Michael Jones
AMITYVILLE, N.Y. - Michael Lebron Jones Jr. died Monday, May 10, 1999, at his home. He was 28.

Survivors include his parents, Frances and Michael Lebron Jones Sr.; brother and sister, Marlon and Melanie Jones, Amityville, N.Y.; grandmother, Savarie Jones, Chattanooga.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Amityville.

Arrangements are by Richard W. Hasgill Funeral Home, Amityville.

This announcement is by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Clarence McEntire LONG BEACH, Calif. - Clarence L. McEntire died Jan. 14, 1999, in a hospital in Long Beach. He was 72.

A memorial graveside service will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Local arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Hazel Sanders
LAKE WALES, Fla. - Hazel Sanders died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, in Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 73.

She was a homemaker and attended First Assembly of God Church in Lake Wales. She was the widow of Edward S. Sanders.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Sanders and Shirley Coffey, both of Lake Wales, and Judy Delongchamp, Miami; three sons, Ireland Sanders, Lake Placid, Fla., Dannie Sanders, Sebring, Fla., and Randall Sanders, Brandon, Fla.; brother, Andrew Jackson, Whitwell, Tenn.; a sister, Amanda Davidson, Chattanooga; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be Saturday in Lake Wales.

Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales is in charge of arrangements.

Flora Carter
Flora Jane Carter of Signal Mountain, a native of Scott County, Tenn., died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at her home.

A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Mel Crosson officiating.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, West.

Gene Chewning
Gene Chewning of East Brainerd died Monday, April 5, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 63.

Arrangements will be announced by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Ruby Cook
Ruby K. Cook died Friday, April 2, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 75.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom L. Cook.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Gary Dean
Gary Lamar Dean died Monday, April 5, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 46.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of the former James Street Baptist Church.

He received a black belt in tae kwon do and was an avid softball player.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Dean Jr., and a daughter, Tiffany Dean.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Morgan, Soddy-Daisy, and Paige Dean Brock; his mother, Virginia Dean, Rossville; two brothers, Jerry Dean, Rossville, and Jimmy Dean, East Ridge; one granddaughter and a stepgrandson.

The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Marvin Fowler officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael Germany
Michael Germany of Hixson died Monday, April 5, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 21.

Arrangements will be announced by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Martin Gross
Martin Gross died Saturday, April 3, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 82.

Mr. Gross was a native of Big Springs, Tenn., and was retired from Abex Co. after 35 years. He also was employed by Hills Flowers for many years.

He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and was a former active member of Trinity-Woodmore United Methodist Church.

He was a member of Ridgedale Masonic Lodge 660 F&AM; for more than 50 years, and was a Boy Scout leader and Little League coach.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Gross.

Survivors include a daughter, Dottie Sandusky, State College, Pa.; a son, Robert 'Bob' Gross, Chattanooga; three brothers, George and Lewis Gross, both of Chattanooga, and Bob Gross, Miami; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with the Rev. Charles Arms officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Village or The Second Mile, P.O. Box 9616, State College, PA 16801.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Sidney Gullatt
Sidney Gullatt died Friday, April 2, 1999, in a local nursing home. He was 75.

Mr. Gullatt was an Army veteran and was retired from Cotton Chemical Co.

Survivors include a cousin, William Robert Scott, Chattanooga.

A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Walter Cross officiating.

Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Thelma Hutcheson
Thelma VanEvery Hutcheson, formerly of Chattanooga, died Friday, April 2, 1999, in Danville, Va. She was 91.

She was the widow of Bruce L. Hutcheson Sr.

Survivors include a son, Bruce L. Hutcheson, Danville; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. G. Everett Gossett officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North.

Lonnie Jenkins
Lonnie Mae Jenkins died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at her home. She was 70.

Mrs. Jenkins was retired from Norma's Restaurant and was a member of Avondale Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Craig.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Jenkins; six sons, Clifford, Edward, Robert, Reginald, Ronald and Michael Craig, all of Chattanooga; stepdaughter, Raynella Jenkins, Ohio; brother, Edward Houston, Chattanooga; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with brother Gerald Taylor Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Marion Johnson Marion Johnson died Friday, April 2, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 97.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Helen Kelley
Helen Kelley of Harrison died Saturday, April 3, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 74.

She was a native of Tulsa, Okla., and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area.

She was retired from Ullenberg Inc.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Weathers; and a brother, Bobby Higdon.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara K. Smith, Harrison; son, Bill Kelley, Huntington, Md.; sister, Doris Wells, East Ridge; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.

A graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. in Greenwood cemetery with the Rev. Jim Price officiating.

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

James McCullough
James Edwin McCullough of Soddy-Daisy died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at his home. He was 78.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at First-Centenary United Methodist Church with Dr. Albert Bowles Jr. and the Rev. David Harr officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today one hour before the service at the church.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, North.

George Moore
George Matthew Moore of East Ridge died Monday, April 5, 1999, at his home. He was 67.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the Boilermakers Union.

Survivors include four sons, George M. Moore Jr., San Jose, Calif., Randy M. Moore and Donnie D. Moore, both of East Ridge; and Carl Richard Coppinger, Chattanooga; three daughters, George Anna Moore, San Jose, Clata Long and Teresa Ann Woodward, both of East Ridge; brother, Jack Moore, East Ridge; sister, Betty Weathers, Chattanooga; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Ronald Ingram officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary Neal
Mary J. Neal died Monday, April 5, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 79.

Arrangements will be announced by Chattanooga Funeral Home, East.
