Funeral services for Mr. James E. Baker, 69, of West Chester, OH, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, November 8, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Baker, a truck driver, died November 4, 2000, at his home.
Born August 18, 1931, in Lamar Co., TX, he was the son of the late Emmitt and Nellie (Irons) Baker. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Nellberta Baker, West Chester,OH; a daughter, Amber Reed Jackson, Hamilton, OH; two brothers, Edgar Baker, Vallent, OK, and Don Baker, Oklahoma City, OK; and a grandson, Anthony James Jackson, Hamilton, OH.
Pauline (Hargis) Reed
Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline (Hargis) Reed, 73, of Hanging Limb, were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2000, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey with Rev. Tony Barnett and Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in the Phillips cemetery in Hanging Limb with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Reed died Friday, November 3, 2000, at her home.
Born February 10, 1927, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Ruben Hargis of Hanging Limb and the late Bertha (Sisco) Hargis. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Reed, and two brothers, Charles Hargis and Clyde Hargis.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cornetta and Doug Brown, Hanging Limb, and Nancy and Randell Eldridge, Monterey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Sue Reed, Monterey, and Ronnie and Charlotte Reed, Cookeville; three sisters, Juanita Reed, Hanging Limb, Geneva Simpson, Wallins Creek, KY, and Betty Cleghorn, Algood; four brothers, Homer Hargis and Otis Hargis, both of Hanging Limb, Claude Hargis, Cookeville, and Danny Hargis, Monterey; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Mossie NaomiI (Williams) Storie
Funeral services for Mrs. Mossie Naomi (Williams) Storie, 79, of Pall Mall, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2000, at Williams Chapel Church with Bro. Randy Tompkins and Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Williams Chapel cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Storie, a homemaker and factory worker, died Saturday, November 4, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Born April 16, 1921, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cora (Rains) Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche; two brothers, Ray Williams and Paul Williams; and a great granddaughter, Emmy Anderson.
She was a member of Williams Chapel Church.
Survivors include her husband, Darwin Carlos Storie, Pall Mall; a daughter and son-in-law, Gwenith and Sonny Anderson, Pall Mall; two sons and daughters-in-law, Vern and Linda Storie, Monroe, and Larry and Judy Storie, Byrdstown; a sister, Louise West, Pall Mall; a brother, Don Williams, Pall Mall; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Shawn Storie, Scott Storie, Larry Roberts, Chris Storie, Carey Storie, James Sells, and James Anderson.
Ernest I. Allred
Masonic services for Mr. Ernest I. Allred, 86, of Livingston, were conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, from Flanner and Buchannon Mortuary in Indianapolis, IN. Burial was in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Zionsville, IN, with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Allred died Thursday, Oct. 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a group leader at Talbott Eli Lily. A veteran of the U.S. Navy on the USS Eaton, he was a member of Monroe Christian Church, Livingston Lodge #259, Murat Temple Shrine of Indianapolis, Scottish Rite Valley of Indiana, and the American Legion.
Born October 8, 1916, in Helena, TN, he was the son of the late Porter and Mildred (Smith) Allred. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Larry J. Megenhardt; a brother, Gomer Allred; a sister, Florine Rogers; and a niece and her husband, Pearl and Don King.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Allred, Livingston; a sister, Lela Stawicki, Valparaiso,IN; a sister-in-law, Frankie Allred, Carmel, IN; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ollie Emmaline (Clark) Barnes
Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Emmaline (Clark) Barnes, 82, of Livingston, and formerly of the Barnes Ridge Ridge Community of Pickett County, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. J.D. McDonald officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Barnes died Friday, Oct. 11 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and member of Antioch Church of Christ and loved quilting and embroidering.
Born June 27, 1920, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late William Epp "Bill Epp" and Annie (Linder) Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Barnes; a son, Richard Barnes; a daughter, Brenda Beaty; and two brothers, Willie D. Clark and Clois Clark.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Barnes, Monroe; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Werner, Penny Sells, Melissa Sells, Scott Cyphers, Amy Nealon, Stacy Barnes, and Stephanie Barnes; six great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Ona Rae (Masters) Christenson

Mrs. Christenson died Sunday, Oct. 6 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a retired auto factory employee and a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church.
Born January 3, 1915, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ransey and Maggie (Ray) Masters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Christenson; a sister, Brenda Spivey; and three brothers, Paul Masters, Howard Masters, and Dee Masters.
Survivors include a step-son, Jack Christenson, Cape Coral, FL; three sisters, Nell Deck, Livingston, Ruth Burgess, Akron, OH, and Eileen Bechtold, North Manchester, IN; a brother, Bobby Masters, Jamestown; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Elizabeth "Betty' Coleman

Mrs. Coleman died Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a registered nurse, a member of Livingston First Christian Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Born October 26, 1921, in Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Margaret Elizabeth (Wehrle) Keefe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Rose.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Coleman, Livingston; a son, Ken Stephens, Crossville; two step-sons, Johnny Fred Coleman and Jim Coleman, both of Livingston; two daughters, Barbara Buckner and Sue Winningham, both of Tullahoma; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Walter Fowski, Easton, CT; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 special friends, Jane Gaw, Lucille Hyder, Wanda Stephens, and Delores Turnbull.

