Annie Lou (Daniels) Colson
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lou (Daniels) Colson, 79, of Allons, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 1999, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial was in St. John cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Colson, a homemaker, died Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born February 3, 1920, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Estes and Bessie (Collins) Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Haltie Colson; a son, George Colson; a brother, Bud Daniels; and a twin sister, Nannie Colson.

She was a member of Free Communion Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Tina Langford, Celina, and Claudine Vaughn and Betty Johnson, both of Allons; five sons, James Colson, Edward Colson, Doyle Colson, Haskel Colson, and Raymond Colson, all of Allons; four sisters, Rosie Eller and Edna Pearl Sherfield, both of Cookeville; Jewell Dean Phillips, Bridge City, TX, and Dean Riddle, Detroit, MI; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three special friends, Dean Colson, Evelyn Allred, and Orlan Cyphers; and a very special friend, Cora Waddle.

Pallbearers were grandchildren.

Juanita Elizabeth (Pullias) Chilton
Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Elizabeth (Pullias) Chilton, 65, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 1999, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Nolen Cantrell officiating. Burial was in Fellowship cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Chilton, former secretary of Overton Apparel Company, died Thursday, October 14, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born June 15, 1934, in Nashville, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) Pullias of Livingston and the late James Horace Pullias Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Thomas Chilton; and a brother, James Horace Pullias Jr.

She was a member of Tulip Street Methodist Church in Nashville.

Survivors in addition to her mother include a step-sister, Joyce Beal Allison, Clarksville; and Robbie Pennington.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Reagan, Jimmy Chilton, Bryan Chilton, Bruce Harris, Ben Danner, and Billy Joe Holt.

Marvin Ward Keisling
Graveside services for Mr. Marvin Ward Keisling, 72, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 1999, from Nelson cemetery with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Keisling, a farmer, died Wednesday, October 4, 1999, at Alvin C. York Veterans Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Born July 3, 1927, in Overton County, he was the son of Edna Jennie Sims Keisling of Livingston and the late Hardy Keisling.

He was affiliated with Hatcher Hall Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his step-grandmother, Hettie Keisling, Livingston; and several cousins.

Betty Ann Nevans
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ann Nevans, 61, of Alva, FL, and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 1999, from First Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Nevans, a realtor, died Tuesday, October 5, 1999, in Dayton.

Born March 27, 1938, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Ethel Brown Lewis of Ft. Myers, FL, and the late Harlan Lewis.

She was a member of McGregor Baptist Church, Rotary Ann, and past president of the Junior Women's Club.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, William M. Nevans, DDS, Ft. Myers, FL; a son, Meredith Nevans, Ft. Myers, FL; and three grandchildren, Theresa Nevans, Christopher Nevans, and Chasina Drake, all of Ft. Myers, FL.

Pallbearers were John Simmons, George Whiteside, James Nevans, John (Jay) Nevans, Kuell White, Bill Davis, Mitchell White, and Mark White.

Agnes Alberta Poston
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Alberta Poston, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Okolona cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Poston, a housewife, died Thursday, September 9, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 6, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Carver and Lona Bell Bilbrey Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Obie Poston; a son, Bruce Poston; and a sister, Beulah Brinson.

She was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophesy in Livingston.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Joe Poston and O.B. Poston, both of Livingston; a daughter, Linda Oakley, Livingston; three brothers, Sam "Budd" Eldridge and Coy Eldridge, both of Livingston, and Bill Eldridge, Rickman; two sisters, Jean Forton, Livingston, and Betty Downey, Anderson, IN; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Poston, Scott Poston, Tommy Feaster, Daniel Poston, Tim Oakley, and Chad Murphy.

Jerry Ray Huskey
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Ray Huskey, 46, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Huskey, a factory worker, died Tuesday, September 7, 1999, at his home.

Born July 5, 1953, in Harlan County, KY, he was the son of Jewell Coldiron Huskey of Livingston and the late Leroy Huskey. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Rose Coldiron and John and Ollie Huskey.

He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Denise Huskey, Gloucester, VA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mina and Cledith Padgett, Livingston, Vicki and Dick Jarrett, Tampa, FL, and Patty Briggs, California; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marcella Wilson, Byrdstown.

