Funeral services for Mrs. Cornice Blake, age 100, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Stan Mullins officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chula Finnee Cemetery after a service at Chula Finnee Baptist Church in Heflin, AL on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. and visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Billy Joe Murray officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Blake was a native of Delta, AL, daughter of the late David Seth Johnson & the late Tinker Swope Johnson. She was a housewife, a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church and the Home Demonstrations Club. Along with her parents, Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her husband: M.L. Blake, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her daughter: Glenda Meadows of Fayetteville, TN; 4 grandchildren: John Blake Meadows of Hazel Green, AL, Judy Meadows Hamlet of Scottsboro, AL, Beth Meadows Faul of Hazel Green, AL, Jane Meadows Jones of Franklin, TN; 2 sisters: Era C. Morris of Chattanooga, TN, Louise Walker of Tampa, FL; 1 brother: Lewis B. Johnson of Opp, AL; 6 great grandchildren; 11 nieces and 1 nephew. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lincoln Baptist Church or the Chula Finnee Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Donald Rhodes

Funeral services for Mr. Donald Rhodes, age 76, of Hayesville, NC, formerly of Lincoln Co., TN, who passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. graveside in Macedonia Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rhodes was a native of Delina, TN, son of the late Wesley Ace & Beulah Massey Rhodes, an engineer, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife: Gail McDow Rhodes of Hayesville, NC; daughters: June Carol Bowden of Flintville, TN, Donna Carrie Gedcke of Lexington, SC; sons: Donald Morgan Rhodes, Jr. of Broad Town, GA, Roger Lee Rhodes & wife, Janet of Nashville, TN; grandchildren: David Perry, Michael & Shane Bowden, Kristen Perry & Andrew Rhodes; great grandchild: McKinley Bowden; sister: Carolyn Moore of Lewisburg, TN; brother: Joe Douglas Rhodes of Tampa, FL. Visitation with the family will begin Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jessie L. Tanner

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. Tanner, age 72, of Cooper Rd., Flintville, TN, who passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Dwight Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Tanner was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Harvey Lee & Vernie Elma Pirtle Patterson, a spooler for the Cotton Mill, a member of the Gum Springs Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Kenneth Tanner; brother: Jerry Patterson; sister: Martha Lou Patterson. Survivors include 1 daughter: Kathy Barnett Smith & husband: James of Kelso, TN; 2 sons: Mark Andy Franklin of Flintville, TN, Steve Franklin & wife: Brenda of Fayetteville, TN; 6 sisters: Marie McConnell of Taft, TN, Eva Kent, Daisy Harrison, Frances Jackson & husband: J.C., Linda Smith & husband: Joe, Debra Strezelecky all of Fayetteville, TN; 3 brothers: Joe Patterson & wife: Clara of Fayetteville, TN, Billy Patterson & wife: Peggy, Bobby Patterson & wife: Peggy all of Coldwater, TN; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 step-grandson. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert Lunsford

Memorial services for Mr. Robert Lunsford, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at his residence will be conducted Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Billions officiating. Mr. Lunsford was a native of Chattanooga, TN, son of the late Charlie & Julie Logan Lunsford, worked for the Ford Motor Company, was an Army WWII veteran, an Air Force veteran from the Korean War and was a volunteer for the Lincoln County Museum. Survivors include his wife: Lucille Lunsford of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sons: Larry Lunsford, Gerald Lunsford both of Fayetteville, TN, Leon Lunsford of Elkhart, Indiana; 1 daughter: Kelly McBride of Fayetteville, TN; 4 grandchildren: Jerry Lunsford, Robert Lunsford, Scott Lunsford, Michael Lunsford and 12 great grandchildren.

