Burial was in New Hope cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Smith, a welder and watchman, died Thursday, November 11, 1999, at his residence. Born October 20, 1941, in Celina, he was the son of the late Carl Vanus Smith and Myrtle Belle McLerran. He was affiliated with New Hope Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Stuart Wayne Smith and Sherwin Scott Smith, both of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Melissa Gail Gilliam, Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, David Smith, Gallatin, and Charles Smith, Livingston; and four grandchildren.

Mary Della Neal
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Della Neal, 91, of Cookeville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 1999, from the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Malone officiating. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial cemetery with Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Neal, former owner and operator of Neal's Grocery, died Tuesday, November 9, 1999, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. Born February 18, 1908, in Clinton County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses and Deliah Amonette Cope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.P. Neal; a grandson, Doyle Wright; a son-in-law, Gawain Wright; three brothers, Jim Cope, Willie Cope, and Stanley Cope; five sisters, Susie Parris, Clementine Neal, Edith Taylor, Pearl Garrett, and Nellie Cope. She was a charter member of Midway Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Delcie Wright, Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Chancellor Vernon and Mona Neal, Cookeville; four grandchildren, Charles Wright, Cookeville; Jeff Neal, Chattanooga, and Belinda Mandrell and Melissa Gogonelis, both of Memphis; seven great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeff Neal, Charles Wright, Tim Mandrell, Paul Gogonelis, Bill Huddleston, and Sam Gibbons.

James Harold Bowman
Funeral services for Mr. James Harold Bowman, 58, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 1999, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Phillips and Rev. David Harris officiating. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with full military honors presented by Ft. Campbell, KY, with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Bowman died Sunday, November 14, 1941, at his home. Born October 30, 1941, in Overton County, he was the son of Cora Tudor and the late Joe B. Bowman. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired army veteran with the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7). Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Bobbie Bowman, Monterey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Regena and Joey Murphy, Monterey, and Candice and Aaron Degnan, Oklahoma City, OK; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Robbie Bowman and Johnny and Penny Bowman, all of Monterey, Bayron Bowman and Chris Botkin, Vacaville, CA, and Joey and Angie Bowman, Cabot, AR; a sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Cluster Hite, Monterey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane Clark, Linda and Mott Stevens, Mae and Marshal Stevens, Marla and J.D. Stevens, and Annis and Phillip Talley; 12 grandchildren, Gerald Smith, Wesley Smith, Brad Bowman, Craig Bowman, Taylor Bowman, Devon Murphy, Dalton Murphy, Michaela Degnan, Justin Botkin, Christopher Botkin, Cameron Botkin, and Jeremy Botkin; and many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.

Howard G. Smith
Funeral services for Mr. Howard G. Smith, 74, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 1999, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Ayers officiating. Burial was in New Hope cemetery in Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Smith, a retired school bus driver for the Jackson County school system, died Monday, November 8, 1999, at Mabry Health Care and Rehab. Center in Gainesboro. Born January 18, 1925, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Ova West Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Wayne Smith. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Smith, Hilham; four sons, Phillip Smith, Waymond Smith, and Alan Smith, all of Hilham, and Roger Smith, Cookeville; a daughter, Ellen Bilbrey, Hilham; a sister, Wylodean Thompson, Livingston; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.

Roscoe Thompson
Funeral services for Mr. Roscoe Thompson, 69, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Pastor James Spicer and Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Thompson, a carpenter, died Sunday, November 7, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born April 18, 1930, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Lindsay and Modena Farmer Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Thompson and Danny Thompson; a grandchild; and a special friend, Annie Brown. He was affiliated with the Assembly of God. Survivors include a son, Roger Thompson, Detroit, MI; a daughter, Judy Johnson, Algood; six brothers, Thomas Thompson, Don Thompson, Eugene Thompson, Byrd Thompson, George Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson, all of Michigan; four sisters, Rose McDonald, Livingston, and Reba Thompson, Barbara Buccerie, and Paulette Dunford, all of Michigan; six grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. Pallbearers were Kenny Hix, Dwight Ledbetter, Tim Auberson, Jason Thompson, Steven Thompson, and Chad Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Donny Franklin, Billy Wall, Jimmy Thompson, Bert Thompson, and Joe Don Franklin.

