Alice Della Gore
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Della Gore, 95, of Gainesboro, and formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. John Griffin officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Gore died Friday, Dec. 14 at Mayberry Health Care Center in Gainesboro. She was a housewife, beautican, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton, NC.

Born September 27, 1906, in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jenny Angel Mashburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Auther Gore; and three brothers, Furman Mashburn, Cecil Mashburn, and Dave Mashburn.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Cassetty, Carthage, and Janice Cox, Montgomery, AL; two brothers, Avery Mashburn, Cullowhee, NC, and Dean Mashburn, Franklin, NC; and three sisters, Lola Ferraro, Leesburg, FL, Janie Hardin, Canton, NC, and Deeda Elmore, Franklin, NC.

Pallbearers were Sam Cassetty, George Cassetty, Mike Gilpatrick, David Davenport, Jerry Gore, and Darrin Gore.

Anna Lee Flowers
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lee Flowers, 83, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. Burial was in Smith cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Flowers died Wednesday, Dec. 12 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a retired cook for the Pickett County School System and a member of the Midway Christian Church.

Born February 2, 1918, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Will Edd and Della Vera (Reynolds) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester R. Flowers; a sister, Allene Sells; two brothers, Ray Smith and Robert Smith; a son-in-law, Eugene Norris; and two grandchildren, Terri Flowers and Bobby Flowers.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Flowers, Monroe; a daughter, Wanda Norris, Alpine; a brother, J.C. Smith, Monroe; a sister, Willie Dea Riley, Cookeville; three grandchildren, Kristie Hicks, Craig Norris, and Tim Norris; four great grandchildren, Kayla Hicks, Jared Hicks, Dustin Hicks, and Elizabeth Norris; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very devoted friends; and a very devoted friend, Olene Keisling.

Herbert Howard Eldridge
Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Howard Eldridge, 86, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Martin cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Eldridge died Sunday, Dec. 9 at VA Medical Center in Nashville. He was a farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, and attended the Algood Church of Christ.

Born April 7, 1915, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James and Bertha (Martin) Eldridge.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Eldridge, Cookeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Harris and Christine Eldridge, Algood; a sister, Ermine Borden, Cookeville; five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Ardith and Bob Billingsley and Lawton Fletcher, all of Cookeville, Delton Fletcher, Chattanooga, and Clifton and Mary Fletcher and Leon and Judy Fletcher, all of Algood; and several nieces and nephews, Gail and Jeff Hunter, Linda and Roy Bridgewater, Jim and Joyce Brandon, Tim Eldridge, Chuck Billingsley, Michael Billingsley, and Kevin Fletcher.

Pallbearers were Tim Eldridge, Jim Borden, Chuck Billingsley, Mike Billingsley, Harold Fletcher, and Willie Fletcher.

David Louis Espinosa
Memorial services for Mr. David Louis Espinosa, 47, of Cookeville, were conducted at noon Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, from the Rickman Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Charlotte Seager officiating. Private family graveside services will be conducted at a later date at Smith Chapel cemetery. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Espinosa died Thursday, Dec. 13 in Somers Point, NJ. He was self-employed in Internet E-Business, very active in AA and in NA in the Cookeville area, and of the Catholic faith.

Born January 7, 1954, in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of Louis Espinosa of Miami, FL, and Rose Espinosa of New Jersey.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Jacquelyn Espinosa, Cookeville; a son, Daniel Espinosa, Cookeville; a daughter, Elaina Espinosa, Cookeville; two brothers, Johnny Phelps, New Jersey, and George Espinosa, Miami; and a sister, Mirian Espinosa, Miami.

Herman Kyle Sullivan
Funeral services for Mr. Herman Kyle Sullivan, 81, of the Timothy community, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 13, 1999, from McFerrin Methodist Church with Rick Frazier officiating. Burial was in McFerrin cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Sullivan, a retired truck driver, died Saturday, December 11, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born December 5, 1918, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Addis and Mattie (Moore) Sullivan. He was affiliated with McFerrin Methodist Church and a World War II Veteran. While in the Army, he received the Pacific Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Sullivan, Timothy community; two sons, Donnie Sullivan and Bedford (Jack) Sullivan, both of the Timothy community; one sister, Edith Bilbrey, Livingston; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Donnie Sullivan, Tony Sullivan, Joe Amon Sullivan, Michael Duke, Eddie Vickery, and Kent Thompson. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Raymond Bilbrey.

A. B. Spears
Funeral services for Mr. A. B. Spears, 79, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday, November 21, 1999, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Reeder officiating. Burial was in Spears Family cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Spears, a logger, died Thursday, November 18, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born August 15, 1920, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Archie Bennett 'Bud' and Mary (Dailey) Spears. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Oda Ethel Spears; a brother, Cecil Spears; and three sisters, Orpha Nievens, Ester Meadows, and Ellise Spears.

He was a member of the Allons Church of Christ.

