BORDEN E. YOUNG
Funeral services for Mr. Borden E. Young, 86, of Livingston, were conducted Friday, November 17, 2000, from the chapel of Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service of New Castle, IN, with Rev. Charles Dugger officiating. Burial was in the West Lawn Addition of South Mound cemetery in New Castle, IN, with Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Young, retired from the Chrysler Corporation, died Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at New Castle Healthcare in New Castle, IN.

Born March 19, 1914, in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Sherman and Ida (Richardson) Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda (Hill) Young; three brothers, W. Gordon Young, Ordus Young, and Obit Young; and an infant brother and sister.

He was a long-time resident of New Castle, IN, and had resided in Livingston the past eight years. He worked as a stone mason in New Castle for over 40 years and retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1976 after 28 years of service.

He was a member of United Auto Worker's Union Local #371 and was affiliated with the Midway Christian Church in Midway.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Larry Langford, Jo Ann and David Hickman, and Janice and Paul Cashdollar, all of New Castle, IN, and Angie and Rich Peterson, North Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Clancy Young and Clarice Carter, both of Livingston; a brother and sister-in-law, William Odell and Pauline Young of Russiaville, IN; nine grandchildren,Michael Langford and wife Linda, Plainfield, IN, Vanessa Hickman Cook, Surfside Beach, SC, Wes Cashdollar, Matthew Hickman, Lara Conway and husband Nathan, Megan Cashdollar Fultz and husband Joe, Emily Langford and Kylie Cashdollar, all of New Castle, IN, and Taylor Peterson, North Myrtle Beach, SC; three great grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.

HARLIS REEDER
Funeral services for Mr. Harlis Reeder, 81, of the Hatcher Hall Community in Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Clayton officiating. Burial was in the Hatcher Hall cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Reeder, a farmer, died Friday, November 17, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born May 15, 1919, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Willis and Viola (Ramsey) Reeder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Pauline Roberts Reeder and Lela Young Reeder; four sisters, Elsie Vaughn, Eula Vaughn, Cora Taylor, and Thelma Martin; and four brothers, Ben Reeder, Carl Reeder, George Reeder, and Homer Reeder.

He was a member of Martin's Chapel United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the VFW. He served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Reeder, Monroe; a step-son, Howard Young, Monroe; a sister, Estelle Cole, Akron, OH; a special step-grandson, Larry Young, Allons; and five step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Derward Vaughn, Clarence Reeder, Cross Robbins, Rusty Robbins, Kenneth Vaughn, and Tim Vaughn.

TALMADGE CARRIE QUALLS
Funeral services for Mrs. Talmadge Carrie Qualls, 84, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2000, from First Baptist Church in Livingston with Bro. Donald Cobb and Bro. Clarence Stewart officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Qualls, a housewife, died Sunday, November 19, 2000, at the Overton County Nursing Home.

Born May 9, 1916, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edd and Anna (Franklin) Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gentry Qualls; a sister, Edith Wolfe; a half-brother, Bill Brown; and a great grandson, Alex Shipley.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn White, Livingston, and Gail Walker, Sparta; two sisters, Ester Stults, Marietta, GA; and Ethel Lewis, Livingston; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

TEOLA SPECK ROSS
Funeral services for Mrs. Teola (Speck) Ross, 84, of Cadiz, KY, and formerly of Rickman, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, from Anglin Memorial Chapel in Dover with Rev. Calvin Reagan officiating. Burial was in the Morgan cemetery in Bumpus Mills with Anglin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ross, a homemaker, died Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at the Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY.

Born June 28, 1916, in Rickman, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Lloyd and Oshia Ima (Owens) Speck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Crow Ross.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann McNichols and Sammie Kay Radford, both of Cadiz, KY, and Roberta Thomas, Winona, MS; two sisters, Maxine Clark, Columbia, and Mary Jean step-hens, Livingston; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Greg McNichols, Ricky McNichols, Kevin Radford, Dale Swift, Jerry Swift, and Ross Flatt.

HAZEL EXELL TAYLOR REAGAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Ezell (Taylor) Reagan, 77, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Taylor officiating. Burial was in Old Bethel cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Reagan, a homemaker and retired shirt factory employee, died Thursday, November 16, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born December 4, 1922, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Maggie (Conner) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Thomas Taylor, her second husband, Finis Wilmer Reagan, two sons, Walter Thomas Taylor and Eddie Dean Taylor, a sister, Myrtle Reagan; a daughter-in-law, Reva Dean Taylor, a son-in-law, Carl Lee Waddell; and three grandchildren.