George Thomas Dillon
Funeral services for Mr. George Thomas Dillon, 64, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Rev. Ron Phillips officiating. Burial will be in New Hope cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Dillon died Monday, Oct. 14 at Bethesda Healthcare Center. He worked in food service and was of the Penecostal faith.
Born September 1, 1938, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Willie and Sarah (Cox) Dillon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Allen) Dillon; two brothers, Vogue Dillon and Lee Dillon; and two sisters, Mary Lou Dillon and Vernie Leffew.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Dillon, Cookeville; a sister, Inez Harris, Jackson County; and three grandchildren, Rachel Dillon, Nathan Dillon, and Shawn Dillon. Members of his family served as pallbearers.
Roy Edward Gibbons
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Edward Gibbons, 79, of Algood, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, from Washington Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Fate Wilson officiating. Burial was in Algood City cemetery with Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home of Cookeville in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Gibbons died Saturday, Oct. 12 at his home. He was an ordained deacon and an active member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. A retired rural road supervisor, he served more than 33 years for the State of Tennessee Highway Department. He was also retired from Putnam County Highway Department with more than 20 years of service. He was an active member of Putnam County Democratic Party, Cookeville Masonic Lodge 266 F&AM, and Al Menah Shrine Temple. He served as superintendent of Algood City cemetery and was a funeral director's assistant with Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
Born May 5, 1923, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Lowery Ed and Erma Maude (Swallows) Gibbons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Meekle Gibbons.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Larry Eldridge and Janice and Gary Brewington, all of Algood; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Onda Gibbons, Algood; two sisters, Lillian Smith, Cookeville, and Reba Thompson, Crossville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen and Emily Pierce, Kristie and Jim Weaver, Jason Eldridge, and Barry Eldridge; and four great grandchildren, Blake Pierce, Abigail Pierce, Jimmy Weaver, and Ashley Weaver.

Vessie Irene Krall
Funeral services for Mrs. Vessie Irene Krall, 81, of Brooklyn, MI, and formerly of Dewey Lake, MI, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, from Brooklyn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Malsack officiating. Burial was in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens with Jenter & Braun Funeral Homes of Brooklyn in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Krall died Monday, Oct. 7. She was a member of Brooklyn Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, and a member of Laura Oliver Circle and Women's Presbyterian Board. She also worked on projects for the church. She was a member of Bayview Book Club, where she held an office for many years, and Eastern Star Chapter 67. She was a graduate of Livingston Academy and attended college at Tennessee Technological University.
Born November 26, 1920, in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Rissie (Dishman) Beaty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mazy Winningham; and a brother, Lloyd Beaty.
Survivors include her husband, Monroe E. Krall, Brooklyn; a son, Donnie W. Winningham, Ypsilanti, MI; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat A. and Randall Godfrey, Satellite Beach, FL, and Janet S. and Robert Clevenger, Tipton, MI; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Martha and Ed Weaver, Grand Blanc, MI; a sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Homer Norrod, Livingston; and six grandchildren.
Dora Pryor Rector

Born March 9, 1919, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Volentine Pryor and Veler Lynn Pryor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paskel Lawson; a step-daughter, Wilma Jean Morris; a sister, Neely Pryor; and three brothers, Encil Pryor, Willie Pryor, and Arvle Pryor. Born October 25, 1925, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Hall Jolley and Mary (Mullins) Jolley Melton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Collis Huddleston; and two sisters, Linda Melton and Gail Beaty.
Survivors include her husband, Cordell Roberts, Nashville; two sons, Gary Jolley, Livingston, and Wayne Huddleston, Nashville; four sisters, Jean Norrod and Shirley Garrett, both of Monroe, and Ruth Waddey and Barbara Lee, both of Livingston; five brothers, Dolphus "Doc" Jolley, Rex Melton, Kendrick Melton, and Roy Melton, all of Monroe, and Joe Melton, Anderson, IN; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Roy White

Mr. White died Monday, Sept. 30 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a construction worker and heavy equipment operator. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ and Masonic Lodge Post 259.
Born October 21, 1928, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Lela (Norris) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary White; and three brothers, Charles White, Troy White, and James White.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean (Coffman) White, Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Reagan, Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Tammy White, Livingston; a sister, Clara Jean Reed, Bridgewater, VA; four brothers, Billy Joe White, Barbarton, OH, Jerry White, Cookeville, and Tommy White and E.B. White, both of Livingston; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family members.
