Lillian Nations
Lillian Ann Nations of Rossville, died Thursday, Jan, 21, 1999, at her home. She was 50.

She was a native of Fort Payne, Ala., and had lived most of her life in north Georgia.

She worked as a weaver at Crystal Springs Mill in Chickamauga and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Nations; three children, Terry Nations, Rossville, Jackie Garrett, Chickamauga and Sharon Silvey, Hendersonville, Tenn.; three sisters, Juanita Plaster, Rossville, Shirley Garmany, LaFayette, Ga., and Terry Jordon, Kensington, Ga.; one brother, Willie Garner, LaFayette; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Goins and the Rev. William O'Neal officiating.

Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Visitation will be today after 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joseph Paris Joseph Paris died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local nursing home. He was 76.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Robin Pearce
Robin Lenea Pearce died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at her home. She was 35.

She was longtime resident of the North Georgia and Chattanooga areas.

Mrs. Pearce was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.

She was a self-employed nail technician.

Survivors include her parents, the Rev. Bud and Linda Lindsay, Rossville; two brothers, Barry Lindsay, Ringgold, Ga., and Mark Lindsay, Rossville; one sister, Tammee Schrudder, Bryant, Ala.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Sam Sharp officiating.

Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Paul Phillips
Paul Edwin Phillips of Rossville died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 83.

Arrangements will be announced by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Ashley Purse
Ashley Allgood Purse, formerly of Chattanooga, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999.

Mr. Purse attended the University of the South at Sewanee, Tenn., and served in the Air Force.

He had an extensive banking career which included positions as president of Great Western Bank and Trust Co., president of the Bank of Tucson, and executive vice president of Security Savings and Loan.

He also served as general manager of the Arizona Inn and worked for Kingston and Associates, an executive search firm.

Survivors include his children, Ruth Martin, Arizona, Mary Short, South Dakota, and Ashley Purse Jr., and Donald Purse.

Mr. Purse donated his body to science.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chambliss Children's Home.

Sarah Rhodes
Sarah 'Jeep' Rhodes died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, in Huntsville, Ala.

Arrangements will be announced by Crombie-Pinkard Funeral Home.

John Rock
Maj. John Michael Rock, retired, of East Ridge died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 80.

Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Mike Nolan and the Rev. Richard Rock officiating.

Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Joan Sawyer
Joan A. Sawyer died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 49.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Emma Stephenson
Emma Selvidge Stephenson of Soddy-Daisy died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 92.

Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Parker officiating.

Burial will be in Ware cemetery.

Barbara Suttles Barbara L. Suttles died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in a local hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Percy Todd
Percy E. 'Chip' Todd of Cypress, Texas, formerly of Apison, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in a Houston hospital. He was 43.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Plowman cemetery with the Rev. William C. Poister officiating.

Following the service the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Apison United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Box 103, Houston, TX 77030-4095.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Marvin Tucker
Marvin Edward Tucker of Rossville, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 72.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Burial with full military honors will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Stephen White
Stephen Edward White of Hixson died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 46.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. George Stephens officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Lankford Wright
Lankford Wright of Soddy-Daisy died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 76.

He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel M. Wright; two daughters, Linda W. Lee, Alabama, and Anna Faye Clark, Soddy-Daisy; one son, Wayne A. Wright, Soddy-Daisy; two brothers, Ethelbert Wright, and John Marion 'Babe' Wright, Soddy-Daisy; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.

Burial will be in Varner cemetery in Soddy-Daisy.

Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Rostislav Zavodmitskiy
Rostislav Zavodmitskiy died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 61.

A native of Rovno, Ukraine, he had been a Chattanooga resident for the past three months. He was a member of the Ukraine Congregation at Lee Highway Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Tatyana F. Zavodmitskiy; four daughters, Svetlana Kravchuk, London, Canada, Ruslana Livarchuk, and Nataliya Zavodnitskaya, Chattanooga, Kiliya Poluykchovich, Ashville, N.C., and Valeriy Zavdomitskiy, Riga, Lativa; one brother, Alexander Zavdomitskiy; one sister, Antonia Maksimchuk, both of Seattle; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with pastor Slanik Sokil officiating.

Burial will be in Ooltewah cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
