CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Ina Rosetta Land died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 91.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle McNabb officiating.

Burial will be in Plowman cemetery.

Daniel Macon
SWEETWATER, Tenn. - Daniel Leon Macon died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 77.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrius Waters officiating.

Burial will be in Sweetwater Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Arrangements are by M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.

Euva May
PIKEVILLE, Tenn. - Euva Elizabeth DeBoard May died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 74.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. CST at Putnam-Reed Funeral Home with ministers L.J. Reel and T.A. Smith officiating.

Burial will be in DeBoard cemetery.

Marjorie Nelson
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Marjorie B. Nelson died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 81.

Arrangements will be announced by Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

William Presswood
BENTON, Tenn. - William Walter Presswood died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 69.

He was a lifelong resident of Polk County, a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked at Hardwick Sundry in Cleveland. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sachiko Presswood; one sister, Betty Parker, Benton; two brothers, Alvin Presswood, Benton, and Tommy Presswood, Colorado Springs, Colo; his stepmother, Audie Bell Erwin, Benton.

Memorial services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral home in Benton.

Norma Rayburn
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Norma J. Rayburn died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 65.

She attended North Cleveland Church of God and was a member of the C.O.P.E. Support Group.

She served as president of the Church of God Ladies Ministries in Michigan, Chicago Metro and Alaska.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Billy J. Rayburn, Cleveland; two sons, Michael Rayburn and the Rev. Brian Rayburn, Brentwood, Ten.; two daughters, Diane Begley, Garden City, Mich., and Debbie Cable, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; three brothers, Donald Parnell, Canon City, Co., Winston Parnell, Battle Creek, Mich., and Gary Parnell, Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Dorothy White, Decatur, Tenn., and Shelley Ziegler, Houston; 10 grandchildren.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the North Cleveland Church of God with pastor Mitch Maloney and pastor Gary Sears officiating.

Burial will be Sunday at the Christ Church Memorial Gardens in Nashville, with the Rev. L.H. Hardwick officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cross-Cultural Ministries or the Romanian Ministries.

Bonnie Seals
DUNLAP, Tenn. - Bonnie A. Seals died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a Pikeville Nursing Home. She was 86.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. CST at Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Cagle-Mountain Pleasant cemetery.

Martin Smith
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Martin L. Smith died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 74.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 81, attended Michigan Avenue Baptist Church and was also a member of the Senior Activity Center.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Smith; three stepsons, one grandson, three sisters, Pearl Gribble and Mattie Lou Russell, both of Cleveland and Pauline Wilson, Benton, Tenn.; one brother, the Rev. Johnny Smith, Cleveland; half brother Steve Woodward, Cleveland; nieces and nephews.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating.

Burial will be in veterans section of Fort Hill cemetery.

Nicholas Sneed
NIOTA, Tenn,. - Nicholas N. Sneed died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at his home. He was 75.

He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and retired from Oak Ridge Laboratory. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his sister, Laura Robbie Stocksbury, Andersonville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Little Sycamore cemetery in Tazewell, Tenn., with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating.

Arrangements are by Bordwine Funeral Home.

Maudie Stone
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Maudie Dill Stone died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 81.

Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. CST at Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg, with elder Sandy Kinslow officiating.

Burial will be in Cumberland View cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evelyn Thompson
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Evelyn Jean Crystal Faye Thompson died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 57.

Arrangements will be announced by M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home.

John Adams
John Herman Adams, retired after 20 years from Cavalier Corp., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at his Red Bank home. He was 82.

Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelton Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Margaret Alexander
Margaret Nadine Burke Alexander died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 81.

She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, and was the widow of Dwight B. Alexander Jr.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Helen Jacks, Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. Andy Sneed officiating.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Nellie Bass
Nellie Mae Bass of Nashville died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 80.

Services will be today at noon at Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Monroe Freeman Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Jo Ann Bell
Jo Ann Cobbs 'Mama Bell' Bell died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 67.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with pastor Kevin Adams Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Nannie Berry
Nannie F. Berry died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at her home. She was 93.

She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Berry; three sons, George D. Jr., Frederick D., and Bobby F. Berry; and a daughter, Jacqueline Berry Stone.

Survivors include two sons, Carter G. Berry and Charles M. Berry; three daughters, Doretha Moore, Sharon E. Green, and Fontaine Moore; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Morris Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry Brown
Grady Willis 'Jerry' Brown of Rossville died Thursday, Jan. 11, 1999, at a local hospital. He was 84.

A longtime resident of the North Georgia area, Mr. Brown was a member of Rossville Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Leona Gannaway Brown, Rossville; one daughter, Carolyn Lee Jenkins, Acworth, Ga.; one son, Larry Brown, Ringgold, Ga.; two sisters, Effie Mae Whitlow and Katherine Plemons, both of Ringgold; one brother, Leon Brown, Ringgold; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with minister Steve Riley and minister Jack James officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lurlene Brown
Lurlene 'Turkey' Brown died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 64.

She was former employee at Yesterday's Restaurant, and attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, James Frye; one sister, Mary Jo Brown; two brothers, Calvin Albert and Melvin Brown, all of Chattanooga; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Crombie-Pinkard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Ball officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