Margie N. Huffer
Funeral services for Mrs. Margie N. Huffer, 87, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Winningham officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Huffer, a housewife, died Thursday, November 11, 1999, at Overton County Nursing Home. Born December 19, 1911, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Myrtie Mae Needham Grimsley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Huffer. She was a member of Monroe Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Arlis Huffer, Livingston, and Freddie Huffer, Monroe; three daughters, Betty Arney and Olene Keisling, both of Monroe, and Fredia Lancaster, Livingston; a sister, Lyda Campbell, Livingston; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dale Keisling, Robert Arney, Steve Lancaster, David Lancaster, Brian Huffer, and Mike Blair.

Teresa Jean Carr
Funeral services for Ms. Teresa Jean Carr, 35, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Stringer officiating. Burial was in Hatcher Hall cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Ms. Carr, a housewife, died Friday, November 12, 1999, at her home. Born September 11, 1964, in Lincoln Park, MI, she was the daughter of the late Robert Fred and Omagene Winningham Garrett. She was a member of First United Pentacostal Church. Survivors include her grandmother, Dorothy Winningham, Cookeville; a son, Kevin Carr, Livingston; two daughters, Lisa Winters and Ashley Winters, both of Livingston; a brother, James Garrett, Detroit, MI; a sister, Pat Maulding, Livingston; and two grandchildren, Caleb Boles and Skyler Winters. Pallbearers were Dwain Winningham, Archie Winningham, Donald Winningham, Clifford Garrett, Eric Turner, and Nathan Turner.

Jerry Meadows Sadler
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Meadows Sadler, 41, of Brentwood and formerly of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 1999, from Livingston Church of Christ with Bro. Chris Coil and Bro. Glen McDoniel officiating. Burial with military honors by the Naval Reserve of Memphis was in Rob Draper Memorial cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Sadler, a pilot for Federal Express, died Thursday, November 11, 1999, at his home. Born June 12, 1958, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John Fowler and Mary Anderson Sadler. He was a member of Livingston Church of Christ. He was lieutenant commander in the Naval Reserves, awarded the U.S. Navy Wings of Gold, and the recipient of two naval achievement medals. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Poindexter Sadler, Brentwood; a son, John Logan Sadler, Brentwood; two daughters, Rebecca Sadler and Alison Sadler, both of Brentwood; four brothers, Dr. John Sadler, Washington, Kenneth Sadler, Chattanooga, David Sadler, Livingston, and Donnie Sadler, Cookeville; three sisters, Nan Sadler and Gale Little, both of Cookeville, and Dr. Diane Sadler, Livingston; 19 nieces and nephews; and 15 great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Dr. John Sadler, Kenneth Sadler, David Sadler, Don Sadler, Dan Bartula, and Bob Stewart.

Bob Selby
Funeral services for Mr. Bob Selby, 63, of Monterey, will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, July 14, 1999, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Floyd and Rev. Charlie Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Springs cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in Monterey in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Selby, a heavy equipment operator, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born March 3, 1936, in Rensselar, IN, he was the son of the late Gerald and Eliza Henry Selby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Selby.

Survivors include three sons, Randy Selby, Richard Selby, and Ronnie Selby, all of Cookeville; a sister, Cora Henry, Monterey; two brothers, Dave Selby and Comer Selby, both of Monterey; and five grandchildren.

Audie Mae Sells
Funeral services for Mrs. Audie May Sells, 81, of Monroe, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Cletis Beason officiating. Burial was in Smith Family cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Sells, a retired school teacher, died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born December 26, 1917, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Euna Huffer Smith.

She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Cordell Sells, Monroe; three sons, Randell Sells, Rickman, Henry Sells, Free Communion Community, and Malcolm Sells, Heard Ridge Community; four daughters, Geraldine Stover, Independence Community, Josephine Bean, Hardy's Chapel Community, and Lillie Ann Sells and Rosalie Merkley, both of Cookeville; a sister, Margie Brown, Memphis; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bill Brown, Bob Brown, Shawn Sells, Stan Morris, Jimmy Smith, and Joey Smith.

Mary A. Seber
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Seber, 70, of Allons, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 1999, from Allons Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Thomas and Rev. John Davis officiating. Burial was in Miller cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Seber, a housewife, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at her home.

Born September, 2, 1928, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late William Anderson and Laura Holt Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ausby Lee Seber.

She was a member of Allons Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Roy Seber and Adam Seber, both of Allons, Kenneth Seber, Algood, Steve Seber, Fellowship Community, and Richard Seber, Red Boiling Springs; four daughters, Kathy Lee Barnwell, Ashville, NC, Sharon Gail Redmon, Nashville, Lisa Marie Ford, Oak Grove Community, and Rebecca Seber, Livingston; a sister, Stella Crabtree, Livingston; 12 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Roy Lee Seber, Kenneth E. Seber, Stephen W. Seber, Richard A. Seber, Adam D. Seber, and Jason Barnwell.

