Walter F. Pippin
Funeral services for Mr. Walter F. Pippin, 84, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2000, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Crestlawn cemetery in Putnam County with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr Pippin died Thursday, December 7, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was a coal miner and a member of the Slate Springs Baptist Church.

Born March 6, 1916, he was the son of the late Asberry Loftis Pippin and Sina (Vaughn) Pippin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Garrett) Pippin; two sons, Jessie Carroll Pippin and William Bruce Pippin; and four sisters, Laura Garrison, Willie McCown, Virgie Baylock, and Ruth Bowman.

Survivors include four daughters, Lola Finley, Crossville, Debra Creighton, Nashville, Frances Loftis, Rickman, and Wilma Selby, Crossville; three sons, A.J. Pippin and Walter Pippin Jr., both of Cookeville, and Lanny Pippin, Dayton, OH; a brother, James Pippin, Crossville; a sister, Mary Garrison, Monterey; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Greg Pippin, Chris Pippin, Randy Selby, Larry Selby, Daniel Reed, and Bobby Parker.

Gertrude Livingston
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Livingston, 87, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Rickman, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2000, at Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Burial was in the Harris Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Livingston, a grocery store co-owner, died Monday, December 4, 2000, at her home.

Born February 26, 1913, in Overton County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Livingston.

She was a member of the Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Norman and Velma Livingston, Dayton, and Hugh and Joann Livingston, Rickman; and seven grandchildren, Debra Agee, Angela Dixon, Gale Gibbons, Timothy Gibbons, Damian L. Livingston, Greg Livingston, and Bret Livingston.

Pallbearers were Damon Livingston, Gregory Livingston, Bret Livingston, Tim Livingston, Dale Gibbons, and Roy Agee.

Gary Nuel Key
Funeral services for Mr. Gary Nuel Key, 29, of Knoxville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with James Schaver officiating. Burial was in the Key-Killmon cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Key died Tuesday, December 5, 2000, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was a carpenter and affiliated with the Pentacostal church.

Born November 24, 1971, in Livingston, he was the son of Kenneth Key of Livingston and the late Rosie (Dailey) Key.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include two brothers, Steve Key, Celina, and Larry Key, Ft. Campbell, KY; and a sister, Tammy Key, Tullahoma.

Pallbearers were Marckus Copeland, Jimmy Goad, Josh Hayes, David Goad, Lucian Finch, and Larry Himlick.

Nancy Ollie Belle Johnson
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Ollie Belle Johnson, 85, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Ronnie Parsons officiating. Burial was in the Key-Killmon cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, December 7, 2000, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Born July 28, 1915, in Celina, she was the daughter of the late John Albert and Ida Mae (Adams) Key. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Spencer "Penny" Johnson; a son, Waymon Johnson; three daughters, Olene Key, Maggie Tencie Goad, and Bonnie Key; and two grandsons, Thomas Johnson and Spencer Johnson.

Survivors include six sons, Jody Johnson and Hubert 'White Owl' Johnson, both of Celina, Robert Johnson, Bloomington, IN, Mackie Odell Johnson and Billy Johnson, both of Livingston, and Roy Johnson, Moss; three daughters, Betsy Wilson and Lola Johnson, both of Celina, and Ruby Beechboard, Gainesboro; a sister, Roxie Daniels, Gainesboro; 35 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Otha B. Honeycutt
Funeral services for Mrs. Otha B. Honeycutt, 73, of Rickman, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2000, from Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Hoyt Looper and Rev. Clayton Lee officiating. Burial was in the Harris Chapel cemetery in Rickman with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Honeycutt died Sunday, December 10, 2000, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was a housewife and a member of the Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Rickman.

Born May 1, 1927, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Shirley and Magnolia (Livingston) Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hershel Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Claudell Honeycutt, Rickman; a son, Carl Honeycutt, Rickman; a daughter, Sharon Soaper, Nashville; a brother, Douglas Walker, Rickman; two sisters, Viekle Qualls, Rickman and Essie Vollenhals, Alexandra,IN; four grandchildren, Lee Bilbrey, Kristen Dickson, Andrea Honeycutt, and Amber Honeycutt; and two great grandchildren, Makynna and Katie Beth Bilbrey.

Pallbearers were Terry Walker, Edward Walker, Robert Walker, Bruce Walker, Larry Walker, and Richard Qualls.

Grace K. Holshue
Funeral services for Miss Grace K. Holshue, 36, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bary Ray officiating. Burial was in the Mathis Family cemetery in the O'Neal Community with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Holshue died Monday, December 4, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Born April 4, 1964, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Gladys Tuckett Holshue Mathis of Livingston and the late Edward L. Holshue.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her grandmother, Grace Brown, Columbus, OH; a brother, Dennis Harmon, Livingston, two sisters, Laura Johnson and Rebecca Booher, both of Livingston; six nieces; and three nephews.

Willie Cordell Daniels
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Cordell Daniels, 87, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Bill Coe officiating. Burial was in the Williams cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Daniels died Saturday, December 9, 2000, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

He was a farmer and affiliated with the Church of God.

Born August 23, 1913, in Celina, he was the son of the late Joe M. and Sarah Lou Daniels.

Survivors include a brother, Clifford Daniels, Lebanon.

