Josephine Williams died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Mary Williams
Mary H. Williams died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 88.

Services will be held today at noon at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold K. Lester officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Avondale Chapel, Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Annie Wise
Annie O. Wise died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 52.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga.

Roy Bennett Jr.
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Roy Martin Bennett Jr. of Prescott, Ariz., and formerly of Bradley County, died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Dunlap, Tenn. He was 67.

Arrangements will be announced by the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home.

Billie Bradshaw CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Billie Gerald Bradshaw died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at her home. She was 69.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan Harper officiating.

Burial will be in Fort Hill cemetery.

Enid Brewer
SWEETWATER, Tenn. - Enid Alice Gaston Brewer died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 97.

She was the widow of Danny H. Brewer. She had been a member of Sweetwater United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and had managed movie theaters in Sweetwater for over 60 years.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Kyker Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West View cemetery in Sweetwater.

The family will receive friends Sunday form 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sweetwater United Methodist Church.

Mary Brewer
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Mary Lou Brewer died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 80.

She was the widow of Joe Brewer and attended the Church of God.

Survivors include one son, Billy Goodwin, Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Yules Simpson and the Rev. Grady Simpson officiating.

Burial will be in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

Louise Dobbs
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Louise Dobbs died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 75.

Arrangements will be announced by Grissom Funeral Home.

Odess Ellison
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Odess Ellison died Friday, March 5, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 85.

He was preceded in death by three wives, Cassie Ellison, Cardealy Ellison, and Bernice Gail Ellison.

Mr. Ellison was a retired coal miner with Black Eagle and was a Baptist.

Survivors include seven sons, James 'Bud' C. Ellison, Bradenton, Fla., Ben Ellison, Michigan, Henry White, Illinois, Johnny, Odess Jr., Ned C., and Rickey Ellison, all of Cleveland; six daughters, Mary Alice Nunn, Washington, Christine Lay, Virginia Robinson, and Norma Jean Ellison, all of Cleveland, Cardealy Ellison, Bruce Gap, Tenn., and JoAnn Stewart, Calhoun, Tenn.; two brothers, Jimmy Ellison, Jacksboro, Tenn., and Sylvester Ellison, Jellico, Tenn.; three sisters, Opal Keller and Viola Cox, both of Maryville, Tenn., and Roberta Beard, Palmetto, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in LaFollette, Tenn., with the Rev. J.C. Morrow officiating.

Burial will be in Terry Creek cemetery in Elk Valley, Tenn.

The family will receive friends all day today at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home and Sunday afternoon at Martin Funeral Home in LaFollette.

James Frederick
McDONALD, Tenn. - James L. Frederick died Thursday, March 4, 1999. He was 85.

He was a member of Burlington Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Garnette Lucus Frederick, McDonald; two daughters, Greta Davis, Chattanooga, and Diana Banks, McDonald; one son, Gary Frederick, Soddy-Daisy; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Salyer Banks and the Rev. Charles Bowlin officiating.

Burial will be in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

John Geitner
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - John 'Larry' Geitner Jr. of Dandridge, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Norman, Okla.

He was a former resident of Cleveland, where he was employed as a respiratory director at Bradley Memorial Hospital for 20 years.

Mr. Geitner was serving as the cardio-pulmonary manager at Norman Regional Medical Center. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleveland., and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Snyder Geitner.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ward Geitner, Dandridge; one son, Erik Geitner, Dandridge; one daughter, Rebekah Faulkner, Nashville; his father, John L. Geitner Sr.; and a sister, Janet Geitner, both of Cleveland.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Fred Dearing and the Rev. Charles Copeland officiating.

Burial will be in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are by Grissom Funeral Home.

Ruby Hicks
ATHENS, Tenn. - Ruby Helen Hicks died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 81.

A native of Fannin County, Ga., she was a member of East Athens Baptist Church and its Lydia Sunday School Class.

She was retired from Burlington Industries in Cleveland, and was the widow of Willie H. Hicks.

Survivors include two sons, Justin Hicks and Carey O. Hicks, Athens; two grandchildren and two nephews.

Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Mullins and the Rev. Arliss Slack officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Vola Lemons
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Vola G. Lemons died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 90.

She was a charter member of Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church and the widow of S.M. Lemons.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley J. Stroop, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one son, Buddy M. Lemons, Nashville; two sisters, Beryl Huff, Cleveland, and Clifford Ryder, Las Vegas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Fike Funeral Home with pastor Steve Haley officiating.

Burial will be in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to he Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church building fund, 300 Westview Dr., Cleveland, TN 37311.

Elizabeth Myers
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Elizabeth Myers died Thursday, March 5, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 70.

She was retired from Duracell, and was a member of Fourth Street Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Myers, Cleveland; two stepsons, David Myers, Dalton, Ga., and Mike Myers, Cleveland; stepdaughter, Darlene Swafford, Cleveland; three sisters, Helen Smith and Katherine Hacker, both of Athens, Tenn., and Evelyn Morrow, Cleveland; five brothers, Charles Key, Athens, Clifton Key and Billy Key, Riceville, Tenn., J.R. Key, Cleveland, and Donald Key, Cohutta, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Fourth Street Community Church with the Rev. Ed Henderson and the Rev. Joe Shultz officiating.

Burial will be in Riceville cemetery .

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kenny Myers
COALMONT, Tenn. - James Kenny Myers died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in a Nashville hospital. He was 57.

He was a truck driver for Randy McDaniel Trucking and was preceded in death by his father, Carl Myers, and a grandmother, Jennie Morgan.

Survivors include one daughter, Kyra Myers Braden, Palmer, Tenn.; his mother, Mabel Myers, Coalmont; one sister, Jean Darr, Coalmont; and a grandson.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Cumberland Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony King and the Rev. Billy Deon King officiating.

Burial will be in Coalmont cemetery.

Sadie Prince
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Sadie L. Swinford Prince died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 77.

She attended Freedom Worship Church and was preceded in death by a son, Thomas M. Prince.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph H. Prince; two daughters, Mary Womac, Charleston, Tenn., and Estelle Powell, Athens, Tenn.; three sons, Donald Prince, Birchwood, Tenn., and Terry and Calvin Prince, both of Cleveland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Davis and the Rev. Bill Walker officiating.

Burial will be in New Friendship Baptist Church cemetery.

Horace Steele
JASPER, Tenn. - Horace William Steele died Friday, March 5, 1999, in Grandview Medical Center. He was 81.

Survivors include three sons, Herschel Steele, Chattanooga, Glenn Steele, Trenton, Ga., and Ronnie Steele, Ringgold, Ga.; daughter, Kathy Neal, Ooltewah; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. CST at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Cowan Montgomery cemetery.

Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. CST.
