Kenneth Joe Mofield
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Joe Mofield, 50, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Duke officiating. Burial was in St. John cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Mofield died Thursday, Nov. 7 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a factory worker with Berkline and a member of the Church of Christ.

Born January 4, 1952, in Overton County, he was the son of Ruby Lucille (Teeples) Mofield of Livingston and the late Fred Joe Mofield. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Shelia Mofield, Livingston; a daughter, Kimberly Barlow, Hilham; a sister, Ginger Young, Livingston; and a grandson, Ethan Anthony Barlow, Hilham.

Pallbearers were Billy Oakley, Johnny Rose, Mike Clark, John Keeton, Donnie Hill, and Deon Pincheon.

Edna Christine (Vaughn) Myers
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Christine (Vaughn) Myers, 75, of Bluffton, IN, were conducted Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, from Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery in Ossian, IN, with Goodwin Memorial Chapel in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Myers died Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Meadville Medical Center in Bluffton. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Born August 30, 1927, in Allons, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Norma Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Cal Edd Vaughn and Gorden Vaughn.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Myers, Bluffton; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Glenn Hendricks, Ossian; a son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Pam Myers, South Bend, IN; three sisters, Betty Ray, Allons, Lucille Dulworth, Bluffton, and Olen Dick, New Castle, IN; a brother, Bill Vaughn, Allons; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

John Norrod
Funeral services for Mr. John Norrod, 31, of Monterey, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Clayton Padgett officiating. Burial was in Whittaker cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Norrod died Friday, Nov. 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Hanging Limb Highway. He was an avid outdoorsman and an employee of Dacco in Cookeville, where he was a member of UAW Local 2409.

Born July 17, 1971, in Cookeville, he was the son of Roger and Wanda (Eads) Norrod of Monterey. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, John Eads and R.B. Norrod.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Mary (Smith) Norrod, Monterey; a son, Jacob Norrod, Monterey; maternal grandmother, Betty Eads, Monterey; paternal grandmother, Jessie (Norrod) Copeland, Monterey; a brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Pennie Norrod and their son, Michael, Calfkiller Community; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and George Smith, Twinton.

Sara (Bowmer) Null
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara (Bowmer) Null, 67, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday Nov. 8, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Null died Tuesday, Nov. 5 at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. She was a retired medical technologist for the U.S. Navy and then Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A retired LTJG of the U.S. Navy, she was a member of American Legion and Retired. She graduated Tennessee Technological University in 1956.

Born November 6, 1934, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Eula (Thurman) Bowmer of Livingston and the late Halsey Bowmer.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, William Null, Cookeville; and a daughter, Sara Surprenant, Colorado Springs, CO.

Pallbearers were Gene Thurman, Jim Copeland, Mac Curtis, Barry Taylor, James Crawford, and Bo Null.

Leah Estelle Taylor
Funeral services for Miss Leah Estelle Taylor, 84, of Monroe, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Dailey McCowen officiating. Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Taylor died Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a factory worker and of the Methodist faith.

Born September 26, 1918, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Stevens and Emma (Maxfield) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Winningham; and a brother, Gratton Taylor.

Survivors include two brothers, Archie Taylor and J.T. Taylor, both of Anderson, IN; and three sisters, Inez Schochtt, Byrdstown, Florence Wilson, Mansfield, OH, and Madge Ferrulli, Livermore, CA.

Minnie Vaughn Robertson
Memorial Services for Mrs. Minnie Vaughn Robertson, 73, of Cookeville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at the Whitson Chapel Church of Christ with Bro. David Vaughn and Bro. Steve Reeder officiating. Interment icon was in Falling Springs cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Robertson, a retired teacher from Overton and Jackson Counties, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born June 23, 1927, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Benton and Orangie (Allred) Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, K.B. Robertson; and six brothers, Burns Vaughn, Hillard Vaughn, Roland Vaughn, Doyle Vaughn, Danny Vaughn, and Donnie Vaughn.

She was a member of the Whitson Chapel Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sisters, Bobbie Bush, Hendersonville, and Hildegrade Vaughn, Cookeville; four brothers, Robert Vaughn, Algood, Bruce Vaughn, Savannah, GA, Joel Vaughn, Nashville, and David Vaughn, Gastonia, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Clarice Brown Tomlinson
Funeral services for Mrs. Clarice Brown Tomlinson, 73, of Bryan, OH, were conducted Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Rice Funeral Home in Bryan, OH. Rice Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Tomlinson, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Ohio.