Kimoth Howard Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mr. Kimoth Howard Bilbrey, 89, of McMinnville and formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 1999, from First Baptist Church in Livingston with Bro. Bill Bouldin officiating. Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bilbrey, a farmer, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro. Born May 20, 1910, in Overton County, he was the son of the late George W. and Flora Mae Howard Bilbrey.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Huddleston Bilbrey, McMinnville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sophrona Bilbrey, Old Hickory, and Margaret and Robert Conner Jr., Christiana; a brother, Delon Bilbrey, Old Hickory; three sisters, Velma Peterman, McMinnville, Loverda Upton, Cookeville, and Volcal Cannon, Horse Shoe, NC; three grandchildren, David Conner, Murfreesboro, Kim Conner, McMinnville, and Dennis Conner, Beach Grove; and a great grandson, Jared Conner, Cookeville.

Pallbearers were Gary Bilbrey, Leon Bilbrey, Dewey Bilbrey, Randal Peterman, Dennis Conner, Lyndal Davis, and David Conner. Honorary pallbearer was Jared Conner.

Edith Wolfe
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Wolfe, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, July 5, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Terry McCloud officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Wolfe, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Overton County Nursing Home.

Born June 20, 1912, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Edd and Anna Franklin Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Tootie) Wolfe; a granddaughter, Paula Walker; and a brother, Bill Brown. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Livingston.

Survivors include a son, John Wolfe, Hendersonville; two daughters, Joanna Seagraves and Patsy Wilson, both of Livingston; three sisters, Talmadge Qualls, Livingston, Esther Stults, Marietta, GA, and Ethel Lewis, Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeff Garrett Jr., J.E. Walker, Terry Newberry, Brian Werner, Greg Franklin, and Ronnie Brown.

Marian E. Ramsey
Funeral services for Mrs. Marian E. Ramsey, 78, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 5, 1999, from the chapel of First United Methodist Church in Livingston with Rev. Tom Halliburton and Dr. Don Ragland officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ramsey, a beauty shop operator, died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born February 5, 1921, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Willie D. and Myrtle Deck Clark.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Ramsey. Pallbearers were Ron Moore, Tim Pangle, Louis Oakley, Scott Oakley, Ray Upchurch, Larry Norris, and James Elder.

Dale Reagan
Funeral services for Mr. Dale Reagan, 40, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch, Bro. Bernie Barton, and Bro. Larry Thomas officiating. Burial was in Reagan cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Reagan, a self-employed carpenter, died Friday, July 2, 1999, at his home.

Born September 12, 1958, in Davidson County, he was the son of Lois Smith Reagan of Livingston and the late Buster Reagan.

He was a Christian.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Edith Reagan, Livingston; a son, Casey Reagan, Livingston; a daughter, Christy Reagan, Livingston; and two sisters, Barbara Reagan, Cookeville, and Beverly Reagan, Spring Hill.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Little, Keith Vaughn, Lonnie White, Jimmy Savage, Fred Ashburn, and Donnie Whited.

Frances A. Scott Winningham
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances A. Scott Winningham, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Winningham officiating. Burial was in Hatcher Hall cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Winningham, a retired school teacher, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born March 8, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Clarice Lacy Keisling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Roy Scott.

She was a member of Monroe Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Sherlie A. Winningham, Livingston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Viann and Stephen McCormick, Nashville, and Gail and Harlie McCowan, Monterey; a brother, Charles Keisling, Monroe; an aunt, Eva McGregor, Mont Eagle; six grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a special friend, Dixie White, Livingston.

Pallbearers were Stephen McCormick, Harlie McCowan, Scott McCormick, Shawn Crabtree, Britt Keisling, and Johnny F. Coleman.

Marty Allen Geesling
Funeral services for Mr. Marty Allen Geesling, 24, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Collins officiating. Burial was in Allen Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Geesling, a welder and farmer, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born May 23, 1975, in Overton County, he was the son of Charles and Nelda Allen Geesling of the Greenbrier Community.

He was a member of Frogtown Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Jenny Marie Geesling, Livingston; a son, Ethan Geesling, Livingston; and a brother, Scott Geesling, Greenbrier Community.

Pallbearers were Jason Bilbrey, Jesse Taylor, J.B. Dailey, Lowell Logan, Terry Hatfield, and Junior Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Pryor and Scott Gunnels.