Pallbearers were Stanford Padgett, Rod Huff, Daniel Forrester, Jason Bilbrey, Bruce Harris, and Scott Thornhill.

MARVIN DUANE HEARD
Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Duane Heard, 45, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 1999 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Denson officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Heard, a self-employed construction worker, died Sunday, September 19, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born May 19, 1954, in Highland Park, MI, he was the son of William Kennard and Mildred A. Peace Heard of Livingston.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, are a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Araina Heard, Livingston, and five nephews.

OVA L. SMITH
Funeral services for Mrs. Ova L. Smith, 69, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 20, 1999 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry B. Buck officiating. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Smith, a housewife, died Thursday, September 16, 1999 at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born January 26, 1930, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mary Elizabeth Smith Pulliams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward G. Smith.

She was affiliated with the Pentecostal church.

Survivors include two sons, Odise Threet , Albany, KY, and Joel Threet, Monterey; a daughter, Wanda Dorton, Anderson, IN; five brothers, Quitman Ledbetter and Jerry Ledbetter, both of Livingston, Curtis Pulliams, Columbia, IN, Chester Pulliams, Texas, and Kenneth Pulliams, Glasgow, KY; five sisters, Nova Cope, Alpine, Faye Eldridge and Emma Davidson, both of Cookeville, Myrtle Hargis, Monterey, and Reba Cooper, Albany, KY; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeff Ledbetter, Wayne Ledbetter, Randy Ledbetter, Larry Threet, Michael May, and Eddie May.

Charles Henry Hatcher
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Henry Hatcher, 70, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 29, 1999, from First United Methodist Church in Cookeville with Rev. T.J. Bennett and Rev. Gerald Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Cookeville with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hatcher, a retired wholesale hardware salesman for Orgill Brothers in Putnam and eight surrounding counties, died Saturday, September 25, 1999, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Born July 2, 1929, in Knoxville, he was the son of the late William Aaron and Anne Elizabeth (McCarter) Hatcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Lantz.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Cookeville (formerly Parkview) and V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Hunt) Hatcher, Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Darlene Hatcher, Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Richard Roberts, Wilmington, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and Raymond Gourley, Maryville; a brother-in-law, Henry Lantz, Leland, NC; a grandson, Matthew Charles Roberts, Wilmington, NC; two granddaughters, Sarah Marie Roberts, Wilmington, NC, and Holly Anne Hatcher, Cookeville; an aunt, Nancy King, Maryville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Owsley, David Beeler, Jim Butcher, Billy Lantz, Lloyd Petty Jr., and Robert Smith.

Thurman C. Clark
Graveside services for Mr. Thurman C. Clark, 68, of Xenia, OH, were conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, September 24, 1999, at Valley View Memory Gardens in Beavercreek, OH, with Tobias Funeral Home in Dayton, OH in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Clark, a soap boiler at the Hewitt Soap Company, died Monday, September 20, 1999, at Miami Valley Hospital.

Born in 1931, he was the son of the late James W. Clark Sr. and Pearl Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Elmer Clark, and Truman Cecil Clark; and one sister, Pauline Massar.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Clark; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony Clark, and Daniel and Shelley Clark; four grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Amber, Allen, and Emily; two sisters, Lela Sewell, and Reba Lee; and three brothers, Thomas Clark, James W. Clark, and William A. Clark.

Lucille Gibson
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Gibson, 71, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, September 24, 1999, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Cookeville City cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Gibson, a homemaker, died Wednesday, September 22, 1999 at her home.

Born April 9, 1928, in Stearns, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Flora Mae (Phillips) Stephens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Birchel Gibson; a son, Birchel David Gibson; and two sisters, Nobel Stephens and Juanita Dorey.

She was affiliated with The Full Gospel Church in Cookeville.

Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Phillips, Hilham; two sons, Charles Gibson, Youngstown, OH, and Jackie Fugate, Tampa, FL; two brothers, Beecher Stephens, Kendallville, IN, and Eugene Stephens, Covington, OH; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Charles Gibson, Robert B. Gibson, Perry Tharp, Josh Phillips, Andrew C. Gibson, Robert Ratcliff, and Jackie Fugate.