Thomas F. Eaves Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas F. Eaves Sr., 68, of Cookeville, were conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, from Algood Church of Christ with James Watkins, Mike Glenn, James Boyd, and Kent Bailey officiating. Burial was at 10 a.m. Friday, December 24, 1999, in Crest Lawn Memorial cemetery with James Cossey officiating. Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Eaves, a minister since 1952, died Tuesday, December 21, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Hospital. Born December 17, 1931, in Chattanooga, he was the son of the late Fearl and Fannie Ruth (Fore) Eaves. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and he served in the U. S. Air Force. He was the Chaplain (LTC) of the Civil Air Patrol and the Cookeville District of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and he was the Chaplain and Drug Education Officer for the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. He was a Mission Evangelist currently under the oversight of the Elders of the Lenoir City Church of Christ, and he has worked in the Philippine Islands and the countries of Canada, Pakistan, Russia, the Ukraine, Hungary, and India. For numerous years, he was involved in training young men to become gospel preachers. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Kirby) Eaves, Cookeville; a son, Thomas F. 'Tommy' Eaves Jr., Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tricia and David Atkins, Hilham; a sister, Mary Jo Sanders, Nashville; a grandson, Justin Parker, Colleyville, TX; a step-grandson, Anthony Atkins, Hilham; and nieces and nephews.

Katie B. Hammons
Funeral services for Mrs. Katie B. Hammons, 87, of Overton County, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 1999, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Comer McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Okalona cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Hammons, a homemaker, died Sunday, December 26, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born May 13, 1912, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Zula (Bowman) Tayse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Milton Hammons; a stillborn infant; and a brother, Carles Tayes. She was a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church. Survivors include a niece; two nephews; and a host of cousins.

Janice W. Johnson
Funeral services for Mrs. Janice W. Johnson, 69, of Marion, IN, were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, from North Chapel with Rev. Megan Traquair officiating. Burial was in Grant Memorial Park with Needham-Storey Funeral Service and North Chapel in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, a retired LPN for Bradner Village Health Care where she was Assistant Director of Nursing for 10 years, died Monday, December 20, 1999, at her home.

Born October 4, 1930, in Muncie, IN, she was the daughter of the late James R. Sr. and Nell (Wray) Claxon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett J. McGreevy Jr.; a brother, James R. Claxon Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Gretchen Schultz and Susan Johnson; and a grandson, John Matthew McGreevy.

She was a member of the Woman of the Moose, Marion; American Legion Auxillary, Post 313; Amvets Auxillary, Post 5; and was past president of American Heart Association of Grant County. She was also a member of the PEI Sorority.

Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Johnson, Marion, IN; three sons, Joseph W. McGreevy, Piedmont, SC, Kenneth R. McGreevy Sr., Kailua, HA, and James T. McGreevy, Cicero, IN; a daughter, Jan May, Allons; two step-sons, Robert Charles Johnson, Marion, IN, and Phillip Johnson, Oswego, IN; a step daughter, Cindy Cain, Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Jane Cull, Muncie, IN, and Betty Bender, Marion, IN; three sisters-in-law, Marty Claxon, Fairmount, IN, Marsha Roach, Horsehead, NY, and Janet Warner, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Robert W. Little
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wesley Little, 86, of Cookeville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, from the chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home in Cookeville, with Rev. Woodward A. Adams Jr. and Rev. Tom Halliburton officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial cemetery in Nashville with Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Little, a retired plant manager of Cookville Industries, died Tuesday, December 21, 1999, at his home.

Born October 21, 1913, in Frenchburg, KY, he was the son of the late Peter L. and Ninnie (Kendrick) Little. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Frances (Blu) Little; three sisters, Clara Frisby, Betty Lee, and Bertha Proctor; and two brothers, William Little and Marvin Little.

He was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church and a member of the Backsliders Sunday School Class.

He was a charter member of the Cookeville Kiwanis Club, Cookeville American Legion Post #46, a member of the Auxillary Volunteers at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, and a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Maura and Gene Medley, Livingston; and two grandchildren, Rob Medley and Allison Medley, both of Livingston.

Pallbearers were W. R. Medley, Rob Medley, W. E. Holford, Dewey Lewis, O. T. Estes, Arthur Hair, and Clarence Palk Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Cookeville Kiwanis Club and the Backsliders Class at First United Methodist Church.

Auda Qualls
Graveside services for Mrs. Auda Qualls, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, from Coffee cemetery with Bro. Tilford Gunnels officiating. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Qualls, a housewife, died Sunday, December 19, 1999, at Overton County Nursing Home.

Born April 1, 1914, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Alice Smith Coffee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isacc Qualls.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Earl Dewey Frazier
Funeral services for Mr. Earl Dewey Frazier, 87, of Cookeville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 1999, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Raymond White officiating. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Frazier, a retired factory worker, died Thursday, December 23, 1999, at Masters Health Care Center.

Born June 12, 1912, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late John and Malgy (Maynard) Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Frazier, Hobert Frazier, and Sears Frazier; and three sisters, Hazel Molder, Louise Bradford, and Wilma Frazier.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Jane 'Janie' Frazier, Cookeville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Shirley Frazier, and Don and Cindy Frazier, all of Algood, Richard and Jo Ann Frazier, Bartlett, Fred and Erin Frazier, Layfayette; a brother, Theron Frazier, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Frazier, Don Frazier, Fred Frazier, Jimmy Frazier, Richard Frazier, and Richard Frazier, Jr.
