Alyce Payne
Alyce Willa Payne died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Bradley County. She was 81.

She was a member of East Ridge Church of Christ and had worked for the Frances Shop in Rossville.

Survivors include two brothers, Eugene 'Gene' Payne, Cleveland, and Charles Phillip Payne, Bogart, Ga.; one sister, Martha Elizabeth Hilburn, Rome, Ga.

A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with minister Charles Cochran and minister Wayne Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to East Ridge Church of Christ Mission Fund, 501 McBrien Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.

Wesley Pierson
Former Chattanoogan Wesley H. Pierson died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at his home in Jacksonville, Fla. He was 78.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at West Normandy Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Odailiar Randle
Odailiar Randle died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 92.

Survivors include two daughters, Ida Lee Collins, Youngstown, Ohio, and Lucille Davis, Chattanooga; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Greenwood cemetery with Albert Collins officiating.

The body will be at Taylor Funeral Home Friday after 8:30 a.m.

Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Richard Rochelle
Richard Dinsdale Rochelle died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at his home. He was 52.

A native of Little Rock, Ark., he had resided in Chattanooga for 10 years. He was an Army veteran having served both in Korea and the Vietnam conflict.

Mr. Rochelle was a truck driver and an artist with work permanently housed in the American Museum of Folk Art in New York City.

Survivors include his mother, Doris Rochelle, Phoenix, Ariz,; three sisters, Donna Rochelle, Phoenix, Denise Oltersdorf, Waddell, Ariz., and Carmen Barwikowski, Brighton, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Franklin and chaplain Emily Brault officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37343.

Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral Service.

Louise Russell
Louise Powell Gilbreath Russell of Chickamauga died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 58.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Harbor Lights Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Parker, the Rev. Jack Green and the Rev. Jim Powell officiating.

Burial will be in LaFayette cemetery.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.

Tammy Sharp
Tammy Kay Sharp of East Ridge died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999. She was 37.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Suzanne Simpson
Suzanne M. Simpson of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was 50.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Clankston Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kayla Smith
Kayla Smith of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital form injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was 6.

Kayla was in Mrs. Hutchins first grade class at Soddy Elementary School and attended Oak Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Jenny Hawk Lewis and Kevin Lewis; her father and stepmother, Jason and Karen Weathers; one sister, Haley Eustice; four brothers, Jacob and Austin Lewis, and Zachary and Seth Weathers, all of Hixson; grandparents, Ricky and Laurie Smith, Pat and Kenny Brown, and Tim Weathers, all of Soddy-Daisy; Ernie 'Slick' and Rhonda Logan, and Carl and Peggy Tankersley, Hixson, Mark and Shelly Duncan, Missouri, and Betty and Owen Lewis, Flintstone, Ga.; great-grandparents, Helen McClure, Hixson, Lloyd and Connie Owen, Michigan, Eugene and Francis Duncan, Missouri, Margie Weathers, Alabama, Malcolm Lewis, Virginia, Edith Smith, Soddy-Daisy, and Tootsie Logan, Georgia; one great-great-grandmother, Bonnie Belcher, Georgia.

Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy, with the Rev. Jim Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy.

Kayla Marie Travis died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Granny Walker cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Hawkins officiating.

Visitation will be today from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Mary Wagner
A graveside memorial service for Mary Rawlings Wagner, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. D. Stuart Dunnan officiating.

Mrs. Wagner died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998.

Lindsey Wright
Lindsey Henry Wright of Rossville died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 78.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry DeFore and the Rev. Randy Chesnut officiating.

Burial will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

Glenda Frizzell
Glenda Davis Frizzell died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at her home. She was 54.

The lifelong Chattanooga resident had worked for United Hamilton Distributors for 20 years, Woolworths for five years, the Home Plate and, most recently, Gordon's Cleaners.

She was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Burke Jr., Hixson, and Marty J. Burke, Chattanooga; two sisters, Peggy J. Burney, Signal Mountain, and Charlotte A. Day; and a brother, James L. Davis, Chattanooga.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Silver Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy Webb officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Charles Glenn
Charles Glenn died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 66.

Services will be today at noon at Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. William Clark and the Rev. Calhoun officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Lloyd Goines
Lloyd Goines of Rossville died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 63.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Stanley Hammon
Stanley Hammon of East Ridge died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at his home. He was 58.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. CST at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church in Hollywood, Ala., with the Rev. Kelton Williams and the Rev. Wallace Summer officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Haven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.

The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405, or Calvary Baptist Church, 5201 Dayton Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37515.

Virginia Jett
Virginia Lee Knowles Knox Jett of Chickamauga died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at her home. She was 86.

Services will be today at 12:30 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Chickamauga with the Rev. Walter McLin and other ministers officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Visitation will be 30 minutes before the service at the church.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.

Valerie Lindsey
Valerie Lindsey died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at a local hospital. She was 45.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Franklin Stoudermire.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Lindsey; mother, Romeo Anderson,; one daughter, Latasha Lindsey; two sisters and six half sisters, Marion Anderson and Wanda Ray, and Irene, Jean, Janice, Sharon, Connie and Patricia Stoudermire, all of Chattanooga; two brothers and eight half brothers, Michael and Gregory Anderson, and Jesse, Franklin, Mason, Edward, David, Larry, Frederick and Elijah Stoudermire, all of Chattanooga; and two granddaughters.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Chaney officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Visitation will be after noon today at the funeral home.

Floyd Lovelace
Floyd Lovelace died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
