Hazel Jewett
SPRING CITY - Hazel L. Jewett died Monday, May 10, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 89.

Eddie Johnson
NASHVILLE - Eddie James Johnson died recently at his home. He was 56.
Formerly of Chattanooga, he was a graduate of Howard High School and attended Tennessee State University and John A. Gupton Mortuary College.
He retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Correction as a lieutenant after 35 years of service.
Survivors include his mother, Emma Jean Johnson; father, Eddie James Johnson Sr., Chattanooga; three daughters, Deborah Louise Perrin, Mary R. Littleton and Shirley A. Fuller, all of Nashville; a sister, Sherrie R. Jackson, Chattanooga; two brothers, Deon and Richard Johnson, both of Chattanooga.
Services will be Wednesday at First Baptist Church of South Englewood in Nashville.
Arrangements are by Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Nashville.

Eugene Sinclair
DAYTON - Eugene L. 'Hook' Sinclair died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 76.
Mr. Sinclair was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, a retired farmer and a member of Waldens Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He was the father of the late Darell Sinclair.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Sinclair; two sons, Buddy Sinclair, Dayton, and Charles Sinclair, Spring City, Tenn.; two daughters, Wanda Hoover, Pikeville, Tenn., and Barbara Haley, Whitwell, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with pastor Homer Barrett and pastor Woodson Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Agee cemetery in Pikeville.

CLEVELAND - Mildred I. Teague died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at her home. She was 75.

ATHENS - Edna Wilson Womac died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 80.
Mrs. Womac was a retired lunchroom manager from Westside School, a member of First Baptist Church of Athens and the widow of Dewey E. Womac.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Scarbrough, Athens; brother, James C. Burris, Athens; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Jerry Smith Funeral Home.

GUNTERSVILLE - Robert Robinson, formerly of Fyffe, Ala., died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 55.

Mary Davis
HOUSTON, Texas - Mary Beatrice Dalton Davis died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, in Houston.
She was a graduate of University of Oklahoma in Norman. She taught at Washington Elementary in Norman for several years before moving to St. Louis, Mo., where she received her master's degree and her education degree from Washington University. She then served as head of the elementary education department at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
In 1949 she moved to Chattanooga, where she taught at the University of Chattanooga from 1949 to 1961. She served as headmistress of the Bright School until 1970.
She was the widow of Everett Davis and a member of First Christian Church in Norman.
Survivors include a niece, Marilyn Huskey of Houston; several great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be today in Oklahoma.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 220 S. Webster Ave., Norman, OK 73071.

Gary Brock
CLEVELAND - Gary Dale Brock died Monday, May 10, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 33.
Mr. Brock was a native of Cook County, Ill., and had lived in Cleveland for the past 17 years. He was a construction worker and attended the Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Lynn Brock; father, Gary Hankins, Illinois; mother, Betty Price, Cleveland; brother, Claude 'C.K.' Adkins, Cleveland; four sisters, Rhonda Beal and Dawn Kersey, both of Cleveland, Crystal and Charity Hankins, both of Illinois; grandparents, John and Marie Hankins; one niece and five nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Sears officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Hill cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
