Bobbie Jean Key
Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Key, 70, of Twinton, will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Tony Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Welch Memorial cemetery in Monterey with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Key died Monday, Aug. 26 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a nurse's aide and of the Baptist faith.

Born May 18, 1932, in Twinton, she was the daughter of the late Webster Lee and Elizabeth (Landers) Claghorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Buster" Key; a daughter, Sandra Voiles; a son, Roger Key; a sister, Reba Vaughn; and two brothers, Jim and Claghorn JR. Claghorn.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Nancy Eldridge, Monterey; a son-in-law, Kenneth Voiles, Anderson, IN; two sisters, Treva Payton and Rosemary Hagerman, both of Anderson, IN; two grandchildren, Brent Key and Blake Key, both of Monterey; and a special friend, Bobbye Gipson, Twinton.

Vassel B. Ledford
Funeral services for Mr. Vassel B. Ledford, 86, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. John Copeland officiating. Burial was in Jones cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ledford died Saturday, Aug. 24 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a factory worker, a farmer, and affiliated with Grace Baptist Church in Alpine.

Born March 27, 1916, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Elmer Ledford and Corinthia (Jones) Ledford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Ledford.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Ledford, Chelsea, MI, and Bill Ledford, Farmington, MI; four grandchildren, Aaron Michael Ledford, Amy Lynne Ledford, Lindsay Caroline Ledford, and Steven Kent Ledford; a special nephew, Bruce Ledford, Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Keith Ledford, Jamie Ledford, Floyd Ledford, Randy Gore, Travis Simpson, and David Conatser.

A. Waudine Mabrey
Funeral services for Mrs. A. Waudine Mabrey, 71, of Allons, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Collins officiating. Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Mabrey died Wednesday, Aug. 21 at her home. She was a retired garment factory worker and a member of Willow Grove Church of Christ.

Born November 3, 1930, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Dorothy (Stover) Thrasher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hollis Thrasher.

Survivors include her husband, James Mabrey, Willow Grove; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Helen Mabrey, Willow Grove, and Robbie and April Mabrey, Timothy Community; two brothers, Elmo Thrasher, Jamestown, and Tommy Thrasher, Monroe; a sister, Linda Garrett, Jamestown; and four grandchildren, Melissa Cole, April Mabrey, Nicholas Mabrey, and Brannan Mabrey.

Pallbearers were Bobby Mabrey, Robbie Mabrey, Joe Lee Thrasher, Josh Smith, Hollis Thrasher, Allen Cole, David Melton, John Henley, and Robert Paul.

Flora B. Nash
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora B. Nash, 92, of Monterey, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, from Monterey Community Church with Rev. Edward Todd officiating. Burial was in Whittaker cemetery in Monterey with Goff Funeral Home of Monterey in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Nash died Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Oakwood Hospital in Taylor, MI. She was a homemaker.

Born June 9, 1910, in the Obey City Community of Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Waymon and Cora Bell (Phillips) Swallows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Nash; three sons, Jim Nash, Bill Nash, and Ted Nash; three stillborn siblings; a brother, Clarance Haskell Swallows; and four sisters, Della Avo Hood, Elynn-Mary Lee Polston, Ida Arizona Williams, and Anna Mae Tudor.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan E. Dixon, Taylor, MI; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

James Delain Smith
Graveside services for Master James Delain Smith, infant son of James Willis and Holly Lee (Davis) Smith of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Cash cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Master Smith was born and died Thursday, Aug. 15 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willis Smith.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his grandparents, Bobby Davis, Jeana Coleman, North Carolina, and Mary Smith; a brother, Nicholas Flowers; and six sisters, Casey Smith, Citara Smith, Hattie Smith, Kelsey Davis, Destiny Davis, and Angel Flowers.

Bobbie Jean Buck
Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Buck, 68, of Anderson, IN, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2001, from the chapel of Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home in Anderson, IN, with Rev. Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Memorial Park cemetery with Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Buck died Sunday, May 13, 2001. She was a retired employee of Delco Remy and a member of the New Horizon Methodist Church.

Born August 24, 1932, in Livingston, she was the daughter of Luverna Matthews of Livingston and the late Sim Matthews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Matthews.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Artie (Dutch) Buck, Anderson, IN; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and James Poston, Algood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jim Summers and Sharon and Ralph Oakley, all of Anderson, IN; five grandchildren, Evan Broderick, Ryan Broderick, Wesley Summers, Chad Oakley, Aaron Oakley; and several nieces and nephews.

Hassie (Seber) Gore
Funeral services for Mrs. Hassie (Seber) Gore, 80, of Anderson, IN, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Miller cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Gore died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at St. John's Health System in Anderson, IN. She was a grocery clerk and of the Baptist faith.

