Howard Emerton
Funeral services for Mr. Howard Emerton, 63, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Harris officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Emerton died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He worked for the Department of Transportation/State of Tennessee.

Born March 18, 1938, in Celina, he was the son of the late Joe and Linnie (Goolsby) Emerton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Hampton, Thelma Jo Emerton, and Rose Copeland.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue (Copeland) Emerton, Livingston; three sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Sheila Emerton, Knoxville, Tim and Yvette Emerton, Livingston, and Jeff and Tonya Emerton, Hilham; five brothers, Fred Emerton, George Emerton, Charles Emerton, and Ray Emerton, all of Celina, and Glen Emerton, Indiana; a sister, Lucy Copeland, Celina; three grandchildren, Casey Marie Emerton, Caitlin Emerton, and Jamie Emerton; and a special friend, Mabel Mullins.

Pallbearers were Ross Probst, David Franklin, L.B. Linder, Kelly Hill, John McDonald, Jerry Boles, Gabe Sells, Bernie Winningham, and Tony Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers were the Department of Transportation employees.

Erma Corbin
Funeral services for Mrs. Erma Mae (Holman) Corbin, 83, of Nashville, were conducted Saturday, July 14, 2001, from the chapel of Madison Funeral Home in Madison, TN, with Rev. Jimmy Clark officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens in Springfield, TN, with Austin and Bell Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Corbin died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at her home. She was a member of Alders Gate Methodist Church.

Born August 21, 1917, in Robertson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Lena (Mason) Holman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Bartlett Corbin; and three brothers, Riley Holman, Roy Holman, and Miles Holman.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn C. and Mike Elder, Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Jerry and Carol Corbin, Old Hickory, TN; and six grandchildren, Lisa Smallwood, Hermitage, Mike Elder and wife Myra, Jonesboro, TN, Tim Smallwood and wife Donna, Antioch, Chuck Elder and wife Natalia, Navare, FL, Staci Bentley and husband Ramsey, Leavenworth, KS, and Casey Corbin, Hermitage.

Darrell Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Bilbrey, 35, of Livingston, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 25, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. David Corley and Rev. David Harris officiating. Burial will be in Welch Memorial cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bilbrey died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was employed at Livingston Manufacturing Company.

Born December 4, 1965, in Dayton, OH, he was the son of Ernest and the late Willene (Reels) Bilbrey.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include two daughters, Hanna Bilbrey and Emily Bilbrey, both of Livingston; three brothers, Jerry Bilbrey, Rickman, and Lannie Bilbrey and Sammy Bilbrey, both of Monterey; and two sisters, Pamela Bowman, Rickman, and Candy Henly, Baxter.

Ruth C. Harville
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth C. Harville, 83, of Cookeville, were conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Minister James Castro officiating. Burial was in the Campground cemetery in Overton County with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Harville died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a health care provider and of the Baptist faith.

Born December 19, 1917, in Cookeville, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Nancy Belle (Sidwell) Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Harville; four sisters, Bethene Harris, Sarah Warren, Dellie Warren, and Stella Gentry; and three brothers, Wint Warren, Jim Warren, and Brian Warren.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lora Harville, Cookeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma (Polson) and Ralph Wilmoth, Cookeville, and Barbara ane Joe Fisher, Florida; a sister-in-law, Oneida Garrett, Cookeville; ten grandchildren, Mickey Thompson, Kassie Polson, Crystal Polson, Jamie Heiss, Tiffany Harville, D.J. Harville, Debbie Roberts, Pat Fisher, Lisa Fisher, and Jennifer Fisher; ten great grandchildren, three local, Emily Polson, Olivia Thompson, and Carrie Thompson, all of Cookeville; and two special friends, Kenneth and Alta Morgan, Cookeville.

Pallbearers were Charles Warren, James E. Warren, Ronnie Robinson, Chad Heiss, Albert Thompson, Danny Garrett, and Willard Vaughn Jr.

M. Evelyn Ray
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Ray, 63, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 23, 1999, from Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Farris and Rev. James Phillips officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ray, a retired hair dresser, died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born March 7, 1936, in Monterey, she was the daughter of the late James Tinch and Ova Phillips Tinch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Geller.

