Jerry Edward Snedecor
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Edward Snedecor, 56, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, from First United Penecostal Church in Livingston with Bro. Paul Stringer officiating. Burial will be in AllenŐs Chapel cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home of Cookeville in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Snedecor died Monday, Feb. 18 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was an auto mechanic.

Born April 22, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Lois Lee of Hilham and the late Luther Snedecor.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his step-father, Claude Lee, Hilham; his wife, Imogene (Allen) Snedecor, Cookeville; three daughters, Stephanie Snedecor, Darla Snedecor, and Christina Snedecor, all of Cookeville; a sister, Cathy McKinnis, Nashville, and a grandson, Lee Allen Snedecor, Cookeville.

James Ray Speck
Funeral services for Mr. James Ray Speck, 63, of Kingsport, were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, from the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport. Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens with Hamlett-Dodson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Speck died Wednesday, Feb. 14 after lenghty complications following a stroke. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He moved to Kingsport in 1965, after graduating from Tennessee Tech University. He retired in 1995 from Holston Defense Corporation. He was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church and a life member of the Colonial Heights Optimist Club. Born in Livingston, he was the son of Jimmie W. Speck of Livingston and the late W. Ray Speck.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Kay (Cox) Speck, Kingsport; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. and Deborah (Aarons) Speck, Morristown; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley and Bill Sayer, Del Mar, CA, and Susan and Lowell Arney, Livingston; and two nieces, Courtney R. Barnaby and Emily (Arney) Maynord. Pallbearers were Roy Adams, Lowell Arney, Ivan Barnes, Tom Cox, Jerry Edds, Russell Ferguson, Larry Harris, and James Snodgrass. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Larry Bishop.

Annie Katherine Wynne
Funeral services for Ms. Annie Katherine Wynne, 84, of Deer Park, OH, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Monroe cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Wynne died Saturday, Feb. 16 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was an electrical technician and a member of First Christian Church in Livingston.

Born April 13, 1917, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ora (Davis) Walthall.

Survivors include a brother and two sisters-in-law, Larry and Jimmie Walthall, Livingston, and Lorainne Walthall, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Myrtle Virginia Harp
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Virginia Harp, 74, of Naples, FL, were conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 1999, from Paran Methodist Church. Burial was in Paran cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Harp, a retired food service worker, died Saturday, September 18, 1999, at Naples Community Hospital in Florida.

Born January 11, 1925, in Crossville, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Myrtle Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Harp, Naples, FL; a son, DeWayne Harp, Naples, FL, and a sister, Lucille Buckner, Crossville.

M.C. Wilson
Funeral services for Mr. M.C. Wilson, 82, of Rickman, were conducted at 3 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 1999, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Minister Wayne Vetraino officiating. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery in Monterey with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Wilson, a machinist and coal miner, died Monday, September 20, 1999, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Born August 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Willis Wilson and Margaret Spurlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Vaughn, and Nina Buckner; three brothers, T.A. Wilson, J.D. Wilson, and Q. E. Wilson. He was a member of Livingston Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include his wife, Clarissa Bilbrey Wilson, Rickman; a daughter, Carolyn Wilson, Rickman; a son, George Wilson, Cookeville; four grandchildren; three sisters, Tennie McCowan, Monterey, Vanilla Buckner, and Reba Hammonds both of Battle Creek, MI; and a brother, R.G. Wilson, Cookeville.

Lester Edker Pennington
Funeral services for Mr. Lester Edker Pennington, or better known as 'Toot', 77, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 1999, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Masters officiating. Burial was in Aarons Chapel cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Pennington, a woodworker, died September 24, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born April 29, 1922, in Clay County, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Spivey) Pennington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe A. Pennington, Paul Pennington, George Pennington, Billy Pennington, and Chester Pennington; and a step-sister, Anna Geesling.

He was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Ramey 'M.C.' (Phillips) Pennington, Hilham; two daughters, Betty Ruth Green, and Barbara Ann Tharp both of Hilham; one step-sister, Ila Lindsy, Cookeville; three brothers, Aaron Pennington, Cookeville, Amos Pennington, Detroit, MI, and Donald Pennington, Rickman.

Pallbearers were Chris Huddleston, Frank Pigg, Jeffery Green, Mike Tharp, Michael Tharp, Jason Phillips, Bill Johnson, and Roy Geesling.

Johnny Ramsey
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Ramsey, 61, of Clarkrange, were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, September 24, 1999, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Floyd and Rev. Glen Murphy officiating. Burial was in Hanging Limb cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ramsey, a sawer in the saw mill industry, died Monday, September 20, 1999, at the Fentress County General Hospital in Jamestown.

Born June 28, 1938, in Cookeville, he was the son of the late Jim and Bessie Pinkston Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Vickers; two grandchildren, John Michael Ramsey and an infant, Randolph.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Bowman Ramsey, Monterey; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Mark Fuqua, Springfield, Vivian and Mark Johnson, Ann Arbor, MI, Valerie and Bernard Padgett, Clarkrange, Angela and Jim Graham, Redwood City, CA, Anita and Loyal Padgett, Clarkrange, Johnnie and Rick Walker, Monterey, and Jeannie and Bruce Miller, Clarkrange; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Pearl Harville, Cookeville.