Born January 10, 1921, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Sarah (Andrews) Seber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Haston Seber; and a sister, Ezma Parrish.

Survivors include a sister, Jewell Dean Staggs, Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Billy Mahaney, Scott Hammock, Toby Hammock, Brad Reagan, Gary Melton, and Tony Cannon.

James Reid Poindexter
Funeral services for Mr. James Reid Poindexter, 77, of Celina, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2001, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with minister Bill Coe officiating. Burial was in the Tinsley cemetery in Celina with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Poindexter died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a retired Osh Gosh Factory worker and a member of the Cave Springs Church of Christ.

Born May 8, 1924, in Celina, he was the son of the late William Doc Poindexter and Tessie Ann (Colson) Poindexter.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Poindexter, Celina; two sons, Billy Poindexter, Algood, and Bobby Poindexter, Celina; and five grandchildren, Carrie Ann Tinsley, Monica Renee Smith, Felicia Ann Poindexter, Jodi Sue Poindexter, and Spencer Reid Poindexter.

Gladys (Gilpatrick) Brown
Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys (Gilpatrick) Brown, 96, of Celina, were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Jerry Holman officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Brown died Monday, Dec. 10 at her home. She was a member of the Celina Church of Christ, DAR, and First Families of Overton County. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Mattie Gilpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam T. Brown; a son, Francis S. Brown; a sister, Anna Lee Holman; and three brothers, Terry Gilpatrick, Oscar Gilpatrick, and Hasker Gilpatrick.

Survivors include three daughters, Eva Redmon, Nashville, Dora Lee Walker, Tipton, IN, and Jean Royse, Celina; a son, James T. Brown, Moss; and two brothers, Carl Gilpatrick and Devaugh Gilpatrick, both of Livingston. Pallbearers were her grandsons and great grandsons.

Thelma D. Dulaney
Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma D. Dulaney, 95, of Cartersville, GA, and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Dulaney died Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton, GA. She was a housewife and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Born January 1, 1906, in Algood, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Westley and Beulah (Williford) Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. "Estil' Dulaney; and a brother, Joe Dalton.

Survivors include four sisters, Gladys Vandever, Akron, OH, Opal Moredock, Sevierville, Frances Greene, Canton, and Marie Dalton, Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bill Davis, Alvin Huddleston, Mike Swallows, L.G. Puckett, Jack Windle, and Charles Maynord.

Aubrey Wilson
Funeral services for Mr. Aubrey Wilson, 83, of Monterey, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 31, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey with Rev. Mark Hamaker and Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial will be in the Welch Memorial cemetery with full military honors with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Wilson died Sunday, January 28, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired farmer and a WWII Army veteran where he was a POW for 28 months in Germany. He was also a member of the Livingston VFW Post #5063 and a member of the DAV.

Born August 13, 1917, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Roe and Tishie V. (Adkins) Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Bowden Wilson, Monterey; three sisters, Myma Harris, Lela Officer, and Betty Wilson, all of Monterey; and two brothers, Aulcie Wilson, Florida, and Ray Wilson, Monterey.

Adam David Allred
Funeral services for Mr. Adam David Allred, 21, of Celina, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina. Burial was in Fitzgerald cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Allred died Friday, January 26, 2001, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. He was a Deputy Sheriff and K-9 handler for the Clay County Sheriff's Department, a member of the Celina Fire Department, a member of the Clay County Rescue Squad, and was of the Baptist faith.

Born October 3, 1979, in Gainesboro, he was the son of David Allred of Celina and Tammy Russell of Cookeville. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Kyle Russell, Cookeville; three sisters, Brooke Allred, Cookeville, Candace Russell, Cookeville, and Nastasia Allred, Celina; and his grandparents, Andrew and Joyce Davis, Celina, and Bert Hestand Jr., Moss.

Pallbearers were his fellow officers.

Clara Sylvia Daniel
Funeral services for Ms. Clara Sylvia Daniel, 88, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2001, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Clayton officiating. Burial was in St. John cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Daniel died Friday, January 26, 2001 at Overton County Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker.

Born October 12, 1912, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Edward and Martha Elizabeth (Wright) Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by a sister, Pearl Sidwell; and six brothers, Jesse Daniel, Willie Daniel, Crit Daniel, Malcolm Daniel, Frank Daniel, and Charlie Hoover Daniel.

Survivors include a sister Jewell Nolen, Livingston; one nephew and seven nieces.

Pallbearers were Bill Daniel, Crit Gaw, Josh Gaw, Randy Gaw, Ed 'Bub' Long, and Jim Savage.
