Ann Reynolds died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at her home. She was 86.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with the Rev. Bill Mason officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405, or to the Morris Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 1804 Morris Hill Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Raymond Stargin
Raymond Stargin Jr. died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in a local hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home.

Roy Vance Roy D. 'Dick' Vance of Signal Mountain died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 86.

A memorial service will be today at 2 p.m. at Alexian Village Chapel with Dr. A. Richard Childress officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Signal Mountain Baptist Church building fund.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Elmer Van Wagner
Elmer A. Van Wagner III of Soddy-Daisy died Wednesday, March 10, 1999. He was 64.

Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at St. Martin's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gary Callahan officiating.

Arrangements are by East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to United Scleroderma Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 350, Watsonville, CA 95077.

Samuel Williams died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at his home. He was 56.

Lillie Wofford died Friday, March 12, 1999, in a local nursing home.

James T. Wright of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in an area hospital.

William Zunker
William F. Zunker of Hixson died Friday, March 12, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 77.

Arrangements will be announced by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

John Basham
WHITWELL, Tenn. - John H. Basham died Tuesday, March 11, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 66.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Cumberland Mountain Church of God with the Rev. Dwight Henderson, the Rev. David Cranmore and the Rev. David Vinson officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.

Arrangements are by Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home.

Pauline Burgner
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Pauline Elizabeth Burgner died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 92.

She was the widow of Arthur Samuel Burgner and the mother of the late Junior, Linda and Bill Burgner and Georgia Szczepanik.

She attended Sugar Creek Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Dana and Don Burgner, Cleveland, and Bobbie Burgner, Athens; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Arms officiating.

Burial will be in Fort Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frank Clark
ETOWAH, Tenn. - Frank McKinley Clark died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at a local hospital. He was 73.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Firestone officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hill cemetery.

John Curbow
BENTON, Tenn. - John Donovan 'Don' Curbow died Thursday, Mary 11, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 79.

He retired from TVA after 42 years of service. He was a power plant superintendent of the Ocoee Hydro plants and a member of the IBEW for 55 years.

Mr. Curbow was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Ocoee Lodge 212 F&AM;, Lions Club, and the First Baptist Church of Benton.

Survivors include his wife, Deryl Crawford Curbow; two sons, Gary Curbow, Newport News, Va., and Tim Curbow, Friendsville, Tenn.; daughter, Angie Sanford, Benton; three sisters, Charlene Love, Etowah, Betty Cowan and Dolores Blood, both of Renton, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be today at 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Linginfelter officiating.

Burial will be in Benton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 326, Benton, TN 37307.

Ella Davis
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Ella Westfield Davis died Thursday, March 1, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 95.

She was a longtime resident of Bradley County, a former employee of TNT and the widow of Weston Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Wadie Davis and Edwin Davis, Cleveland; one daughter, Sally Meredith, Cleveland; 33 grandchildren; and 84 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Fort Hill cemetery.

The family will receive friends after noon Sunday at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Carolyn Elliott
NIOTA, Tenn. - Carolyn Hutsell Elliott died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in a Nashville hospital. She was 65.

A native and longtime resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late William Clyde and Sarah Elizabeth Hackler Hutsell.

She was an active member and a former Sunday school teacher at Sewee Church of God. She worked for the McMinn County Trustee's Office for 19 years and also for Bell Telephone Co.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Elliott; two daughters, Sandy Smith, Niota, and Lori Donegan, Riceville; one son, Keith Elliott, Athens; three sisters, Winona Axley, Graham, N.C., and Blanche Landers and Betsy Elliott, both of Athens; three brothers, Joe Hutsell, Riceville, and Roy and Don Hutsell, Athens; and five grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams and the Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating.

Burial will be in Sewee cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leota Giles
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Leota Grace Giles of South Pittsburg, Tenn., died Thursday, March 11, 1999. She was 79.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. CDT in Kerby Funeral Home Chapel in Henagar, Ala., with the Rev. Jimmy Hixon officiating.

Burial will be in Smith cemetery in Flat Rock, Ala.

Douglas Green
DECATUR, Tenn. - Douglas Wayne Green died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at his home. He was 45.

A native of Etowah and a resident of Meigs County for several years, he was a son of the late Roy and Iris Shugart Green and a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, April Green, Coker Creek, Tenn.; two sisters, Omega Green, Calhoun, Ga., and Vernieca Motta, Interlachen, Fla.; four brothers, Floyd, David, and Buford Green, all of Decatur, and Zendall Green, Cartersville, Ga.; three half sisters, Wanda lvis, Jerri Anderson, and Dorothy Cameron, all of Knoxville.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral home with the Rev. R.B. Bryan officiating.

Burial will be in New Zion cemetery.

Steven Guffey
ATHENS, Tenn. - Steven Michael 'Steve' Guffey died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 37.

A native and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was a member of Woodward Avenue Church of God and was an employee of Jackson Furniture Industries of Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hambright.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Joe Guffey, Athens; his father and stepmother, Wayne Paul and Helen Guffey, Carroll, Ohio; three brothers, Paul Guffey, Riceville, Tenn., Clifford Guffey, Lancaster, Ohio, and Simeon Guffey, Carroll; two sisters, Rachel Guffey and Sherry Gibson, Carroll.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Ogle Wattenbarger officiating.

Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Marion Hall
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Marion Willard Hall Sr. died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at his home. He was 67.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Cleveland Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Isaac Walker and the Rev. Marc Pizzola officiating.

Burial will be at Lenoir City cemetery.

Dorothy Presley Herndon
ALGOOD, Tenn. - Dorothy Presley Herndon died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 85.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Dyer Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tenn.

Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial cemetery.

Geneva Layne
WHITWELL, Tenn. - Geneva O. Layne died Thursday, March 11, 1999. She was 73.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. J.L. Bice officiating.

Burial will be at Whitwell Memorial cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 3 to 10 p.m. CST at the funeral home.
