James Cash
James Cash died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at his home in Park City. He was 94.

He was retired from Ross-Meehan Foundry and was a member of New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the eldest deacon. Upon his retirement, he was awarded the title of Honorary Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Cunningham Cash, a daughter, Hazel Strickland, and a son, James Cash Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Julius, Fred, and George Cash, all of Chattanooga; 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. A.L. Domineck officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Visitation will be after noon today at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arch Day
Arch Day, a prominent community leader and retired secretary at Mills & Lupton Supply Co., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at his home.

Arrangements will be announced by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home where the family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m.

Jennings Dye
Jennings Donald Dye died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 65.

He was a Baptist, a son of the late Willis F. and Emma Hazel Leffew Dye, and the husband of the late Juanita Woody Dye.

Survivors include one son, Donald Jennings Dye, Louisiana; two sisters, Lillia Dye and Cora Lee Skiles; two brothers, Willis F. Dye Jr., and Aubrey Dean Dye, all of Chattanooga.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale McGowon and the Rev. Paul Bishop officiating.

Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, Signal Mountain.

Visitation will be today from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Gladys Fain
Gladys J. Fain died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at a local hospital. She was 72.

Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thomas Tucker officiating.

Arrangements are by the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Hubert Farmer
Hubert Farmer of Chattanooga died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Philadelphia.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Margaret Fox
Margaret L. Fox of Chattanooga died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 59.

She was a native of Laurel, Miss., and had lived in Mountain Home, Ariz., before moving to Chattanooga.

Mrs. Fox was a member of First Baptist Church in Denham Springs, La.

She was preceded in death by her father, John B. Barnett.

Survivors include her husband, Ken R. Fox, Chattanooga; two daughters, Margaret Elizabeth Melanson, Albuquerque, N.M., and Amanda Kathryn Fox, Chattanooga; her mother, Margaret Edna Barnett; and one brother, John B. Barnett Jr., Denham Springs.

The body has been taken to Seale Funeral Service in Denham Springs for services.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Wayne Gilbert
Wayne C. Gilbert died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 75.

Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Siskin Foundation, One Siskin Plaza, Chattanooga, TN 37403, or the Arthritis Foundation, 735 Broad St., Chattanooga, TN 37402.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Mattie Graves
Mattie Graves died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at her home. She was 72.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Fred Hayes
Fred Hayes died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Charles Jackson
Charles B. Jackson, a longtime Chattanooga resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in a McMinn County nursing home. He was 90.

Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. George Dunbar officiating.

Visitation will be today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home.

Lucy Johnson
Lucy D. Johnson of Chattanooga died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Alexian Health Care Center on Signal Mountain. She was 100.

Arrangements will be announced by the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Floyd Lovelace
Floyd Lovelace died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie M. Lovelace; six sons, Floyd Lovelace Jr., Cleveland, Tenn., Joe Frank Williams, Oakland, Calif., Ronald McDaniel, and Anthony, Larry and Derrick Lovelace, all of Chattanooga; one daughter, Cheryl L. Manson, Chattanooga; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Ingram officiating.

Burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Lakewood East Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hal McCullough
Hal E. McCullough died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Sanabel Island, Fla. He was 75.

Arrangements will be announced by Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Inell Moore
Inell H. Moore died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at her home. She was 85.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Odailiar Randle
Odailiar Randle died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 92.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. in Greenwood cemetery with Albert Collins officiating.

The body will be at Taylor Funeral Home today after 8:30 a.m.

James Richmond
James P. Richmond of Ewing, Va., and father of Dr. James P. Richmond Jr., of Chattanooga, died here Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, after a short illness.

Mr. Richmnd was a businessman who started his career as an auditor with the Lee County. He formed the Richmond-Yeary Oil Co. in Danville, Ky., in 1961 and retired in the mid 1980s.

He was active in the Kentucky Petroleum Marketers' Association and was a past president. He was an active member of Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church of Rose Hill, Va., and the First Presbyterian Church of Danville, Ky.

Mr. Richmond attended the University of Kentucky's School of Commerce. He served in the U.S. Army and the Army Air Corps and participated in the D-Day landings in Normandy. After the war he formed his own company to distribute Shell oil products in Southwest Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sewell Richmond.

Other survivors include a stepson, Geoffrey S. Mitchell, Annapolis, Md.; one brother, Porter Yeary Richmond, Richmond, Ky.; and four grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill, Va.

Burial will be in the Richmond family cemetery in Ewing, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Children's Home in the Highlands, P.O. Box 545, 425 Grayson Road, Wytheville, VA 24382, or the Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church in Rose Hill, Va.

Suzanne Simpson
Suzanne M. Simpson of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was 50.

Services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Clankston Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kayla Smith
Kayla Smith of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital form injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was 6.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy, with the Rev. Jim Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy.

Lillie Anderson
Lillie A. Anderson died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at her home. She was 91.

Services will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Herring officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Loretta Barva
Loretta M. Barva died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 90.

The body has been taken to Erie, Pa., for services and burial.

Arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