She was a member of Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her second husband, Loye Ray, Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Tracey Geller, Lewisville, TX; four step-children, Kim Ray, Anderson, IN, Marlin Ray, Rickman, Greg Ray, Cookeville, and Shelly and Tony Thomas, Markleville, IN; two brothers, James Tinch, Monroe, and Herman Lee Tinch, Panama City, FL; two sisters, Mary Phillips, Anderson, IN, and Myrtle Phillips, Crossville; three grandchildren, Heather Geller, Ginger Geller, and T.J. Gellar; and seven step-grandchildren, Shawn Ray, Jamie Ray, Sarah Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Sadie Ray, Cody Ray, and Heather Ray.

Artha Marie Garrett
Funeral services for Mrs. Artha Marie Garrett, 82, of Goodlettsville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 1999, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Thaxton officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Garrett, a homemaker, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Hendersonville Hospital.

Born July 11, 1916, in Fentress County, she was the daughter of the late John and Sara York Crisp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Escue Garrett; and a daughter, Sue Buckner.

She was a member of Hendersonville Pentacostal Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Nell Twomey and Joann Marvel, both of Goodlettsville, Opal Towne, Dickson, and Patsy Powell, Greenbrier; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Twomey, Jeff Garrett, Jason Mitchell, Mike Marvel, Jeff Powell, Greg Buckner, Tim Buckner, and David Buckner.

Nola Ellis
Funeral services for Mrs. Nola Ellis, 77, were conducted at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 1999, from the chapel of Highland South Funeral Home in Knoxville with Bro. Kendal Melton and Bro. Keith Stapleton officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery in Knoxville.

Mrs. Ellis died Tuesday, June 8, 1999.

Born February 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Lee and Dorie Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ellis; two sons, Ralph Deck and Donald Deck; one brother Thurman Dixon; and one sister, Mazell Dixon.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include four children; one sister, Bertie Mansell, Livingston; two brothers, O.L. Dixon, Tipton, IN, and Homer Dixon, Knoxville; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Anna Lee Reynolds
Funeral services for Ms. Anna Lee Reynolds, 63, of Pompano Beach, FL, were conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 1999, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Gene Schmid officiating. Burial was in McDonald cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Reynolds, an assembly person in the automotive industry, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach, FL.

Born October 20, 1935, in Celina, she was the daughter of the late William Herman Spivey and Mariam McClain Spivey.

She was a Catholic.

Survivors include her two sons, Larry Reynolds, Commerce, MI, and Thomas Reynolds, Pompano Beach, FL; a daughter, Linda Dort, Willimantic, CT; two brothers, Jerls Spivey, Celina, and Bill Spivey, Jackson, GA; five sisters, Marie Dulworth, Cookeville, Bonnie Daily, Algood, Bertha Lyons, Russelville, KY, Velma Phillips, Monterey, and Debbie Tinsley, Livingston; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wayne Dulworth, Adam Tinsley, Jeremy Pedigo, Danny Tinsley, Billy Pedigo, and Barney Phillips.

Thomas Richard Adams
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Richard Adams, 57, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with minister Ronnie Parsons officiating. Burial was in the Tinsley cemetery in Celina with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Adams died Friday, June 22, 2001. He was a maintenance supervisor at the Nursing Home.

Born September 4, 1943, in Celina, he was the son of the late Haskell and Myrtle (Adams) Adams.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Adams, and Toby Adams, both of Indiana; a daughter, Patricia Scott, Celina; three sisters, Morene Adams, and Bonzie Guffey, both of Celina, and Betty Staggs, Allons; and two grandchildren.

Thomas Crosby Seaman Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Crosby Seaman Jr., 67, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Dr. David Moore, Rev. Ronald Whited, and Rev. Tom Halliburton officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Seaman Jr., died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was owner of Tom's Discount Drugs, a pharmacist, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Born February 23, 1934, in Alcorn, Corinth, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Thomas Crosby Sr. and Maxine (Sanders) Seaman.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Seaman, Livingston; two sons, Thomas Seaman, III, Memphis, and Ross Dewberry, Murfreesboro; two daughters, Kelly Stover, Livingston, and Amy Thurman, LaVergne; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alan Atnip, Larry Eldridge, John Officer, John Turnbull, Todd Tietgens, Jack Crabtree, Charles Langford, and Beau Higgingbottom. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ron Moore, Lynn King, James Elder, and L.G. Puckett, III.
