Esther Lucas
Esther Stamps Lucas of Warner Robins, Ga., died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 81.

Services will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Clarence Holland officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Houston County, Ga., P.O. Box 1023, Warner Robins, GA 31093.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Floyd McMurray
Floyd McMurray died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999. He was 78.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. CST at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Gadsden with the Rev. Lenner officiating.

Arrangements are by Adams and Buggs Funeral Home, Gadsden.

This announcement is by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Lola Moses
Lola Moses of Soddy-Daisy died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 88.

She was a member of the Daisy Church of God.

Survivors include one sister, Myrtle Settles, Soddy-Daisy; one brother, Freeman Smith, Florida.

Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Estle Sanders officiating.

Pearl Napier
Pearl 'Granny' Napier of Rossville died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 89.

She was a native and lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area, and a member of Jones Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Childers, Ringgold; five sons, Roy Carroll, Hixson, Don Riebe, Hendersonville, Nev., Bobby Persinger, Rossville, and H.P. 'Pat' Napier and Richard 'Rick' Napier, Chickamauga; one brother, Ralph Crunmley, Fort Oglethorpe; one sister, Ida Fisher, Morris, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Galloway officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jessie Neighbors
Jessie Irene Neighbors of Soddy-Daisy died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 80.

She was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Luke Neighbors, Soddy-Daisy; two sisters, Louise Kilgore, Palmer, Tenn., and Alene Hogan, Chattanooga.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. David Stancil officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Wesley Pierson
Former Chattanoogan Wesley H. Pierson died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at his home in Jacksonville, Fla. He was 78.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at West Normandy Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Henry Redding
Henry H. Redding, formerly of Chattanooga, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Atlanta. He was 73.

Survivors include one sister, Gwendolyn Walton, Chattanooga; two brothers, Cosby Redding, Miami, and Alvin Redding, Chattanooga.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. in Atlanta.

Arrangements are by Alfonso Dawson & Son Mortuary, Atlanta.

Richard Rochelle
Richard Dinsdale Rochelle died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at his home. He was 52.

Arrangements will be announced by Covenant Funeral Service.

Louise Russell
Louise Powell Gilbreath Russell of Chickamauga died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 58.

She was a member of Harbor Lights Baptist Church and an employee of the Roper Corporation.

Survivors include her husband, J.W. Russell; four daughters, Kim Cheatwood and Tracy Barnes, both of Chickamauga, Sherry Wallin and Chandra Weaver, both of LaFayette, Ga.; two sons, Chris and Scotty Russell, LaFayette; 11 grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Harbor Lights Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Parker, the Rev. Jack Green and the Rev. Jim Powell officiating.

Burial will be in LaFayette cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.

Tammy Sharp
Tammy Kay Sharp of East Ridge died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999. She was 37.

A native of Indiana, she had been a resident of East Ridge for many years and was employed by Durkan Spinning Mills.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Anthony Sharp; three sons, Mark Sharp Jr. and Nicolas Sharp, Chattanooga and Joshua Bentley, Tunnel Hill, Ga.; two daughters, Sarah and Angela Sharp, Chattanooga; her father, Michael Chisko, Altoona, Pa.; her mother, Carolyn Chisko, Lakewell, Fla.; one sister, Dawn Hagan, Houston; four brothers, Mike Chisko, Florida, Ronald and Tony Chisko, Pennsylvania, and Todd Chisko, West, Va.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home .

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Suzanne Simpson
Suzanne M. Simpson of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was 50.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Marsh Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Paul C. Simpson, Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Elizabeth Sue Drouillard, Soddy; son, Paul F. Simpson, Soddy; mother, Irene C. Marsh, Soddy; sister, Jeannie Gail Guardiola, Waco, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Clankston Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

George Skillington
George M. Skillington died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in a local hospital.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Tucker officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Adeline Smith
Adeline A. Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 90.

A native of Patterson, N.Y., Mrs. Smith had lived in Hamilton County since 1971.

She was retired from Tully-DeNapoll in New York after 40 years. She was the widow of Walter Frank Smith.

Survivors include one daughter, Eileen Marchese, Ooltewah; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Dino Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.

There will be no visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, which is in charge of arrangements.

Kayla Smith
Kayla Smith of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 6.

Arrangements will be announced by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Sara Taylor
Sara Frances Taylor died Sunday, Jan. 7, 1999, at her home. She was 83.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. LeBron Williams and the Rev. Larry Underwood officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Kayla Travis
Kayla Marie Travis died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in a local hospital.

Survivors include her parents, John and Jennifer Travis; one sister, Courtney Michelle Travis, Hixson; grandparents, David Travis, Waverly, Tenn., Lesanna Travis, Soddy, and Alfred and Darlene Wilbanks, Hixson.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Granny Walker cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Hawkins officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Meretta Turner
Meretta Novela Turner of Soddy-Daisy died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 59.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. James F. Cross officiating.

Burial will be in Harvey cemetery in Dunlap, Tenn.

Mary Wagner
A graveside memorial service for Mary Rawlings Wagner, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. D. Stuart Dunnan officiating.

Mrs. Wagner died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998.

Max Wilkey
Max R. Wilkey Sr. of Lupton City died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 88.

Services will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Dover and the Rev. Bill Lassiter officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 5, Lupton City, TN 37351.
