ATHENS, Tenn. - Emma Sue Saros of Athens died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in a health care center here. She was 77.
A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. in McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Albert Gentry officiating.

PIKEVILLE, Tenn. - Thomas Gordon 'Dock' Terry died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 79.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. CST at the Putnam-Reed Funeral Home Chapel with minister Jim Mac Foust and Albert Roberts officiating.
Burial will be at Worthington cemetery.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Cauley Powell died Sunday, March 14, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 88.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, was employed in insurance sales and at American Hospital Supply.
He was a former resident of Miami and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Minge Powell, and a stepdaughter, Billie Conner Owens.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Conner, Harrison, Tenn., and James Conner, Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Seaton officiating.
Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens.

She was a member of Delano Baptist Church, and the widow of Lester Skiles.

She was widowed by both Robert T. Johnson and Thomas T. Walker, and was the mother of the late George R. Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Jack P. Johnson, Cleveland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roy Wattenbarger
ATHENS, Tenn. - Roy Wattenbarger died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at his home.
He was employed with Ingles as the meat market manager for many years and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Wattenbarger.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Kaye Wattenbarger; one daughter, Dana Buff, Englewood; one brother, Rick Wattenbarger; and four grandchildren.

Star Sharriese Braden of Chattanooga died Sunday, March 14, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 24.
Miss Braden was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church and a graduate of Chattanooga State. She volunteered at the Warner Park Zoo and Camp Horizon.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garfield W. Braden.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Margaret A. Gray and Daniel Johnson; and two brothers, Murrell Edward Smith and James Lewis Smith, both of Chattanooga.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Ridgeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Daniels and the Rev. Linda Scereno officiating.
