Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Pearl Hall, age 69, of River Road, Fayetteville, TN who passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 in the Lincoln Medical Center will be conducted Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Wayne Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. Hall was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Laureen Goodrich Wilson. She worked as a Nurses' Tech for 20 years at the Lincoln Care Center. She also was District President for Avon and sold Avon products for many years and was a member of the New Haysland Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall is survived by 2 daughters: Angela Hall & Lena Mae Hall both of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son: Reginald Hall of  Texas; 10 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

Mr. Woodrow Thomas Martin

October 16, 1918 - September 23, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. Woodrow Thomas Martin, age 89, of Elora, TN, who passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Sunbridge Health Center in Winchester, TN will be conducted on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Bostick Cemetery in Elora, TN. Mr. Martin was a native of Jackson County, AL the son of late William  Washington & Rosie Jane Pruitt Martin. He was a farmer and a member of the Vanntown Holiness Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Mae Edwards Martin in 1990. He is survived by 4 daughters: Rowetta Nunley of Park City, TN, Melvina Anderson of Sewanee, TN, Kathaleen Bowen of Winchester, TN, & Wanda Mooney of Decherd, TN; 4 sons: Tony Martin of Elora, TN, Hugh D. Martin of Nashville, TN, Archie Martin of Vanntown, TN & Alvin Martin of Tacoma,  Washington; 1 brother: Horace Martin of New Market, AL; 23 grandchild, and 28 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, September 25, 2008 5 until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

Mr. William G. Shull

May 26, 1940 - September 28, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. William G. Shull, age 68, who passed away Sunday evening at the Jerry L. Pettis V.A. Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. will be conducted on Saturday, October 04, 2008 at 12 noon in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Grizzard officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Shull was a native of Lincoln County, TN the son of the late William Green (Sun) Shull and Lurlean Hall Shull who survives. He was a graduate of West End High School class of 1958. He served his country in the United States Air Force serving 20 years. He also worked for the United States military as a Inventory Manager for 20 years before his retirement. In addition to his father, Mr. Shull was preceded in death by his wife: Delores Shull; a sister: Barbara Shull Jones and a brother: Joe Mitchell Shull. He is survived by 2 daughters: Willa Shull of San Bernardino, CA, & Deborah Smith of Fayetteville, TN; his mother: Lurlean Hall Shull of Fayetteville, TN; a sister: Lucille Shull Conners of Las Vegas, NV; 2 brothers: Jerry Shull (Calinda), Ray Kenneth Shull of Bloomfield, MI; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 5 nephews; & 2 nieces. A very special & devoted friend: Rose Spaulding of Riverside, CA and a host of other family and friends. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 04, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

Ms. Martha Moore

August 02, 1931 - October 02, 2008

Funeral services for Ms. Martha Moore, age 77 of Manning Road, New Market, AL who passed away at her residence Thursday afternoon, October 02, 2008 will be conducted on Sunday, October 05, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Plevna Holiness Church with Rev. Ricky Holman, Bruce Brazier, & Roy Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in New Market, AL. She was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, the daughter of the late Roy & Lillie Mae Taylor Mearse. She worked as a Janitor for the Madison Co. Board of Education at Lynn Fanning School and was a member of the Plevna Holiness Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Moore in 1999; and her brothers: Louis & Albert Mearse. She is survived by 3 sisters: Hazel Watson of Winchester, TN, Josephine Walker of Cowan, TN, & Novella Harmening of Flintville, TN; 5 brothers: Roy Mearse of New Market, AL, Thomas Mearse of Flintville, TN, Roger, Luke, and Rick Mearse all of Fayetteville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. Visitation with family will Saturday, evening October 04, 2008 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Ms. Moore will also lie in state at the Plevna Holiness Church on Sunday, October 05, 2008 from 12 noon until 2 p.m.