Survivors include six daughters, Betty Smith, Calhoun, GA, Bonnie June Cottingham, Oakland, CA, Fay Conatser, Muncie, IN, Sherry Webb, Livingston, Terry Watson, Cookeville, and Kim Spears, State College, PA; six sons, Jack Spears, Steve Spears, Mike Spears, and Denny Spears, all of Allons, Gary Spears and Larry Spears, both of Livingston; three sisters, Beulah Riley, Morgantown, IN, Estelene Nievens, Celina, and Martha Hawkins, Nashville; two brothers, Dumas Spears, Cookeville, and Lester Spears, Celina; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Nathan Smith, Ralph Conatser, Robby Conatser, Kent Webb, Barry Webb, Bryan Spears, Grant Spears, Rocky Spears, and Michael Spears.

Nenah Alma Rains
Funeral services for Mrs. Nenah Alma Rains, 88, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 1 p. m. Tuesday, November 16, 1999, from the Etter Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Brown officiating. Burial was in Etter cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Rains, a school cook, homemaker, and grocery clerk, died Sunday, November 14, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 3, 1911, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Printiss and Ada (Wright) Rains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Upchurch; and two brothers, Howard Rains, and Fred Rains. She was a member of the Etter Baptist Church in Byrdstown, TN.

Survivors include three sisters, Virginia Cross, and Dorothy Hassler, both of Byrdstown, and Charlene Huddleston, Cookeville; a brother, J. C. Rains, Huntsville, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were J. B. King, Ray Huddleston, Ben Crabtree, Tommy Aaron, David Moon, and Gary Upchurch.

Marjorie Stacey Boles
Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Stacey Boles, 83, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2001 from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Haskel Cox officiating. Burial was in Old Antioch cemetery in the Old Antioch Community of Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Boles died Wednesday, January 10, 2001, at her son's residence.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Born July 21, 1917, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Susie Katherine Hammock Stacey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, R.C. Boles and an infant son; one daughter, Frances Irene Boles; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Boles, Gainesboro; two sons, Donnie Ray Boles and Lonnie Wayne Boles, both of Gainesboro; five daughters, Ruby Phillips, Livingston, Ona Goolsby, Mary Lee Boles, Darlene Pennington, all of Gainesboro, and Lucille Pyles, Monticello, KY; a brother, William Stacey, Gainesboro; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Haskell C. Webb
Funeral services for Mr. Haskell C. Webb, 75, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Coil and Bro. Glen Goggins officiating. Burial was in Savage cemetery at Walnut Grove with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Webb died Tuesday, January 9, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was a retired factory worker, a deacon at Livingston Church of Christ, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Born April 16, 1925, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Mayford and Maude Lack Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Webb; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Edna Webb, Livingston; two sons, David Haskell Webb and Lewis Paul Webb, both of Livingston; a brother, James E. Webb, Cookeville; four sisters, Ola Mae Haney, Cookeville, Sue Nell Oakley, Algood, Alma Talley, Rickman, and Delane Harris, Anderson, IN; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeff Webb, Jason Webb, Jamie Webb, Anthony Webb, Gary Webb, and Herman Webb.

Hattie Mae (Reagan) Padgett
Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Mae (Reagan) Padgett, 91, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2001, from McDonald's Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Edward Todd officiating. Burial was in the Robbins cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Padgett died Sunday, January 7, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of McDonald's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Born October 7, 1909, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Alice (Choate) Reagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Padgett; an infant daughter, Rurie Padgett; two brothers, Porter Reagan and twin brother Hassel Reagan; and three sisters, Etter Garrett, Cordie Bilbrey, and Delphia Padgett.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lura and Ellis Snoddy, Monroe; two grandchildren, Diane Henson and Scott Henson, both of Livingston; four great grandchildren, Chad Edens, Knoxville, and Brad Edens, Laura Edens, and Jacob Henson, all of Livingston; and a great-great granddaughter, Chloe Edens, Livingston.

Pallbearers were Randall Smith, Ralph McDonald, Robert Padgett, Rod Padgett, Ronnie Smith, and Rodney Padgett.

Grady V. Coffman
Funeral services for Mr. Grady V. Coffman, 80, of Hilham, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Mace officiating. Burial was in the Maxwell Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Coffman died Saturday, January 13, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was a farmer and a member of Hilham Church of Christ.

Born September 25, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Martha Brown Coffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Vader Coffman, Valis Coffman, Arvil Coffman, and Jess Coffman; and two sisters, Lola Dillion and Grace Johnson.

Survivors include two brothers, Albert Coffman and Willis Coffman, both of Hilham; and two sisters, Vonda Coffman, Livingston, and Louise Moss, Detroit, MI.

George L. Christian
Funeral services for Mr. George L. Christian, 81, of Allons, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Corley officiating. Burial was in the Holly Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Christian died Monday, January 8, 2001, at Overton County Nursing Home.

He was a retired restaurant worker and a member of Allons Baptist Church.

Born October 4, 1919, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Edwin F. and Elvie A. Ogletree Christian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Rawdon Christian, Eugene Christian, Paul Christian, Wales Christian, and Cassius Christian; an infant brother; and two sisters, Fannie Glasscock and Maggie Christian. Survivors include his brother, Carl Christian, Michigan.