Clyde V. Williams
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde V. Williams, 78, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, 1999, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home with Carson Whiteaker officiating. Rickman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Williams died Friday, September 24, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born November 1, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Colbert and Oris (Allred) Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mickey (Booth) Williams; and two brothers, Fred Williams and Ben Williams.

He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Bilbrey, Rickman; two step-sons, Wayne Gilley and Dennis Gilley, both of Lexington, KY; three brothers, Buddy Williams, Byrdstown, J.B. Williams, Tecumseh, MI, and Ernie Williams, Algood; three grandchildren, Matthew Bilbrey, Allen Bilbrey, and Breanna Bilbrey, all of Rickman; and five step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mike Bilbrey, Wayne Bilbrey, Dennis Bilbrey, John Allred, Donald Huffer, and Lonnie Chaffin.

Patricia Ringley Butler
Memorial services for Mrs. Patricia Ringley Butler, 56, of Nashville, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 1999, from Christ Church Presbyterian in Alpine with Bro. David Beaty officiating. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Butler, a housewife, died September 22, 1999, at her home.

Born February 7, 1943, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late John Harris Jr. and Lora Elpha King Ringley. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Butler, Nashville; a son, Ben Hix, Nashville; a daughter, Dawn Mayes, Nashville; a step-daughter, Susan Milan, Tallahassee, FL; a brother, John Ringley Jr., Livingston; three sisters, Wilma Heft, Las Vegas, NV, Gwen Chilton, Cookeville, and Joyce Vaughn, Savannah, GA.

Robert Wayne Davis
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wayne Davis, 69, of Cookeville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 27, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth W. Kirby officiating. Graveside services with full military honors followed at 3 p.m. at Sadlersville United Methodist Church cemetery in Adams with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Davis, retired from the U.S. Army, died Thursday, September 23, 1999, at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center.

Born April 25, 1930, in Cameron, OK, he was the son of the late James Henley Davis and Sarah Cherry Davis. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a brother, Lester Davis, Wooster, OH; a sister, Olene Flute, Sayre, OK; four half brothers, Veachel Davis, Damon Davis, and Leonard Davis, all of Poteau, OK, and Buddy Ray Harris, Antlers, OK; three half sisters, Mae Inez Eccles, Atwater, OK, Reba Stansberry, Oklahoma City, OK, and Faye Jackson, Clayton, OK; a special aunt, Melba Neely; several other aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers were Veachel Davis, Damon Davis, Leonard Davis, Will Robbins, and Jim Scott.

Honorary pallbearers were Odell Lemons, Jim Pittman, Les Davis Jr., and Donald E. Davis.

Ethel Reagan
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Reagan, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Cullom Maxfield officiating. Burial was in Old Bethel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Reagan, a housewife, died Sunday, September 12, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 28, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rosie A. Matthews Johnson.

She was affiliated with the Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, James Carlie Reagan, Livingston; a son, Charlie Reagan, Livingston; two daughters, Rose Copeland, Livingston, and Betty Speck, Highland Mountain Community; two brothers, Frank Johnson, Scottsville, KY, and Harris Johnson, Red Boiling Springs; two sisters, Allis Wallace, Illinois, and Pearl Dennis, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Shawn Reagan, Brian Reagan, Jason Ledbetter, and Chris Ledbetter; and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Carl Reagan, Terry Johnson, Joe Johnson, Johnny Dennis, Ralph Brown, and Rod Johnson.

Arnold Sells
Funeral services for Mr. Arnold Sells, 78, formerly of Oakley, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 1999, at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home in Akron, OH, with Pastor William Moore officiating. Graveside services with military honors by the Livingston V.F.W. Post were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 1999, from Sells Family cemetery in Monroe with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Sells, a minister, died Wednesday, September 8, 1999.

Born in Oakley, he was the son of the late Robert and Ova Sells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Sells, Forest Sells, and Andrew Sells; a sister, Nancy Ellen Hensley; and a grandson, Mark Andrew. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving in the European Theater, a member of Clark Mill Road Baptist Church, and was an ordained minister by the Maranatha Baptist Church of Akron, OH. He received two song writing awards from Billboard magazine and led a country band "Tennessee Slim and the Country Boys".

Survivors include his wife, Pat Sells; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Sells of Barberton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, "Big Girl" Linda Lucas, Akron, OH, "Little Girls" Lee Anne and James Grimes, Akron, OH, and Molly and Larry Saal, Lodi; a bother and sister-in-law, Barnie and Beulah Sells, Akron, OH; two sisters, Bonnie Kyle, Tennessee, and Chloe Conner, Akron, OH; eight grandchildren, Tracee, Lisa, Eddie, Heather, Ricky, Tommy, Philip, and Hannah; six great grandchildren, Rachel, Ricky, Daniel, Christian, Julia, and Rebekah; a special friend, "Banjo Man" Phil Bunch; and many other relatives and friends.
