Louise Ledbetter

Funeral services for Miss Louise Ledbetter, 79, of the Rocky Point Community, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2001, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Bobby Floyd officiating.

Burial was in the Campground cemetery in Clarkrange, with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Ledbetter died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Standing Stone Health Care Center in Monterey. She was a homemaker.

Born December 8, 1921, in Wilder, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Fannie Ledbetter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lila Bright Phillips and Lilly Franklin; and two brothers, Lonnie Ray Ledbetter and Luster Ledbetter.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Bessie Ramsey

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Ramsey, 78, of Springfield, MI, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2001, at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev. Morris F. Anderson officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery with Bachman Hebble Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ramsey died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Borgess Medical Center at Kalamazoo, MI. She was a homemaker.

She attended school in Tennessee and moved to the Springfield area in 1951.

Born September 7, 1922, in Livingston, she was the daughter of William "Luther" and Lee E. (Walker) Carr.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carver D. Carr, Monroe Carr, and Woodrow Carr, and three sisters, Laura Krantz, Zola Norrod, and Dorothy Ashby.

Survivors include her husband, Malcus D. Ramsey; two sons, Carlos A. Ramsey and Lenord D. Ramsey, both of Battle Creek, MI; a daughter, Norma G. Carr, Battle Creek; two brothers, Robert "Gentry" Carr and Edward D. "Bud" Carr, both of Anderson, IN; a sister, Avo Cantrell, Anderson;¹ five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Lyle Clebert Martin

Funeral services for Mr. Lyle Clebert Martin, 79, of Allons, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2001, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with A.J. Cox officiating.

Burial was in the Hunter Cove cemetery in Allons with military honors conducted by the James T. Davis Memorial Post #5062 with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Martin died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

He was a farmer, merchant, veteran, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and a member of the Allons Church of Christ.

Born January 20, 1922, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Robert and Nora (Ferrell) Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nova (Smith) Martin; a brother, Loy Martin; and a sister, Clarie Martin.

Survivors include his family, Ronald and Phyllis Hall, Rhonda and David Smith, Ronald and Amy Hall, Terra, Rodney, Hannah, and several cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Don Brown, Ronald Hall, Mike Lowery, "Peck" Smith, David Smith, and Rodney Smith.

Eppie H. Boles

Funeral services for Mrs. Eppie H. Boles, 100, of Maryville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2001, from Maxwell Chapel Church of God with Rev. Rex Boles officiating.

Burial was in the Maxwell Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Boles died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at her home in Maryville.

She was a housewife and a member of the Maxwell Chapel 1st Church of God.

Born June 15, 1901, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Georgie and Dora (Langford) Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Simpson Boles.

Survivors include three sons, Clyde Boles, and Georgie B. Boles, both of Hilham, and Rex Boles, McMinnville; two daughters, Lola Sullivan and Lillian Grossi, both of Maryville; a sister, Frona Hill, Sparta; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Don Sullivan, Darrell Boles, Michael Matheny, Tom Grossi, Jeff Bilyeu, and Jerry Bilyeu.

Bertie Mae (Wright) Colson

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Mae (Wright) Colson, 90, of Willow Grove Road, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2001, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Ledbetter officiating.

Burial was in the Fellowship cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Colson died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Willow Grove Church of Christ.

Born December 4, 1910, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late William Porter and Flora Elizabeth (Stover) Wright.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Colson; and a brother, Willie D. Wright.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jewell and J.C. Reagan, and Nettie and J.T. Daniels, all of Allons; a son, W.C. Colson, Allons; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jason Boles, Landon Melton, Dwayne Blakely, Scotty Reagan, Anthony Blakely, and James Carl Reagan Jr.

BETTY J. (MEANS) TAYSE

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty J. (Means) Tayse, 65, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2000, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.

Burial was in the Hillcrest cemetery in Albany, KY, with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Tayse, a retired restaurant employee, died Monday, November 13, 2000, at her home.

Born October 13, 1935, in Livingston, she was the daughter of Docia Wilborn Means of Albany, KY, and the late John L. Means.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Means.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Bryan Tayse, Gainesboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Brenda Tayse, Gainesboro, and Troy and Brandi Tayse, Baxter; a daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Donny Bartholomew, Celina; a brother, Charles Means, Anderson, IN; four sisters, Johnnie Means and Janice Fay Allred, both of Albany, KY, Sandy Shook, Blue Springs, MO, and Shelby Ferrell, New Castle, IN; and three step-grandchildren.

HELEN EMILY SCHMITZ

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Emily Schmitz, 80, of Celina, and formerly of Lemont, IL, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Edward Todd officiating.

Burial was in the Fitzgerald cemetery in Celina with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Schmitz, a homemaker, died Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born October 20, 1920, in Ravenden, AR, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Allie Sanders Raymond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy, Libby, Beulah, and Jesse; a brother, Gene Raymond; and a granddaughter, Tiffany.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Schmitz; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Robert Johnson, Lemont, IL; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Emma and Pete Detomatis, Edie and Charles Birks, Celina, Ruth Staneart, Portland, OR, and Catherine and Gene Pearman, Missouri; three grandchildren, Robert Johnson and wife Lynn, Cary, IL, Brandy Knieg and husband Larry, Celina, and Heather Johnson, Lemont; and two great grandchildren.

RANDY ARGUS RHOTON

Funeral services for Mr. Randy Argus Rhoton, 38, of Cookeville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000, from the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home in Cookeville with Rev. Russell Miller and Rev. Roger Cooper officiating.

Burial was in the Fellowship cemetery with Hooper and Huddleston in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Rhoton, a factory worker, died Thursday, November 16, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born December 15, 1961, in Jackson County, he was the son of Hallie Lucille Roach Rhoton of Celina and the late Argus Lowell 'Bud' Rhoton.

He was employed with Fleetguard Corporation in the receiving department.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Knight's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Kimberly Kay Hendricks Rhoton, Cookeville; a son, Joshua Rhoton, Cookeville; a step-son, John Short, Cookeville; a sister, Kendra Smith, Hilham; a brother, Bruce Rhoton, Celina; a half-brother, Lowell Rhoton, Louisiana; and a half-sister, Deborah Boswell.
