Mr. Horace 'Button' Young

Funeral services for Mr. Horace 'Button' Young, age 74, of Hughey Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, February 3, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted Monday, February 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens with full military Honors. Mr. Young was a native of Beech Grove, TN, son of the late Horace & Daisy Rogers Young, a retired machinist for Jones Welding, an Army Corporal, a member of the County Line Baptist Church in Moore County, where he served as Deacon for over 40 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Rachel Young; 1 daughter: Leeann Holston; 1 son: Paul Young; 4 grandchildren: Amanda Faye Young, Philip Ward Young, Rebecca Holland Holston, Troy Garrett Holston. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Tommy L. Gurley

Funeral services for Mr. Tommy L. Gurley, age 48, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted graveside Friday, February 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in Unity Cemetery with Shane Wilbanks officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gurley was a native of Huntsville, AL, son of the late Ernest L. & Erma Gurley and a member of the Victory Chapel Church. Survivors include 2 sisters: Gail Wilbanks of Fayetteville, TN, Kay Morton of Huntsville, AL; 1 brother: Allen Maxwell of Huntsville, AL and numerous other family and friends.

Mrs. Mildred West

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred West, age 85, of Taft, TN, who passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Whitesburg Garden in Huntsville, AL, will be conducted Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. West was a native of Lincoln Co., daughter of the late Ben Henry & Lena Lewter Hardin, a seamstress and a member of the New Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter: Charlotte Greer of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren: Kevin Brown of Taft, TN, Leah Greer of Ardmore, AL; sister: Corrinne Smith of Taft, TN; 7 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Bro. Carl K. Wainscott

Funeral Mr. services for Bro. Carl K. Wainscott, age 72, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Monday, February 13, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Caldwell Chapel Church of God with Bro Winfred Stayton, Bro. Ennis Hyman, Bro. Dollar & Bro. Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery. Bro. Wainscott was a native of Lockland, OH, son of the late Carl & Rena Hayes Wainscott, minister of the Caldwell Chapel Church of God, a member of the Gum Springs Baptist Church, a substitute teacher in Lincoln Co., a teacher in Kentucky, a gospel singer and musician and archived in England as a ministers minister. Along with his parents, Bro. Wainscott was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Carla Brannon, Patricia Burchfield, 1 brother: Norman Wainscott. Survivors include his wife: Delores Wainscott of Kelso, TN; 2 daughters: Tamera Webb of Cresthill, IL, Lori Wainscott of Kelso, TN; sons-in-law: Kenneth L. Webb & Dennis Brannon; future son-in-law: Ricky Anyan; 2 sisters: Ann Blanton of Titusville, FL, Reva Joyce Staubs of Cocoa, FL; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Caldwell Chapel Church of God.

Mrs. Robbie Ann Puckett

Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Ann Puckett, age 69, of Ardmore, TN, who passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006 in the Sunbridge Care Center, will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cothren & Rev. James Holt. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Puckett was a native of Lincoln Co., daughter of the late Garland & Ethel Collins Bryant, a housewife and a member of the Kelly's Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include 4 sons: Wayne Pardon of Ardmore, TN, Ricky Pardon of Prospect, TN, Donnie Pardon of Ardmore, TN, Billy Joe Bryant of Hazel Green, AL; 1 sister: Ophelia O'Neal of Fayetteville, TN; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Larry Creel

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Creel, age 67, of Taft, TN, who passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 at Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday, February 20, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Charity Cemetery with Rev. John Ben Neal officiating. Mr. Creel was a native of Birmingham, AL, son of the late Kazan & Marion Moore Creel, a machine maintenance operator and a Green Beret Special Forces trained at Fort Campbell. Survivors include his wife: Sandra Moss Creel of Taft, TN; 1 step-daughter: Shannon Richardson of Winchester, TN; 2 step-sons: Jason Simmons of Flintville, TN, Jamie Simmons of Fayetteville, TN; 4 step-grandchildren: Paige Richardson, Dakota Richardson, Destiny Simmons, Madison Simmons; 2 brothers: Donnie Creel & Joe Creel of Galveston, TX. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Geraldine Couch

Memorial services for Mrs. Geraldine Couch, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, February 20, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. As a young lady, Mrs. Couch traveled to San Diego, CA and worked for an Aircraft Manufacturing company during WWII. She was a teacher and was married to Otis Raymond Couch. They were the former owners of the Hwy. 64 Drive-In and Piggly Wiggly Grocery. She was a member of the  Washington St. Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 sons: Dennis Ray Couch and Tommy J. Couch both of Fayetteville, TN; 1 grandson: Dylan Couch and 1 brother: Karl Farrar of Mobile, AL. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elnore Daniel

Funeral services for Mrs. Elnore Daniel, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Hospice of West Palm Beach County, will be conducted Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Daniel was a native of Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Carl Anderson & the late Ruby Sterling Anderson, a telephone receptionist, a member of the Quilter's Guild, Easter Star & the Jobe Starters, and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: Glen 'Dink' Daniel of Fayetteville, TN; 2 daughters: Carolee & Carl Aschenbrenner of Lake in the Hills, IL, Noralee & Donnie Lipscomb of West Palm Beach, FL; 1 son: Karl H. & Lisa Steuer of Estill Springs, TN; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Georgia Groce Epps

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Groce Epps, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Lincoln Skill Care Center, will be conducted graveside Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Mrs. Epps was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late George A. & Mattie Lane Groce, a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her brother: G.A. Groce of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jessie L. Posey

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. Posey, age 92, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Monday, February 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bevills Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Berry & Rev. James Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow in Bevills Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Posey was a native of Madison Co., AL, daughter of the late Joe D. & Lillie Bell Guy Pierce, a housewife, an Avon representative for 50 years, and a member of the Bevills Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Charles & Helen V. Mayes of Huntsville, AL, Lloyd & Jean Preston of Hazel Green, AL; granddaughters: Sherry Mayes, Terrie Preston both of Hazel Green, AL, Pam Bouslog of Huntsville, AL; great grandchildren: Shawn Casebolt, Shannon Hayes, April Balch, Nathan Barnes, Allison Bouslog, Sarah Bouslog; 1 sister: Ruth Miller of Hazel Green, AL; several nieces & nephews and a host of relative and friends. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Bobby Martin

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Martin, age 69, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Mr. Martin was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Will & Emma English Martin, owner of Martin Disposal, a US Air Force veteran and a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Carloyn Martin of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons: Bobby Darryl Martin, Jimmy John Martin both of Fayetteville, TN; 4 daughters: Stephanie Carol Roberts of Fayetteville, TN, Jackie Darlene Eakes of Taft, TN, Kimberly Jane Little, Barbara Ann Martin both of Fayetteville, TN; 2 brothers: Pat Martin of Union Grove, AL, Jack Martin of Taft, TN; 2 sisters: Sadie Bolch, Nora Cartwright both of Fayetteville, TN; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