Mr. Henry "Allen" Burrows

July 02, 1935 - October 02, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. Henry "Allen" Burrows, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN who passed away at the Lincoln Care Center on Thursday evening, October 02, 2008 will be conducted on Sunday, October 05, 2008 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Lon Ostrycki officiating. Burial will follow in the Roland Hills Cemetery. Mr. Burrows was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, he was the son of the late Frank Henry "Buster" and Alvada Moore Burrows. He was a Welder in the Construction Industry. Survivors include 2 daughters: Kathy Sisk of Fayetteville, TN & Sarah Burrows of Pulaski, TN; 1 son: Allen "Dewayne" Burrows of Ardmore, AL; 1 sister: Annetta Casteel of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren; & 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 04, 2008 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary Dean Holley

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dean Holley, age 87, who passed away Monday evening, October 06, 2008 in the Lincoln Medical Center will be conducted on Thursday, October 09, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradshaw Cemetery in Giles County, TN. Mrs. Holley was a native of Giles County, TN she was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Zaida Judia Clift. She was a seamstress for Serbin Fashions and a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: J.D. Holley in 1968. She is survived by 4 grandchildren: Bobby Randolph, Jared Pierce, & Lee Ann Holley all of Fayetteville, TN; Trapper Holley of Punta Gorda, FL. and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, October 08, 2008 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jessie Mae Metcalf

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Mae Metcalf, age 88, of Petersburg, TN will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Petersburg First Baptist Church with Rev. Aubrey Knois officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Orchard Cemetery. The Gallant-Riverview Funeral is assisting the family. Mrs. Metcalf was a native of Moore County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Earnest E. & Mary Evalynn Gibson Metcalf. She was a seamstress with Petersburg Manufacturing and a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Thurman Metcalf; sisters: Sarah Parrish, Lucille Price, & Ernestine Young; brothers: Lawrence, William, J.M, Charles Metcalf, and a infant brother. Mrs. Metcalf is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Evalynn Casteel, and Sandra G. King; 2 son: Wayne & Pete Whitsett all of Petersburg, TN; 3 step-daughters: Gladys Metcalf & Betty Wells both of Petersburg, TN & Bessie Clevenger of Fayetteville, TN; a sister: Rosanell Tucker of Fayetteville, TN; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, October 10, 2008 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Petersburg First Baptist Church.

Mr. Robert Samuel Britton

February 16, 1930 - October 10, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Samuel Britton, age 78, of Hazel Green, AL who passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at his residence, will be conducted graveside in Britton Cemetery Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Elders Harless Hale & Loyd Simmons officiating. Mr. Britton was a native of Madison Co, AL, son of the late Sam Dewey & Virgie Ann Fanning Britton. He was an assembly plant operator for Rocket Motor Manufacturing and he was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Along with his parents, Mr. Britton was preceded in death by 1 grandchild: Joseph Wayne Britton; 1 sister: Nannie Posey & 3 brothers: James, David & Rufus Britton. He is survived by wife: Agnes Stewart Britton; 1 daughter: Anita Kay & husband: John Howard; 1 son: Robert Michael Britton all of Hazel Green, AL; 4 sisters: Annie Corie of Hazel Green, AL, Rachel Rutledge of Flintville, TN, Vera Murdock, & Sara Coble both of Fayetteville,TN; 2 brothers: Joseph Britton of Flintville, TN, Charlie Britton of Hazel Green, AL; 5 grandchildren: Robert David & Cynthia Britton, Ashlee & Justin Buchanan, Mary Leeann Howard, John Dwight Howard, Jr., Samuel James Albert Howard; 1 step-grandchildren: Shannon Haley Bullington; 3 great-grandchildren: Megan Marie & Robert Dylan Britton & Nicholas Dewayne Glover. Vistitation with the family we be Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Joe Edd Williams

December 21, 1931 - October 14, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Edd Williams, age 77, of Broadview Drive, Huntsville, AL, who passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at his residence will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Blanche Cemetery. Mr. Williams was a native of Lincoln County, TN the son of the late Edgar Sewell & Mattie Belle Coats Williams. He was a Electronic Technician at Redstone Arsenal, was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member V.F.W, a member of the Colonial Golf Club, & a Alabama Football enthusiast. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy E. Williams and a brother: Austin C. Williams. Survivors include his wife: Delphine Mullins Williams of Huntsville, AL; 2 daughters: Nancy Bastin of Hazel Green, AL, and Gloria Lemley of Huntsville, AL; a son: Randy Williams & wife: Jamie of Flintville, TN; 2 cousins: Juanita Towry & Bill Davidson; 9 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, October 16, 2008 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