Mr. Junior Prince

Funeral services for Mr. Junior Prince, age 79, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at his residence, will be conducted Friday, June 2, 2006 at noon, graveside in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Gatlin officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Prince was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Hosea Prince, Sr. & the late Bessie Pitts Prince, and a farmer. Survivors include 2 half brothers: Archie Cashion of Kelso, TN & Hilton Cashion of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Ronald 'Skillet' Bradford

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald 'Skillet' Bradford, age 56, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in Nashville, TN, will be conducted Friday, June 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Stewarts Cemetery. Mr. Bradford was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Samuel Hollis Bradford & the late Evaline Koonce Bradford Stocstill, an auto detailer and a member of the Brogan Ave. Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Sharon Bradford of Fayetteville, TN; daughter: Brittany Bradford of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sisters: Faye Dollar of Fayetteville, TN, JoAnne Hardy of Elora, TN, Polly Askew of Fayetteville, TN and 1 brother: Phillip Bradford of Huntley, IL. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Donny Ray Hudson

Funeral services for Mr. Donny Ray Hudson, age 64, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006, in Gatlinburg, TN, will be conducted Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford & Jerry Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Mr. Hudson was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Clyde Elbert Hudson & the late Mildred Evelyn Hopkins Hudson. He was the Superintendent for the Lincoln County Highway Dept. since 1982. He was a member of the Flintville Baptist Church, T.C.S.A.-TN County Services Assoc., BPOE Elks Lodge #1792, and the TN County Hwy. Officials. Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife: Vera Gault Hudson of Flintville, TN; 2 daughters: Mildred La-Gay & Mark Horton of Flintville, TN, Vicky Donyea & Joe Trentham of Kelso, TN; 5 grandchildren: Kesha Horton, Ethan Horton, Ana Trentham, Dayla Trentham, Bradley Trentham; Tammy & Leslie & Steve & their mother: Brenda Hudson all of Flintville, TN; close & dear friends: Lori Jean & Erma Barr. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucille Porter Lunsford

It is with regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Lucille Porter Lunsford, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, June 19, 2006 at her residence. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Gallant Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mrs. Lunsford was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Henry & Mattie Payne Porter, a housewife and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter: Kelly McBride; 3 sons: Larry & Gerald Lunsford all of Fayetteville, TN, Leon Lunsford of Elkhart, Ind.; 4 grandsons: Michael, Jerry, Robert & Scott Lunsford; 4 sisters: Elizabeth, Ruth, Josephine & Martha; 3 brothers: Jack, Phillip & George and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Mark Bentley, age 38, of Mt. Juliet, TN, who passed away Monday, June 26, 2006, at his residence, will be conducted Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Aikens & Rev. Don Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Bentley was a native of Lincoln Co., son of Solon & Virginia Cowley Bentley, manager of materials and maintenance for the Timbar Co., and a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter: Sydney Lauren Bentley of Des Moines, IA; parents: Solon & Virginia Cowley Bentley of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Steven E. & Terri Bentley; 1 niece: Ashley D. Bentley and 1 nephew: Matthew S. Bentley all of Huntsville, AL. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Russell H. Eldridge

Funeral services for Mr. Russell H. Eldridge, age 67, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Friday, June 30, 2006 in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Haygood officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery. Mr. Eldridge was a native of  West Virginia, son of the late Martin & Myrtle Johnson Eldridge and worked in the paint dept. of the Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL for 27 years. Survivors include his wife: Vera R. Cooper Eldridge of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter: Victoria Eldridge of Seattle, WA; 1 son: Russell Martin Eldridge of Chicago, IL; 2 sisters: Helen Collins, Margie Stratton; 1 brother: Willie Eldridge all of  West Virginia; 1 granddaughter, 1 grandson and 2 great granddaughters. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson Moore

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson Moore, age 93, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 12 noon at the Friendship Church of Christ with Richard Waggoner officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moore was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Albert B. & Elma George Moore, a mechanic and farmer and a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. He is survived by 1 sister: Sophia Dunivan of Pulaski, TN. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 10 am until service time at the Friendship Church of Christ.