Born July 7, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula Ayers Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Giles Tomlinson; a brother, Grady Brown; and five sisters, Grace Nivens, Ada Brown, Eunice Sullivan, Essie Hodges, and Lois West.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Steve Tomlinson, Ohio; three daughters, Judy Tomlinson, Ohio, Carol Tomlinson, California, and Mindy Tomlinson, North Carolina; a brother and sister-in-law, H.S. and Lucille Brown of the New Hope Community of Jackson County; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce Ray Sandifer
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Ray Sandifer, 58, of Cookeville, and formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Turner and Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Sandifer, a general foods factory worker, died Saturday, June 22, 2000 at her home.

Born September 8, 1941, in Overton County, she was the son of the late Thomas Ray and Josie Seber Ray.

She was a member of Trinity Assembly in Algood.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Sandifer, Cookeville; a daughter, Marti Sandifer, Cookeville; a brother, Dallas Ray, Nashville; and six sisters, Connie Cunnels, Anderson, IN, Shirley Smith and Jolene Ledbetter, both of Allons, and Helen Whited, Tommie Hensley, and Betty Davis, all of Jamestown.

Marshall Thomas Murphy
Funeral services for Mr. Marshall Thomas "Tommy" Murphy, 44, of the Waterloo Community of Overton County, will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, June 28, 2000, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home with Rev. John M. Murphy and Rev. Harold Walker officiating. Burial will be in West cemetery with Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Murphy, an avid outdoorsman, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at his home.

Born January 27, 1956, in Cookeville, he was the son of Mary Ila Ray Murphy of Cookeville and the late Virgil Murphy. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sue Murphy.

He attended Duncan's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three sisters, Marilyn Hand, Clarksville, Mary Ellen McGugin, Cookeville, and Elizabeth Ann McKinley, San Antonio, TX; and three brothers, James Murphy, Paul Murphy and John Murphy, all of Cookeville.

Pallbearers will be Harry T. McGugin III, Charles Hand Jr., Patrick McKinley III, Jimmy Ray Murphy, Brice Murphy, Lake Murphy, and Jamie Phipps.

Martha Zelmar Booher
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Zelmar Booher, 105, of Allons, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Clayton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Booher died Friday, Oct. 25 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. She was a housewife and affiliated with the Baptist church.

Born October 5, 1897, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late William Wesley and Elray (Daniels) Boykin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Henry B. Mayberry and Willie A. Booher; and six brothers, including C.B. Boykin and Walter Cleo Boykin.

Survivors include a niece, Lula Bell Fields, Cookeville; two nephews, E.C. Boykin, Warren, MI, and Robert Boykin, St. Clair Shores, MI; six great nieces; one great nephew; eight great-great nieces; two great-great nephews; three great-great-great nieces; three great-great-great nephews; and two special friends, Raymond Colson and Ruby Davis. Family members served as pallbearers.

Fred Dailey
Funeral services for Mr. Fred Dailey, 65, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with John Dailey officiating. Burial was in Teeples cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Dailey died Friday, Oct. 25 at his home. He was a factory worker with Hutchinson. Born November 22, 1936, in Celina, he was the son of the late Thomas Dailey and Iva Lee Dulworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Stevie Wade Dailey and Freda Ann Dailey.

Survivors include a son, Jamie Dailey, Monticello, KY; a daughter, Rhonda Dailey, Gainesboro; two brothers, Charlie Dailey and Troy Dailey, both of Celina; four sisters, Louise Wall, Lebanon, Jean Head, Celina, Edith Smith, Livingston, and Linda Falley, Cookeville; and three grandchildren, Holly Dailey, Paul Dailey, and Nikki Dailey.

Gregory Lynn Hunley
Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Lynn Hunley, 38, were conducted at noon, Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, from the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Stephens officiating. Burial was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Hermitage Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Born August 13, 1964, in Nashville, he was the son of Roger Hunley and the late Justine Hunley.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife Sherry Hunley; a son, Jeremy Hunley; a step-son, Jake Messer; a daughter, Carlie Hunley; a step-daughter, April Messer; his step-mother, Joyce Hunley; his grandparents, Wilbur C. and Anna Lee Smith, Livingston; and a brother, Derek Hunley. Friends of Mr. Hunley served as pallbearers.

Mary Elizabeth Keith
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Keith, 86, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Larry Keith and Bro. Joseph Hodges officiating. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Keith died Monday, Oct. 21 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. She was a retired factory worker with Chrysler Corporation and was affiliated with Cookeville Church of God.

Born November 23, 1915, in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel (Rosebery) Fry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Huey Keith Sr.; and two grandchildren, James Henry Keith III and Daniel Keith.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Huey Jr. and Katherine Keith, Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Keith) and David Gentry, Cookeville; a half-sister, Marie Stocksdale, Crawfordsville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Tara Gentry Price, Dustin Gentry, Larry Keith, Sandy Walleman, Debbie Fortuna, David Keith, Mike Keith, and Marybeth Ervin; a step-granddaughter, Tina Simpson, 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Keith's grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