She was a member of the Barnes Ridge Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ruth Thrasher, Monroe, and Patsy Waddell, Hilham; a son, Willie Taylor, Monroe; three sisters, Gladys Smith, Anderson, IN, Melissa Taylor, Fairfield, IL, and Arxie Reagan, Monroe; a brother, Milborn Taylor, Monroe; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Kendall Taylor, Kelly Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Andy Taylor, Joe Thrasher, and Ricky Waddell. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Bobby Reagan and Gary Reagan.

ORA MYRTLE LANGFORD
Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Myrtle Langford, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Langford, a housewife, died Monday, November 13, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born October 13, 1915, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Martha (Dailey) Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bluford Langford.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Langford and Billy Langford, both of Allons; two sisters, Ila Hawkins, Algood, and Lori Perry, Elwood, IN; a brother, Cleave Copeland, Livingston; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Copeland, James Copeland, Shirley Copeland, Grady Langford, Nathan Norrod, and Jared Norrod.

Rayvin Grace Rauch
Funeral services for Miss Rayvin Grace Rauch, 8, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home of Norwood, OH, was in charge of the arrangements, with local arrangements handled by Livingston Funeral Home.

Miss Rauch died Saturday, August 5, 2000, in Byrdstown.

She was the daughter of Robert E. Rauch of Norcross, GA, and Ayesha Arriaga Cruz of Detroit, MI.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her step-father, Adolfo Cruz, Detroit, MI; paternal grandparents, Frank and Hazel Rauch, Byrdstown; maternal grandparents, Miguel Arriaga and Gladys Gonzelez, both of Oklahoma City, OK; and half sister, Jacinda Cruz.

Eugene Debs Gaw
Funeral services for Mr. Eugene Debs Gaw, 92, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2000, from the chapel of Allens Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sullivan and Rev. Earl Williams officiating. Burial was in Allens Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gaw, a produce worker with Gaw's Produce, died Wednesday, August 3, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born July 28, 1908, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Irby and Martha (Maxwell) Gaw.

He was of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Survivors include a nephew, Bruce Gaw of Hilham.

Clara Deane (Looper) Qualls
Graveside services for Mrs. Clara Deane (Looper) Qualls, 85, of Nashville and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2000, from Good Hope cemetery with Dr. Joe Stacker officiating. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Nashville was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Qualls, a retired teacher and homemaker, died Monday, July 31, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. Qualls.

She was a member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam L. and Marti Qualls, Atlanta, GA, and Robert E. and Judith Qualls, Philadelphia, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Susie (Qualls) and Mike Pennington, Austin, TX; two sisters, Capitola Looper, and Joanna Stockton; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mike Pennington, Richard Qualls, Douglas Qualls, David Qualls, Mark Qualls, and Steven Pennington.

Lillian Emma Vaughn
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Emma Vaughn, 68, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Clayton officiating. Burial was in the Fiske cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Vaughn, a factory worker, died Wednesday, August 3, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born January 16, 1932, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Della (Greenwood) Ledbetter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Ledbetter and R.D. Ledbetter; and a sister, Lela Ledbetter.

She was a member of the Christ Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Vaughn, Livingston; a daughter, Jenny Boles, Hilham; a brother, J.C. Ledbetter, Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren, Joel Boles and Jeremy Boles, both of Hilham.

Pallbearers were Kevin Burchett, Jeff Hammock, Mike Winningham, Billy Burchett, Bee Hammock, and Benny Sells.

EARNEST CLYDE BROWN
Funeral services for Mr. Earnest Clyde Brown, 76, of Rickman, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, from the Rickman Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Buck officiating. Burial was in Eckels cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Brown, a factory worker for Wonder Bread, died Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville.

Born January 22, 1924, in Menifee County, KY, he was the son of the late William and Lila (Culberson) Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Brown; and a brother, Glenn Brown. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife, Nadene Hooks Brown, Rickman; three daughters, Wilma Debusk, Troy, OH, Brenda Bowling, Dayton, OH, and Brenda Randolph, Cookeville; three sons, Garvin Brown, Charlie Brown, and Gene Brown, all of Dayton, OH; two sisters, Ada Smith, Ezell, KY, and Larlie Kilborn, Kentucky; two brothers, Edison Brown, Dayton, OH, and Elmer Brown, Ashland, KY; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Brown, Robie Brown, Ray Brown, Jason Brown, Billy Brown, and Darin Brown. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Troy Pennington, Steven Barlow, and Russell Long.

Mack Burks
Funeral services for Mr. Mack Burks, 75, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial was in Turkey Town cemetery in the Turkey Town Community of Clay County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Burks died Saturday, May 18 at his home in the Old Antioch Community of Jackson County. He was a farmer and mule trader.

Born May 17, 1927, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late J.P. "Hard" and Susie (Reels) Burks.

Survivors include a daughter, Roxann Sisco, Gainesboro; a brother, John Burks, Hilham; two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
