstown; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Allen Lee, Martin Evans, Nathaniel Fout, Daniel Fout, Jody Evans, and John Harlan Lee.
Caddie Reba Hunter
Funeral services for Mrs. Caddie Reba Hunter, 88, of Rickman, were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, from Zion Hill United Methodist Church. Burial was in Hunter Cove cemetery with Rickman-Hall Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hunter died Thursday, Sept. 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Born December 10, 1913, in Allons, she was the daughter of the late J.Y. Spicer Sr. and Florence Simms Spicer.
Survivors include her husband, Haskell Clyde Hunter, Rickman; three sons, Glenn Hunter, Gallant, AL, Dwane Hunter, Hendersonville, and Larry Hunter, Lebanon; a daughter, Joyace Jackson, Columbia, SC; a sister, Lois Defazio, Overpark, KS; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brian Hunter, Jon Hunter, Michael Hunter, Steve Pickett, John Ward, Ethan Jackson, and Devin Kennemore.
Sarah Ann Kyle
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ann Kyle, 88, of Hilham, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kyle died Sunday, Sept. 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Born October 13, 1913, in Willow Grove, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Sally (Worley) Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Kyle.
Survivors include three sons, R.E. Kyle, Hilham, Jack Kyle, Americas, GA, and Houston Kyle, Celina; a daughter, Sally Davis, Hilham; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
William Bruce Langford
Funeral services for Mr. William Bruce Langford, 41, of Watertown, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating. Burial will be in Eckels cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Langford died Sunday, Sept. 29 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was a welder and affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Born November 2, 1960, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of Nancy Louise (Matthews) Langford Ramsey of Watertown and the late William C. Langford. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lou Langford.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a brother Edward Langford; and three sisters, Elaine Hammock, Gainesboro, Willa Himes, Watertown, and Katherine Evitts, Ridgetop.
Kenneth McDonald

Mr. McDonald died Thursday, Sept. 26 at his home. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Born May 13, 1924, in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Enos and Ada (Fowler) McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Mazelle (Lowe) McDonald, Crossville; four daughters, Shirley Stone, Stockbridge, GA, Phylis McLeroy, Nashville, Janice Crabtree, Crossville, and Debbie Woody, Kingston; a son, Gary McDonald, Kingsport; a brother, Kermit McDonald, Crossville; two sisters, Mavis Norrod and Avis McDonald, both of Livingston; and four grandchildren.
J.B. Peek

Mr. Peek died Thursday, Sept. 26 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a construction worker and of the Baptist faith.
Born January 31, 1923, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Irvin and Sytha Lee (Warren) Peek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joetta Smith; a son, Randy Peek; four brothers, Tilmon Peek, Junior Peek, Clyde Peek, and Charlie Peek; and two sisters, Nettie Dillon and Ruby Crabtree.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly (Walker) Peek, Livingston; five daughters, Kathy Langford and Irene Flowers, both of Livingston, Betty Sue Matthews, Rickman, and Carolyn Vanover and Darlene Pile, both of Kentucky; seven sons, Charles Peek, Rickman, Wayne Peek, Livingston, Harold Peek, Monroe, and Bill Peek, Roy Peek, Bobby Peek, and Donnie Peek, all of Kentucky; a sister, Willette Shults, Detroit, MI; 35 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Ross Pullias
Memorial services for Mrs. Elizabeth Ross Pullias, 91, of Livingston, were conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Nolen Cantrell officiating. Burial services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Green Hill cemetery. Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pullias died Saturday, Sept. 28 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was an executive secretary and a member of the Tulip Street Methodist Church in Nashville.
Born June 28, 1922, in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of the late Allen Henson and Annie E. (Ross) Beal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Horace Pullias Sr.; a daughter, Juanita Chilton; a brother, Frank Ross; and a sister, Mary Ross.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Joyce Beal Allison, Lebanon; and special friends, Lucille Crabtree Reagan and Sonya Nivens, both of Livingston, and Mitize Johnson, Monroe.
Billy Millard Westmoreland
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Millard Westmoreland, 65, of Celina, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, from Celina Church of Christ with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Fitzgerald cemetery with Upton Funeral Home of Celina in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Westmoreland died Monday, Sept. 30 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He attended college and was a professional fisherman in the TV media. He was inducted into Fresh Water Fisherman Hall of Fame and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Born June 3, 1937, in Celina, he was the son of the late Irene Poindexter and Lester Westmoreland.
Survivors include his wife, Jane (Sutton) Westmoreland, Celina; a step-daughter, Penny Robinson, Boston, MA; a brother, Bobby Westmoreland, Celina; and a sister, Shirley Nelson, Alamo, CA.
Richard Anderson Winningham

Mr. Winningham died Monday, Sept. 30 at his home. He was a tool and dye maker for Guide Corporation of General Motors for 36 years. He was a member of the AMVETS Brian Simpson Post and UAW 663, ABA.
Born June 25, 1939, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Lester Sr. and Ruby (Maxfield) Winningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pheonicia Winningham; a father-in-law, Robert A. Renner; and a brother-in-law, Joseph R. Renner.

Born December 4, 1933, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Eulis and Johnnie (Bilbrey) Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mayhew Carter and Paul Carter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Clarice Young Carter, Livingston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Owen C. "Red" and Pauline Carter and Eulis M. Jr. and Betty Carter; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Naomi Poll, Gardner, IL, Sue Reed Jones and Jerry Jones, Cookeville, and Emogene Fletcher Pryor and Allard Pryor, Allons; a godson, Andrew Looper; and several nieces and nephews.
